It's more than likely- Well, it's pretty much guaranteed that cursing and dreadfully mature topics will be produced within this RP. Note it. Furthermore, this thread will be for the roleplay of nations, not the "heroes". There'll be another place for that. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/76351-the-endless-struggle/ooc#post-2383897 Ayunan Type: Spiral Thickest point: 250k light years Diameter: 600k light years Number of Stars: 150-200 trillion Number of planets: 200-400 trillion The precursors seeded this dust and rock and ice with the life made in foundries billions of years ago. Which precursors? Hardly a question anyone can answer. The remnants of the past, Old Ones formed from stardust who barely remember their birth, artifacts and ruins left behind by countless dead empires, they are all tools with which to ascend. Some empire builders were created by Old Ones. Some grew, and built interstellar nations with their own sweat and blood. In the beginning, there was Life. Life flourished, for it was wise and old. It had existed many millennia and learned the way of things. It learned what was good, and what wasn’t. It learned how to navigate its own world first, then it struck out into the void with metal boxes that pushed themselves. It crafted weapons with which to suppress its own ambition, and entertain a taste for violence. It built mountainous structures of glass and steel to defend its thinkers and workers. Life flourished. And then, when every star in the sky was accounted for, Life looked around and grew confused. It was made to expand and learn, was it not? Surely there was more to life than this single star cluster? How many other lives had been subjugated and exterminated to serve the cause of this one, insignificant Life? This star cluster was not special. It had arms, and a heart, and a black void around it, and that was all. Life thought this insufficient. They took another star cluster, because they could. Then another, and another, and another. Life never met another living thing that had as many stars as it did. It began to believe, perhaps with some arrogance, that there were no others who had so many stars as it did. Life was mistaken, naturally. Life came upon a star cluster that was more than six times the size of the home star cluster. Clearly this was a place to be valued, and conquered with much haste. It did conquer, and it built great citadels all across the star cluster. It dominated the forces of gravity and time. It was at the waning of life’s golden age that it learned how it had erred. This star cluster belonged to other, equally great lives. They were not pleased. They ate life, tore it asunder, and hunted it. They consumed countless citadels life had worked so long to construct. They had no pity for the intruder, and hunted it all the way back to its home. The Hunters did not expect, however, to find the most stalwart defenses so soon. Life and the Hunters battled for thousands of years over the home of Life, for it had an equally extraordinary amount of time to become so well defended that nothing could break its defenses in a mere millennia, or even a thousand millennias. Their war would be eternal, but it would be a far away thing that only echoed across the stars every few million years. It is nothing for you to concern yourself with, little offspring of Life and the Hunters. Species Application Species Name: Laserbeamians Human Ancestry: Y/N Racial Orientation: Lots of electronics and electricity and shit? Heavily built on psionics? Magical artificery? Biological manipulation? Homeworld Type: A barren rock, blasted by nuclear inferno, or a lush jungle? Perhaps, for some wilder races, one of the great gas giants. Physiology: Detail like you’re writing a book, because everything needs to be clear to avoid powergaming. What do they breathe? How are they built? What environments are considered inhospitable? Government Type: An empire? Democracy? Hivemind? History: Detail the last thousand years of existence. Or less, if they are an extremely young race. Be sure to highlight things like the emergence of the current leader, and how they responded to acquiring the ability to traverse the stars. Add whatever else you feel is necessary. Those sections listed above are only the required information. Since the galaxy being used is stupidly huge, one may have more than a few solar systems under their belt at the start of things. The application here is for the approval of new species and their respective civilizations. The sister application at The Endless Struggle, for beings within those species who stand above the rest as something truly redoubtable. The concept here is to manage both the progress of an interstellar species, and the progress of a person who is a lone soul among trillions in what is likely to be a hostile galaxy. That means moving between grand-scale, nation style RP and more personal, person-to-person RP. Do not just produce an app and hope it will get accepted. If I did not explicitly invite you, contact me and make sure I'm aware that you wish to join in before beginning on any sort of writing. I like to help people along during application creation, so that one doesn't have to write out everything before learning whether or not they'll be accepted. Also, feel free to ask questions.

