We never thought the Bad guys would win.

The evil organization known as Cipher has managed to succeed against all odds to take near complete control over the land of Orre during the first Shadow Pokemon crisis nearly five years ago. Now that Cipher has control of nearly everything, they are manufacturing Shadow Pokemon en mass for what appear to be a takeover of some of the neighboring lands such as Kanto and Johto so they can further expand their empire.

For all intents and purposes, it looks like Cipher can't be stopped. Only a few brave souls are still fighting against Cipher and their sinister Shadow Pokemon.

You are one of these few remaining trainers and truth be told, it's getting harder and harder to hide from the eyes of Cipher that seem to be everywhere. But everything could change with the return of a heroic trainer who was thought lost nearly five years ago.

Personality:
History:

Snag machines will be introduced early on in the Rp once everyone has met each other and a certain character has made a special apperance.

Rules:
For this Rp, we're going to be keeping to the first three Pokemon generations.
No more than three characters
Grand total of six Pokemon in your party at one time. It's most likely not a wise idea to put them in the PC since Cipher could easily steal them away but if you want to leave them with a trustworthy NPC feel free to.
No super overpowered Pokemon at the beginning of the Rp.
Keep swearing at a minimum.
No killing off other player's characters without permission.
Please let me know if you want to leave the Rp so adjustments can be made.
Have Fun!

Name:
Avris Haynes

Appearance:

Personality:
Avris, despite always appearing calm and collected outwardly, is a very outgoing and lively spirit. While he feels otherwise, those who know him often describe him as having an addictive personality. Claiming that he unknowingly 'broadcasts' his emotions onto those around him. He is quite an active person and derives his motivation as a Pokemon Trainer from his general love of Pokemon. Having experienced the death of his first Pokemon, Avris values the safety and feelings of Pokemon above all else. So much so that he has been known to take attacks from wild pokemon on their behalf.

It should also be noted that Avris is extremely protective of those he cherishes. Hence can become heavily enraged when one of said individuals are unjustly hurt or wronged. This becomes something of a problem when coupled with his kind heart, as he can at times extend this kind of affection to include strangers and acquaintances.

I apologize for the wait in getting my character up. I'm pretty sore today and I pretty much slept in for a bit.

Name: Zakar

Appearance: http://www.deviantart.com/art/Trainer-Azria-Haynes-282544852

Starter Pokemon: Totodile and Larvitar. Neither of them go by a nickname at this time but that may change.

Equipment: an old PDA that was found on the outskirts of Pyrite town and six pokeballs that aren't in the best shape. He also owns a small bike a bit like the one that the protagonist from the first game used although it lacks a sidecar which he uses to move from place to place.

Personality: Zakar is determined to keep fighting Cipher until the bitter end due to the atrocities he has witnessed them committing. He's seen quite a few of them from the siege of Mt. Battle to the capture of Justy the Phenac Gym leader. He is willing to ally with anyone who also fights against Cipher but he doesn't like to see innocents get hurt. He cares deeply for his two Pokemon and does his best to keep them healthy.

History: Most of Zakar's history is unknown. Rumor has it that he was seen at Mt. Battle on a few occasions around the time the threat from Cipher was making itself known but after they began to expand their operations he dropped out of sight for a few months at a time, surfacing only when he needed to buy supplies at Pokemarts. He recently showed his face three months ago and has been battling it out with Cipher since his most recent return to Orre. He has shown no sign of stopping in his crusade to take Cipher down for good.

Just now realized you have a Larvitar, and must ask: Two trainers can't have a starter of the same species, right?
(asking because I planned to use Larvitar & Ekans)

EDIT: nvm; didn't realize Aron was Gen 3

Name: Tzilah Bernadotte

Starter Pokemon:

Equipment: All Tzilah has to her name right now, aside from her faithful companions Bulk & Skull and the Pokeballs they reside in, is a run-down motorbike that looks ready to fall apart at any moment, one empty Pokeball, and 100 Pokedollars.

Personality: Reckless and unyielding, Tzilah makes her decisions one moment at a time and lets happen what will. While opposed to the likes of Team Cipher, there's no saying Tzilah won't snag something another person owns to forward her own goals now and again. She's even more stubborn than a rock, so anybody who tries to change her opinions or decisions will more than have their work cut out for them. While seemingly whimsical with her living-in-the-moment lifestyle, she's got quite a capacity for cunning and quick wits.

History: Tzilah has a minor case of amnesia, but the general gist of things hasn't been lost. She knows she came from the Johto Region and somehow knew a breeder specializing in Poison-type Pokemon. She's also pretty sure she was the head of a minor gang of ne'er-do-wells, but if that's even right, her old crew were schoolyard pranksters next to Team Cipher. Tzilah distinctly recalls that either the Poison-type breeder or one of her gang members (or was the breeder also a gang member?) went to Orre with her because they had something they needed to do here, but she has no clue what it was. Her first memory in Orre Region was waking up in a hospital bed a month after actually arriving in Orre, apparently having crashed into something. She was told her companion (who it was she still doesn't know) had already left Orre, leaving her to finish the job.

