Seren walked cautiously down the sidewalk, looking in each alleyway for an unsuspecting victim to be her meal. She finally saw her; a girl in her early twenties. She ran up behind her and with a quick motion, Seren's fangs were in the girl's neck. Little did Seren know though, that she had accidentally used a venom that would allow the girl to live. Seren finished drinking the blood, and pulled away, wiping her sleeve.

Alexis was walking through the alleys, just trying to find somewhere warm to keep her alive throughout the long, freezing night ahead. Shivering vigorously, she was about to climb into the bed of a truck to keep out of sight. The local authorities didn't take too kindly to homeless folk, something to resented wholeheartedly. Out of nowhere, she felt hand around her waist, and a sharp pop of her flesh opening. Fangs? A vampire? Why? She gasped for air and pleaded for the end to come soon. "P...please...stop....I can't take much more." She said in between harsh breaths. When the draining was over, she collapsed to the ground with a thud. "Why...why me?" She asked, staring right into the vampire's scarlet eyes.

"Why you? Because life wasn't gonna get any better for you," she snarled. Seren's eyes suddenly widened. "Why aren't you dead yet?!" she hissed, showing her fangs. Sigh, now she'd have to stay with this girl and wait to see if she actually died or turned. If she did turn, Seren would have to watch over her. It was a rule of the vampires.

Alexis closed her eyes tight and looked at the blood leaking from her neck...running down her arm dropping down to the ground, leaving little dots. Alexis had no idea what to do, she was shaking, starving, and now she got attacked by a vampire and made into a meal. "You...used me like a sack of meat...."

"Yes, yes I suppose I did. Oh well! When you're a vampire, if you become one tonight, you'll know what it's like. Then again, I suppose if you die you won't know." She crouched down besides the girl, ran her fingers across the blood on the girl's arm and licked the blood from her fingers. "Say, what was, is, your name? Just so I know whose name I have taken," she asked in her sly way.

".....Me? A vampire?" Alexis babbled out. Her vision was blurry and her mind was foggy. She could barely move. ".....I can't deal with this any longer...." She babbled out before she heard the question. "A..Alexis."

"Oh, Alexis? Such a sweet and delicate name. I almost wish I hadn't drunk from you now. I'm Serenity. How young are you? I was turned sometime in my mid-twenties. Can never remember...," she trailed off. It was true, she was almost sad for this young girl she had drunk from.

"...Why do you care? Aren't I nothing more than a meal to you?....that's probably not true. I'm sorry." She babbled out once more. Alexis was forgetting where she was...and even that she was bit in the first place. "I'm 21, almost 22. Serenity? That's a pretty name, miss.." Alexis looked up at the vampiress, and quickly lost consciousness. It seemed that the change was beginning to take place. If she woke up, she would now be one with the eternal night.

Even though Seren knew Alexis couldn't hear her, she spoke. "Yes, I know. It's meant to be that way." Seren looked around before picking up Alexis bridal style. She ran with her vampire speed towards the forest that was just outside the city. She ran into her cave and slowed down, setting Alexis on her cot. It was obvious now that she would become a vampire, and Seren growled softly. She then ran back out to the city to drink a little more blood.

She awoke in a cave, out in the forest. Something she would've normally liked, but circumstances have changed indeed. Her vision ran slightly red, and her blood was boiling in her veins, along with a constant burning in her throat. She stood up, but collapsed. It seemed she needed, well, blood. "I can't believe this...i'm craving blood like nothing else, and my mind is okay with it. My body NEEDS it." Alexis sighed out. She caught a look of her bright, pale white skin and gasped. "...Woah. I...I can't even deal with this right now."
