Ludwig was running with the rest of his men, warning klaxons were going off like crazy. They made to the hanger where the rest of the regiment and embarked on the many valkyries ready to carry them to the surface of the planet below. Ludwig grimaced after he had strapped in, he had heard it was a desert world and he didn't look forward to the sun and annoying sand. He looked around at his platoon command squad and said, "Another soon to be glorious victory for us men!" they all chuckled at this as the valkyrie took off into the atmosphere.
The descent was smooth for the most part, this was going to be just as simple as taking candy from... suddenly the valkyrie shook violently, Ludwig took as turbulence and resettled himself. Suddenly a huge "KRACK" sounded followed by what sounded like a monumentous explosion, and then they were falling, howling wind entered as the rear boarding ramp was ripped off, exposing the cabin to the shrieking air around them, and then it all went black...
Ludwig woke up, and the first thing he saw was the sky filled with smoke. He tried to pull himself up, but found he was still strapped to his seat. As he undid the straps he looked around, and noticed that he was in the valkyrie... or at least the half he had been in. He walked out, and then turned around to see if anyone else survived
Anyone alive?
