I thought I´d take this chance to clarify the usual power structure of the great war, ofcourse there were huge amounts of robots designed to circumvent around this formula to combat specified threats but this is how pure firepower and destruction was usually distributed among robot classes (from top to bottom according to strength, I list only pure warmachines here and human infantry for scales sake.)
Low orbit gunships
designed to erase whole cities with energy weapons, it is believed that all of these mighty constructs crashed when the device was activated.
Colossus class
There were very few at first but became more commonplace towards the wars climax, extremely heavy weaponry mainly used for sieging enemy bases and devastate armies in open field battles.
Total war models or (TWM´s)
The heavy hitters of war, usually height of an building. In middle of war when production was at its highest, nearly all open field battles for land were fought with only TWM´s causing unimaginable destruction and monetary losses.
Mobile artillery
Basically just moving cannons, extremely slow but with exceptional targeting computers and range of fire.
Aerial models
Lords of the skies. At the beginning much more conventional aircraft were used, piloted by humans or battlebots until these craft were given AI to fly themselves. Like mobile artillery, those that awaken to this new age wont stay active for long, their main function of flight consumes immense amounts of power and they lack any ability to refuel themselves, there is usually just enough for one last flight...
Heavy battlebots
Our own Daisy and the Blue Reaper would belong in this category. Size and shape vary greatly among these bots that completely replaced conventional battletanks at the start of great war, indeed first heavy battlebots were simply unmanned tanks.
Battlebots, AKA robot infantry
Due to their strength and durability, this class fought most battles in the war.
Human infantry
Squishy, fought only at two points during the war, in beginning supported by the first battlebots, and in the very end fighting for their lives and homes when EVERYTHING was thrown at the enemy in hopes of even a pyrrhic victory.
