Osprey moved back down, aware that Virus had cleared the beach threat. But the distant lights weren't good- and Wojtek could tell, that they had to be enemy boats. They would need that Hind, and badly.
"Fuck...probably not the Elisaveta then, but maybe us. Okay, Virus, get in- let me grab the wheel. I have a plan, we need to rapidly redeploy to the Oddessa, and I don't fancy our chances of driving there. We can make this easy on ourselves, I believe I have a plan" Wojtek said, as they moved down the dunes, Osprey moving in a line formation back to the boat, where Virus had began pushing it out. Czech and Thor ran forward and helped bung it right back into the water, as Wojtek ran to the side, throwing himself into the craft, and crawling to the engine, The rest boarded in, as Wojtek fired the twin engines at the back up, looking around, and hearing the distant noise of rotor blades in the distance.
"All in?" He asked, waiting for Wei to respond, before they went. Bird and Czech took up positions within the side seats of the boat, while Thor stood at the back, with Scot, weapons raised in case they needed to engage again.
When they were all in, they were reversing off the shore before turning the boat around, letting Virus grab the mounted LMG at the end of the RIB. He didn't immediately go on the gas, but used the opportunity to call in over the radio. The team had a hubub about it, but right now, Wojtek had only one priority. Get rid of the enemy water vehicles. Get out of here. Falcon, or the Mi-24W, a former Polish helicopter bought up by the company, was going to enact that for them.
"Falcon, this is Osprey Actual, do you read?"
"I read, Falcon. We've got identification of your IR strobes and times 10 contractors on a RIB....we hlso We're your escort."
"Excellent, Falcon. I need your cargo crewman to grab a sling loading tether. This is going to be strange, but we need you to get us to the Odessa in the fastest method possible. We also need assistance in destroying approximately three other boats, we estimate enemy combatants times five on each, likely with RPGs and GPMGs. Call a lase when need be." Wojtek said, as Falcon's pilot drew a course for where he saw the distant strobes, still about 2km out.
"Copy that...we could do with a laser designation, we'll hold the ATAKA-Vs for now, but you ping them, we'll send 12.7mm at them." Falcon responded, as Osprey was to work straight away. Bird took the Laser Designator from her Assault Pack, engaging it as she sat on the side of the boat, Wojtek killing the engine. The waves were strong, but they could ping the targets, ones that they could see on the horizon from here.
"First target lased."
"Sending."
The noise of a 12.7mm YAK-B cannon was earth-shattering, but a noise that brought a smile to Bird's face, as the boat was disintergrated, as Bird disingaged the lase. She changed it to the next boat, and the same occured, the distant rattle and yellow tracer beams from the distance being many in number, and enough to tear apart what they hit. The last boat was closing on the RIB, but found itself quickly torn to shreds, the designation ideal for Falcon's Weapons Officer, as rounds were inbound, and shreded it to pieces. It all seemed easy, but Wojtek knew that 12.7mm Yak-B Gatling ammunition from a helicopter gunship, with updated avionics and a thermal imaging system, could do wonders.
Falcon closed in, the Mi-24W knowing full well it was almost right overhead Osprey right. It turned to the side, and lobbed out a rope, landing a few meters in front of the boat, as Wojtek lightly eased it forwards.
"Thor, Wei, tie the boats to the rear and front respectively. I've seen sling loading go wrong. It'll do more than make you sick." Wojtek said, as Thor responded with a simple Yes Sir, grabbing the rope that now sat in the boat from the helicopter's side, attaching it around the rear hardpoints in front of the engine- with one to the port and one to the starboard of the RIB- being an area that would be able to hold the boat up through this cable, rather than simply a tie into the engine. It was in the main structure of the RIB itself- so this would more than do for what they had at the moment.
"We're clear. Rear is hooked." Thor said, as they waited for the front to be hooked. Once Wei called it, the boat began to shake deeply, as Wojtek took a seat, strapping his plate carrier's karabiner with a simple a simple clip into the driver's position, into the wheel.
"Roger that. We're dusting off, on route to the Odessa." Falcon announced, as suddenly, the boat took air. They were lifted out of the water, Wojtek being able to just about see inside the helicopter, before looking around and then down.
"This never gets fucking old..." Bird said quietly, unable to be heard by the chopper's blasting noise, as she chuckled, adjusting her backwards facing baseball cap, the blonde female of the team looking across to Virus. Bird checked her weapon, before looking to Hisakawa and Adeleida in turn from Wei, the two female operators of Virus Squad, who respectively looked as war worn as she herself was.
"Good laugh down there then?" She asked loudly, as Wojtek put his NODs up, at least, for the moment. They'd be fifteen minutes out to the Odessa from here, and could no doubt go direct. Wojtek looked to Wei, aware that it was a downtime, a breather at least, as he stayed strapped into the wheel, aware it wasn't a good idea to wonder far, especially since they were swinging underneath a helicopter. It was loud as hell, but over the radio, they could communicate, just. He'd rather use that right now, rather than risk not being heard.
"Nicely done Wei, good work. We're going to need to grab the spare ammo from this thing, and be ready for a direct assault. We've got grappling rope inside the boat for when we close in on the Odessa- we can raid it right away onto the side, and follow the rest of the men into the bridge if need be. We'll call the helicopter to drop us a klick out, so we don't make too much noise with this fucking thing." Wojtek said, as he wiped his brow below the cusp of his OpsCore helmet, the mixture of salty sea spray and sweat from the raid leaving a mark on him. But the objective was complete. And somehow, Wojtek didn't care for collateral. They had one job, and that was to kill Khanya. Perhaps that girl was injured, and while he remembered that they'd applied some basic first aid, they had to move out at the time. Things like that wasn't what he got paid for. His 100 grand came from having him dead. Scot deserved the citing. But it was on Wojtek's head.
