This RP is set in 2015, and history has been completely screwed. One of the aspects of this RP is that players will be able to change history completely from the classical era to the current year. While names of major events will stay the same, and the technological level will also be the same, players may completely change the outcomes of these events and what nations participated in them. I will also try to keep a tight leash on how much territory any one person is allowed to have, and try to mediate so agreements about the outcomes of events are mutually accepted. Beyond that I do not have anything else to say, and I am just seeing if anyone would be interested in this.

Im interested. Will we be able to create our own countries? Or do those need to stay the same? I had some ideas relating to alternate history with the Civil War or the Roman Empire, but, I'll wait for your reply.

Seems interesting, but I am for some reason absolutely bereft of ideas for it. Maybe when it gets going it'll be clearer.

So in recent news area's will still have the same resources as they do IRL, and areas will also have relatively the same population as they do IRL, although I will allow for some variance. This is mainly to make it easier on me to keep track of certain things and settle arguments better. Edit:And I have a map, but I need someone to do editing. And while you do have a lot of freedom in creating your nation, please keep it at least somewhat serious.

The Congo is a pretty high resource potential area with a growing population at 75 million in our world, and the congo was a total mess for decades in our world with Belgian princes cutting people's hands off and the kelptocracy. If the Congo kept itself together (like, Belgium leaving a couple decades earlier and having the most hyper-competent human to ever live running things for a couple decades) they'd be a considerable force in the world today, likely with a higher population due to not becoming a failed state and having quite a few resources. Butterflies can wreck some shit on how things turn out in the span of a several decades. I am not sure what your PoD is however.

As I said, you can completely modify history. You can even have made it so the Congo was never colonized by Belgium(however under what I want to I still plan to have some colonies in Asia and Africa). Also I feel there is sufficient interest so I am working on the IC right now. I expect lots of mediating will be needed as people will probably want the same areas, and about the outcomes of various events. Oh, and certain events might not happen depending on what the players do.

I take it there is no singular Point of Departure in this RP?

No, I imagine its probably going to be hard to work out a solid timeline as multiple people will being doing different things in different regions. As we get further into the thing we will probably have to collab to get a more solid timeline going. The only thing that will remain the same to IRL is the different ethnic groups as well as their lingual and regional origins, although they could have severely diminished presences.