Her bike had hung in there, so she had a means of transportation, and she'd been gifted with two eggs. These later hatched into Bulk and Skull, and with two Pokemon now at her side, Tzilah's mission in Orre Region was clear. Finish the job. Step one: Find out what the job was in the first place.

And Yeah Asura. I'd prefer that you keep them limited to generation three.

Well, you can include moves from Generations two and one also. But if you think it'll help I can always take a look at Generation four's moves and include them.

Gen 4 probably was when some of the better moves were introduced. Gen 5 is the best though.

Back to the Pokemon website I go to research some more of the newer moves. xD I really need to pick up the newer games xD

But yeah, we can include Generation five moves as well. I would think it's only natural that as Pokemon grow stronger they would learn the newer moves.

Name: Blaise Blue

Starter Pokemon:

History:
Blaise and her family owned a modest delivery service in Gateon Port. However, they did deliveries all throughout the Orre Region. Blaise lived with her mother, father, and their Delibird. She often went on deliveries to Professor Krane's lab with her parents' Delibird, where she became good friends among most of the residents there. Blaise often noticed a few distant researchers at the Pokemon HQ Lab who frequently averted eyes and avoided having any conversations with her.

The delivery service her parents were conducting included transporting Pokemon for Cipher. Blaise, however, was never informed about it and instead delivered simple parcels. Her parents originally worked for Cipher but wanted to stop delivering and contributing to Cipher's plans so they informed them of quitting. Unfortunately they already knew too much, and Cipher refused their resignation.

A year ago, Blaise was sent on a local delivery alone. Upon returning, she discovered her home had been ransacked. Her parents and Delibird were nowhere to be found, and the scene sent her into a state of shock. A while later, Professor Krane had arrived and volunteered to take Blaise back to the lab with him to stay, where he informed her of her parents' situation. Recently, she began training her two Pokemon who had never really experienced battling before. Blaise was truly determined to get her family back and defeat Cipher for what they've done.

Equipment:
Motorbike, 5 empty Pokeballs, a new PDA from Professor Krane, and a delivery pouch.

Personality:
Blaise is friendly and supportive to those around her. She cares deeply for her friends, family, and Pokemon. Blaise hates to sit idle. If there are any opportunities to help, she'll take it immediately. When faced with anything relating to Cipher or the case of her missing parents and Delibird, her personality darkens. Even the thought of Cipher, and their horrid plans to rid Pokemon of all of their emotions, sickens Blaise to the point of losing her composure and becoming very aggressive. She begins to act on pure emotion without thinking things through properly in order to get what she wants.

Name:
Astro

Appearance:

Starter Pokemon:

Equipment:

  • A handheld camcorder.

  • A film clapper.

Personality:

As a film-maker, Astro possesses many of the traits essential for every creative to have. He's incredibly imaginative and wields a wealth of ideas. He has a resistance to rules and conventions, this rebellious streak is because of his need to be original. He also desires attention and recognition. Astro is exceptionally passionate about cinematography and thus the enthusiasm pours out of him.

History:

While it's true, Astro is a Film-Maker, he often withholds the full details of what he does. You see, he does indeed make films but not the standard Pokemon documentaries he'll lead you to believe. Astro is in fact part Film-Maker, part Investigative Journalist. He travels the world filming and revealing it's gritty and dark secrets. Uncovering conspiracies, infiltrating criminal organizations and general whistle-blowing.

Delving deeper into Astro's history would reveal the story of a young man whom filmed Kung-Fu movies with his Pokemon, Tyrogue and Monster movies with his Pokemon, Grimer. A life that, to him, feels like aeons ago. A life he's reluctant to divulge information about.

Name: Gurgan "Fatso" Trelbador
Appearance: Heavy-set, Big lumberjack-style beard, long untied shoulder-length red hair.
Starter Pokemon: Numel & Squirtle
Equipment: 200 pokedollars, a pokedex he got for his 21st birthday and 6 pokeballs plus a beard comb for his epic beard
Personality: Lazy; always looking for an easy way to do things. Comes off as anti-social but is really just shy. Will accept almost any challenge especially eating challenges; some call it bravery, others, stupidity. Once tried to eat a piece of hot magma that his Numel produced...and it wasn't from his hump...
History: Gurgan is 28 years old, very old to be setting off on a proper pokemon adventure. Gurgans father was a great pokemon trainer but being an only child, Gurgan enjoyed the luxuries of extreme pampering from his mother and therefore never had an "official" pokemon adventure. With the news of Cipher, who Gurgans mother believes had something to do with Gurgans fathers disappearance all those years ago, Gurgans mother made him leave home and help try and stop Cipher.
