Oliver and Cerys wandered through the forest. Leaves and twigs crunched under their heavy footsteps. It had been a nlong day- they wanted to go home. "Check the food" Cerys said. Oliver swung the backpack around and opened it, "Two rabbits and a squirrel. We've done pretty well" he told her with a smile. The sun was beginning to fall and they wanted back to their cave before night. "We'll rest for five minutes" Oliver said. Cerys nodded in agreement and threw herself to the floor. Oliver said against a tree. They were alone. They have been for years. They've seen a few outcasts here and there but they've never spoken to them

Harry sat in the derelict apartment building. A dark grey film lay over his eyes as he watched the moment again and again. The moment he lost her. It had been three months now but he still struggled to cope with her gone and the way she had been brutally murdered and he did nothing but run away. Harry stopped the memory and sat in silence gazing out the window which looked out over the forest.

Oliver got up. "Come on, time to go" he said. Cerys moaned and stood up. They began walking again. They haven't seen anyone in a few weeks now. He didn't know whether it was a good thing or bad. They neared the edge of the forest. From where they were they could see a few buildings. They stepped out from the forest.

Cal watched the male and the girl from the tree as a swallow. Wondering who they were and where they were going, she flew down to the ground and turned into a human, then into a baby red fox. She followed them, not to closely but not too far behind.

Harry seen a swift movement from the window, something had dived down into the trees and transformed. That's when Harry noticed the two figures walking on the ground below just where the shapeshifing like being had landed. Harry had heard what some of these beings were like wondering perhaps if the shape shifter was stalking them to rob them or perhaps worse. "Watch Out!" Harry screamed from the window warning the two strangers of what could be serious danger.

Philip stood up and closed his laptop. He would need to pay for his internet again, as he used a wireless hotspot he had found in one of the apartments a few blocks away. This meant that he would have to either use what little funds he still had in hidden accounts on the internet, or go out and steal some Blade's identity to pay for it, possibly after he was dead. Deciding that he'd rather keep the little bit of money he had, he dimmed his Light and walked out of the computer room. He went to his closet and pulled out a costume. He had decided long ago to make a game out of messing with them, then putting it on Youtube to show the world that they weren't the noble defenders of the people that they pretended to be. In fact, that was only one of the ways he liked to mess with the Blades. Most of his ways amounted to childish pranks meant to make them look stupid, like the time he put pepper juice on the toilet paper of a scouting party, or to sew discord among the ranks, like when he planted stolen pictures of one man's girlfriend in another man's sleeping bag. Some of his efforts, however, struck a real blow for mutant kind, like when he sabotaged their generators, putting there efforts on hold for over a week. This one, however, was just to make them look like fools. He put on his predator costume complete with working arm blade and mask that he found in a comic book store. Once he was ready he grabbed his backpack, rolled up the blanket over the door which was there to block his light from escaping the cracks, and opened the door. After pushing the cases of beer out of the way, he climbed through the shelf and closed the door. He then put the cases back in place and camouflaged himself, taking on one of the more menacing traits of the of the being he was pretending to be. This is going to be fun. he thought as he walked upstairs to go look for one of his enemies. --- Justin had just "ridden the wave" to the roof of the bank where he was living when he heard an explosion from out in the woods. He jumped down through the skylight, cushioning his fall with a roll, then pulled out his cell phone and called his former Mentor. "Hey, Phil, wanna trade?" "Sure," Philip said, "I was just leaving to mess with the Blades, But I can meet you somewhere. You need anything specific?" "I could use some food," he said. "I've got plenty of salvage from the buildings in the area." "Ok," said Philip, "I'll bring you some veggies." After arranging to meet at one of Phil's safe houses and saying goodbye, Justin hung up. He emptied his backpack of much of his salvaged junk, beside his bed in the bank's vault and grabbed some food, a first aid kit, and some duct tape, shoving it into the bag. After that he put on his armor that he had taken off a dead Blade (one that someone else had killed and he managed to get to before the other Blades) and painted a 'waves' symbol on. It was simple Kevlar, but if he had to fight them, it would protect him. Phil had something similar built into his Predator suit for the same reason. When he was done he Jumped through the skylight and ran/boosted himself from room to roof, heading towards the safe house. Even with his delay, he'd probably get there before Phil, thanks to his power. --- Dr. Patel grabbed the captives arm and a flush went over him. A few seconds later, he opened his eyes and drew a knife, cutting the captive's palm. The man screamed in pain, but the doctor laid the man's hand on the table, palm up, and held his own hand over it, willing the man's flesh to mend. A golden light left the doctor's palm and within a few seconds the wound had stopped bleeding, and a few seconds after that, it was just a slight scar. "Yes, Yes," said the doctor, looking at his hand. "So that was the problem." He made a note of it and motioned for the guard to take the prisoner away. "Tell the Commander that I believe I've finished the design for the Regenerator. I'll have a prototype ready within the hour." The Blade nodded and hauled the prisoner away.

