**Name:** Vraikan (officially "The Confederacy of Vraikan", but even they themselves don't really care for such formality.) **Type:** Marauding nation of somewhat technologically adept savage canine-like men led by a military dictatorship. **Location:** That southernmost island with the mountain range. Any secluded, somewhat remote island will do if for some reason unavailable. **Information:** The Vraikanese are a murderous pest. They frequently assail shipping routes unfortunate enough to be in range of their fleet of "Scrapclad" steamships and often assault anything that happens to be situated on a coastline. However, one relief when it comes to the Vraikanese is that they don't appear to be all that interested in empire building, with their domain remaining much the same size as it has always been. They have also been known to be amenable to bargaining with the victims, accepting tribute in exchange for sparing them of their violence. **Your bag of tricks:** The Vraikanese are extremely adept scavengers and tinkerers. Despite the crudeness of their contrivances, it would be foolish to mistake them for primitives. Though one would not know it from looking at the smoke belching patchwork monstrosities of jagged metal that they call their creations, they have what rates among the most advanced war machines in the world. Just not the most reliable or even safe. Vraikan's strength is not so much in invention, but appropriating the work of others and fastening it together to make something new. Being a race of marauders and pirates, high technology and even scientists tend to be among the things prioritized in their plundering (in addition to valuables and other obvious loot, of course.) On the sea, their steamships tend to be outfitted with massive harpoon launchers (in addition to the usual assortment of cannons and so on) used for impaling their victim's vessels and dragging them close, where they can then be torn apart using saw ended rigs built into the sides of Vraikan warships. This scrap is either used to reinforce the armor of their infamous "Scrapclads", or is taken back to their home islands to be melted down to be used to build more of the Vraikan's inelegant, infernal machines. When a ship is prized enough to be taken whole, boarding raids are conducted using extremely crude rocket gliders if harpooning was unsuccessful. These rocket gliders tend to be liable to explode, and veteran boarders are immediately recognizable by their blackened fur. In fact, the Vraikanese have an often suicidal fascination with rockets in general. One of the most ubiquitous Vraikanese siege engines is the Sturhm, which consists of an array of stacked rockets that are let off in a catastrophic, imprecise swarm. Many of these explode before ever hitting their target, or even collide with other rockets in the barrage, but they tend to be devastating to morale. The more elite of the Vraikanese infantry are even outfitted with miniature, back mounted Sturhm launch rails. Furthermore, those who are brave enough to venture near Vraikan lands have brought home with them rumors of experimental new Vraikanese ships entirely equipped with a deckspace full of massive rockets, which they were allegedly testing on nearby deserted islands. Vraikanese infantry mostly come outfitted with a variety of firearms of wildly varying type and make. While most utilize rifles, the more brutish of their kind are able to heft around handheld, miniaturized gatling guns. Near universal to all are bayonet-like blades, often resembling huge machetes. Their propensity for close combat has most wearing at least scraps of protection similar to crude plate armor. While these are no doubt useless against other firearms, they are intended for close quarters and shrapnel protection (particularly useful due to their tendency to toss in nail-filled bombs before charging). Magic is either either considered beneath the attention of the Vraikanese or is something beyond their comprehension. In any case, it is extremely rare to the point where it is unheard of to see it manifest in any way among their kind. Other- Pictures! I like to think this is mitigated by them being prone to mishap and inaccurate as all dang. Here the application for species; **Name:** Vraikin (Not to be confused with the nation's name, which would be Vraikan.) **Biology:** Beastly humanoid creatures resembling some cross between wolves and hyenas. **Culture:** Some peculiar chimeric thing. When a settlement or even nation finally succumbs to them, it's not only their tangible belongings they make off with, but their very culture too. It's thus not only technology they are known to adapt, but also whole societies as well. Their clothing is as much a clashing of different fashions as their machinery is a clash of co-opted parts. Their society is thus a collection of cargo cult-ish appropriations of many others. There is in fact an entire profession of "Vraikanizers", who are tasked with taking books, poems, plays, songs, etc. of the vanquished and rewriting them as if they were Vraikanese all along. A more ridiculous extreme of this process can be seen with their treatment of artwork, where captured paintings are painted over, edited to feature Vraikin. Vraikin aren't particularly precise, so these edits are very transparent (not to mention are also defacements that make even the most sturdy of the art world mortified by their lack of tact.) Despite being disorganized in all other regards, the political situation is presently actually quite stable. They have emerged from an odd century or so of infighting as a coherent force under strong, energetic leadership. Gone are the old Vraikin clans, instead there now stands one great unified Vraikan nation. Other-

Name- Mafuta Kipande Nane (Fat Morsel 8) Biography- The story of Mafuta can't be understood without understanding the Beast of Mediodía. On the hillsides of the Great Backspine, the mountain range that spans much of the world's equator the Beast of Mediodía dwells. Mediodía is known to be among the stonier peaks, with its most notable feature being the vastness of the underground caves which once were inhabited by palefolk in their dark city. The palefolk however, in their quarries dug too deep and unleashed the beast who would devour nearly every single palefolk. However, the Bestia del Mediodía found the palefolk to be too bony, and completely lacking in fat. Desiring more fulfilling meals, the Beast of Mediodía (high noon) would kidnap humans from around the local area, usually little children and over the centuries begin to farm humans by acting in part as the landlord of Mediodía to the serf farmers, of whom toil on the hillsides to feed themselves. The beast of Mediodía would frequently, using a small caste of palefolk who are used as proxies for the landlord, acting as micromanagers for the beast itself. The beast by itself is the military of Mediodía, and has gained a fearsome reputation among the local region for hunting down and massacring villages out of sheer boredom- making it so many kingdoms do not venture close to Mediodía. Even now the beast has managed to keep up to date with technology by modifying itself beast itself with composite armor, multiple throwing explosives and a Gatling shotgun it carries with itself everywhere it goes, the sheer size and power of the beast making all these armaments light weight to it. Its sources for these weapons is not known, some conclude the beast made a deal with another kingdom to slaughter the peasants of its rival in exchange for the tech, others believe that the beast made the tech itself. The latter of which, unsettling a possibility to those in the region. The beast would for generations last, seemingly immortal and never known to reproduce or lust. Only having food and surviving as its motives, however thoughtful it may be in how it achieves these two objectives. Its many serfs would be good feed, however much it has to use itself as a means to keep its intelligent cattle in check. However, the serfs from within long for freedom. One such serf was Mafuta. Mafuta, despite his standing as a serf would be specially privileged. He would have dozens of plump, charming little kids with multiple wives who were given much of the food from the serfs who labored. Yet he was unhappy with his life. The only difference between his life and that of other serfs was that he had more food and living space for his children. The sheer boredom of living in such limited environment, isolated from even the lesser serfs outside his massive family made him want to leave Mediodía. To do so, he rounded up his six wives and thirty children and collectively made a run for it. Little did he know, the beast kept an especially close eye on Mafuta’s family... Abilities- Many children, many places; Mafuta is able to be in multiple places at once, up to thirty instances. This is the only ability Mafuta will find itself having, being otherwise a rather generic Kuvuya as far as Kuvuya go. Other- The beast as a character I’m not making a sheet for. For those wondering the importance of this Kuvuya, you’ll see. The beast’s appearance I am not sure of, so for now imagine some really big monster that can fly with a big mouth, sharp teeth and some very dilated pupils.
