Welcome true believers; welcome to All-Star Marvel, an intoxicating land where creativity for creativity's sake can take priority and enable you to render stories and events you could only have dreamed of in all of your previous mundanity. We welcome you to a unique narrative opportunity to take any Marvel character character and re-imagine them in a way that makes them pleasurable for you to write unique and original stories with. In this universe no events in the main Marvel comics continuity are considered canon. It is entirely contained within the forum and within your imagination. Am I over-egging it? Perhaps. It's still pretty cool to see. Whether you're one for emotional drama or a sucker for physical trauma, the vast range of characters available could fit any genre or any purpose you could reasonably imagine. Is your interest piqued by a fresh interpretation of Bruce Banner that you really wanna try out? Own it. Love Thor but hate that darned old hammer? Sling it. Think that The Whizzer is in need of a drastic revival? That's good too. No-one is off limits here. Not even Doop. As long as they have appeared in a canonical Marvel tale on either the page or the screen they're free for refurbishment. Here, the MARVEL UNIVERSE is yours to mold.

Your character must have appeared somewhere in one of the many media that Marvel distributes (comics, films, television, video games, etc.). Therefore, you may not use characters owned by other comic companies (like Batman) or original characters. However, you are free to take liberties in the creation of your character.

Character Sheet template: Player Name: Character You Wish To Play: Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): Character Origin & Backstory: Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? Like the way you propose the writing for heroesis interesting, but like it sounds like we are gunna do solo adventuring? And what about other super groups in teh world? How is that handled? Like I only know of the movie marvel peeps, like x-men, fantastic four, avengers and guardians of the galaxy (lurvs Rocket~~<3!!!) but do all those groups exist in the same timeline? Oh and speaking of timeline, what year is this all set up in?! K, so like after all those questions, I wanna be Kitty Pride!!! Cuz Ellen Page~~<3333!!! Ikr!? Lurvs. K. Later~~!!^-^!!

It will be a mix between solo and 'team' adventures and everyone exists in the same timeline (think of it like the MCU - the non-Spider-Man, X-Men, and Fantastic Four movies, but we can use any characters that we want, as long as they belong to Marvel in some function). Also, the RP will be set in 2012, which in this RP will be around the time when "superhumans" begin to surface around the world. For the groups/teams, the players who have characters in those specific groups will have "control" over the characters that no one is playing (to a certain extent). For instance, for the X-men, the people who are playing the X-Men characters can control the X-men characters that are not played other players. Let's say three people are playing Shadowcat (Kitty Pryde), Gambit, and Cyclops, then those three players have to work together to control the other X-Men, although I would say that some characters are "too" big to be NPC'ed, like Wolverine. Hope that clears things up.

Maybe a simpler example would be the Fantastic Four. If one player wants to play one of the Fantastic Four and if no one else does, I would not be against the idea of allowing that player to control all the members of the Fantastic Four (as it would be difficult to function as one person). As of right now, I have two other people who said that they were interested, making it a total of 4 people so far. The characters we so far have are: -Spider-Man (me) -Gambit -Rogue -Shadowcat (I assume you wish to play as Kitty Pryde)

Right now I would say yes. The idea behind this is to allow other characters to be able to appear in the RP without having to have a bunch of people. There are countless characters in the Marvel Universe (tv, comics, movies, video games, etc.). We cannot possible have an individual person play each character (that would be chaotic and unwieldy). Also note that players may have more than one character labeled as a "Playable Character" (Max. of 3). There is a start limit of 1 and you get the others by making posts. This is just there to make sure people don't just write up character sheets and never post. I hope it will weed out the people who would post two or three times and then go AWL.

Franklin Richards as.....the Sentry (Attempted this before. Fun idea.), Modi Thorson, Skaar son of Hulk, Jimmy Hudson Jr. Son of Wolverine, Ahura Boltagon Son of Black Bolt and Prince to the Inhumans, and lastly Samuel Alexander Rider Son of Richard Rider. As you see, I like the children angle right now. Trying to figure what I wanted to do more. Possibly Ahura. If anyone has an opinion on it then share. Could help my decision.