Oliver looked at the person who shouted and spun around. He lifted a few stones into his hand and they started to glow purple. It was a fox. Just a baby one. Cerys had put up a forcefield around them as she watched the man at the window. He shouted at them to look at a baby fox. Who knew if he was planning something.

Really?! Cal thought. She saw the man lift stones that glowed purple. She didn't know if her 'cover' was blown or not, but she decided to transform back to a human anyway. She hadn't seen a single person for about a month now, let alone two or three. She decided that these two were Outcasts like her. "Hey, I don't mean any harm! I was just following you guys," she explained, putting her hands up.

Oliver watched her change. He considered her words for a few moments before he dropped the stones. Cerys turned to face the woman. "Any reason why you were following us?" Oliver asked

Henry backed away from the window realizing a vital mistake. What if these people were working together. That shape shifter could have just flown down to meet with them and he had foolishly revealed his position. What if they were some new type of soldier created by the blades. Henry backed into the apartment and began to analyze the memory of what he had just seen to see if he had missed anything.

Cal shook her head. "No, except I haven't seen any other people for a month. Been kind of lonely. I was just being a curious teenager, ya know?" "I don't know who that man was though...," she trailed off.

Oliver thought and then nodded. "Alright" he said. He felt a tug at his shirt. Cerys was looking up at him. "That man. He's gone" she said. "C'mon, we'll check it out" he said. Oliver and Cerys walked the the front door of the building. It took a bit of force but he managed to open it. The building smelt damp. There was nothing except a staircase. He looked at Cerys boforr he walked up them- each step echoing loudly throughout the building. On the second floor there were doors. Apartments most likely. The door he wanted was another floor up. He and Cerys took the next flight up, wondering if that girl was still behind them. They didn't look back to check though. They had to stay cautious. He walked up to a door. If he remembered right this is the right one. He knocked loudly. Cerys took a step back and his behind him while they waited for an answer

Harry sat in his mindless state watching the footage. Were they working together or not? He could not decide. Suddenly a knock at the door startled him and he came our of his trance. "Hello?"

Cal watched them, then turned into a swallow again and followed after them as they went up the stairs. She landed on Cerys shoulder as she stepped back. Cal too, watched the door. She wanted to find this man.

Cerys looked at her shoulder as the bird landed on her. She then averted her attention back to the door. "Open up. I just want to talk to you. No one's here to fight" he said

Ice peers out one of the doors and notices the young man and girl climbing up the stairs. They're probably looking for Harry. She rolls her eyes. That guy is always disappearing. She watches them as they knock on the door and hears Harry's voice from inside. That's surprising. He hardly moves, let alone speaks. She steps out of the room and says, "Uh, hi. What are you doing here?" She watched them. "He probably won't come out, you realize." --- Gideon perches in the tree, looking toward the city. It is a beautiful cith, but he prefers the forest. He drops down out of the tree and begins to walk. He needed to find some food before the night fell or else he wouldn't find anything.

They both turned and saw a woman standing there. "Uh, ok." Oliver said. He didn't know what to say. Cerys sighed. "Keep an eye on the door, I'll talk to her" she told him. Oliver turned back to the door. A small invisible forcefield was sitting around Cerys and Oliver. And the bird... "Who are you?" She asked. Her voice trembled slightly

Any other day Harry would not have answered the door but for some reason he felt drawn to it. Maybe it was because he heard her voice. Maybe there was something about the strangers. He didn't know but he got up to answer the door. He experienced a moment of hesitation as he got to the door. Harry decided he was going to hide his powers from these people for a little while to make sure he could trust them. He opened the door and seen a group of people outside. "erm..hello?" he mumbled.

"Name's Ice," she says. She holds up her hand and it immediately becomes covered with ice. "Real name is Icilane, but most call me Ice. Suiting, isn't it?" She smiles at the girl. "What are you aND you're... brother I'm going to assume... doing anyways?" She peers around the girl at the guy. She had to admit, he was attractive. Her pale skin on her cheeks turn a bright pink and she looks back down at the girl. --- Gideon keeps his head down as he walks through the streets, heading for the grocery store. He needs to get food before nightfall and needs to be back in the forest afterwards. He hurries inside the grocery store and begins to look around.

Cerys smiled slightly at her. "We were just walking and this guy shouted on us." She told her. "Yes, that's my brother" she answered. She smiled again when she noticed her cheeks lighting up. Oliver looked at Ice again as she spoke. A smile forced its way onto his face. He looked back at the man. "You shouted on us. I just wanted to know who you were really" he said