Species Name: Litharians Human Ancestry: N Racial Orientation: Extreme emphasis on technological advancement. Interest and advancement in Psionics and Biological Manipulation. Homeworld Type: The Litharian homeworld of Havatk is a natural marvel. The planet is covered in lush jungles that can reach up to 400 feet in height and thanks to an abnormal weather system a mountainous tundra can exist right next to a thriving jungle that is teeming with life. The day cycle being 32 standard hours with an even spread of night and day, the day being lit up by the bright blue sun that Havatk orbits. Physiology: The Litharian race is reptilian in genis, having a low digigrade form of legs with a soft spike coming off of each joint, like knee and heel plates. Their feet are a form of two toed, clawed foot that has a sort of natural back appendage that acts as a heel. The torso is covered in chitin plates that form a sort of natural armor in the form of overlapping “Vs”. The arms follow the same suit of chitin plates that move to form a standard set. The hands are very human-like in the respect of how they have four fingers and a thumb with the same knuckle count, only each finger is tipped with a pointed claw. The head of this race has a scaled set of lips that are rather rigid and form a staggered mouth line. The chin forms a rather defined jaw line that wraps around to the nonexistent ears. The eyes are normally reptilian that can range from white to red to green to blue to orange to black in color scheme. The “hair” of this race is a form of horns or head spikes or tuffs that can take hundreds of different forms from fins down the back to horns that curl back around to give bull points. Litharians breathe the standard oxygenated mixture that is rather common with other interstellar species. Thanks to a hunter like culture system the Lithrain race is well adapted to activity making them well suited to fast running, tenacious fighting, and the ability to take a punch and keep on punching. The most noticeable feature of the Litharians physical aspect is their incredible endurance and advanced sense of sight. Another noticeable feat is their dense muscle structure. This doesn’t make them super strong, but a “ripped” Litharian wouldn’t look “jacked”, but more like a toned man thanks to the tight muscle fibers. Government Type: The Litharian Government is similar to a feudal structure but with definite caste influence. The governmental structure consists of a set of five leaders. The first being the Master of War, also known as the Master of the Hunt; his/her job is to organize, plan, and command the military might of the Litharians. The second is the Master of Structure, also known as the Master of the People; his/her job is to oversee, work with, and organize the civilian population of the Litharians. The third is the Master of Others, also known as the Master of Allies; his/her job is to manage, negotiate, and work with other races and species to make and manage allies. The fourth is the Master of Eyes, also known as the Master of Spies; his/her job is to make sure that any secret the enemy has is known to the rest of the masters. The fifth is the Master of Advancement, also known as the Master of Science; hi/her job is to study, research, and create new and wondrous things for the Litharian populous. This collective is known as the Council of Masters. For one to succeed a master the master must pick an apprentice from one of the members in their field of domain. From very early on the apprentice is chosen and for decades the apprentice stays at the master’s side learning everything they can before finally taking their role as the new master when the old one retires, dies, or is otherwise indisposed. Should a master be seen as unfit for service the other masters can vote to remove the master in question replacing him with a new accolade that is deemed most worthy and not the previous master’s apprentice to avoid a succession of an equally unworthy man. Under each master is a hierarchy so all the responsibility doesn’t fall on just one man. This structure exists with two Sub-masters, and under each Sub-master is five Journeymen, and then under each Journeyman are ten Apprentices. After the Apprentices a collection of sub-ranks that varies depending on the master’s position: the Master of War having Generals, Majors, Privates, etc. The Master of Structure having Senators, Overseers, Mayors, etc. History: The Litharain history is a tale of creation over adversity. The Litharians were at first a group of organized hunters, fighting, hunting, and gathering on their homeworld to simply survive and live. As the centuries pasted they advanced and made ideas into reality, making cities, and car, and planes to help make life on a hostile planet easier and more civil, but the call of the hunt would never leave. As time went on the idea of hunting became a rite of passage, a test of skill, and above all a way of life. Friends would spend days in silence talking only through body language and silent gestures, lovers leaving for months to live together courting through games of spear and rifle, or dispute being settled over who could bring back the most dangerous prize. This persisted up until the modern day where a code of honor through the hunt became law; making a society that respected and honored one another. Several centuries later the Litharians reached out to the stars and as their understanding grew, so did their knowledge, before long practical space travel became a reality and before long colonies on new worlds and interstellar travel expanded their reach. Finding only new hunting grounds and homes they continued to expand and thrive. To ensure the success of the future the Council of Masters was formed to regulate and manage the growing empire that was the Litharian people. One of the most defining moments in Litharian history was the discovery of their first intelligent race on a planet later known as Cathidet. A dangerous and hostile world where everything seemed to have been evolved to kill, maim, and consume. Amid the carnage they found the Karadon race and though relations didn’t start on good ground, they saw past their differences and became allies, taking the Karadons to the stars and over the next few centuries became closer allies and friends that the only word that could be used is family. The two races basically became one and together they began advancing to the technological juggernaut they now are. For the Karadons, the Litharians found that their genetic structure was a marvel of nature and began giving them natural abilities that would make the race all the more evolved and powerful. For the Litharians, technology was a road that would give them the power that nature denied them. Advanced materials gave them safety, the discovery and weaponization of plasma gave them strength, and the knowledge of the universe gave them abilities unlike any seen before. Cloaking for the hunters, warp travel for the colonists, and for the people, new medicines and chances that Havatk could never provide. It was then that the Litharians began their focus down the technological route, focusing on harnessing the wonders of plasma and the synthesizing of new stronger materials. As the years passed and the secrets came to fruition, plasma became a necessity for the Litharian race, fueling their ships, powering their weapons, and providing light in their homes. With power then came discovery, new materials created from the old ones gave the Litharians lighter, stronger, better materials to make armor, ships, and new types of homes able to withstand the dangers other planets would have in store. It was only in the past few centuries that other intelligent and spacefaring races were discovered, some peaceful allies, others formidable foes. War and peace became a persisting event that only spurred further advancement, making better weapons, better armors, and new ways of warfare that were never know before. Psionics, a frightening new threat found in other space faring races dawned and created a new field of learning. As time passed, so did understanding now the Litharian populous knows of the strength in the mind, learning new ways to shape the galaxy with mere thoughts. Today the Litharian race has a solid place in the galaxy still striving to find new allies, hunt new prey, and become a power that teaches honor to all who exist. The current hierarchy consists of Master of War Karasis, who came to succession when his master retired. Master of Structure Jutaric, who came into power when her master retired. Master of Others Hitharis, who came into place when his master passed away of natural causes. The Master of Eyes Xilanthis, who came into power when the pervious Master of Eyes was removed after being convicted of treason. The Master of Advancement Nithurk, who came into his place of knowledge after his master was killed in a lab experiment. Species Name: Karadon Human Ancestry: N Racial Orientation: Biological Manipulation and Breeding Homeworld Type: Cathidet, a huge barren world made of deserts and mountains. The day cycle of Cathidet is 56 Standard hours, but thanks to the three blazing suns 48 of those hours are lit up with scorching sunlight, making patches of shade a rare occurrence. Only in the crooks of mountains can plant life go, making most of it’s inhabitants carnivorous killers. The world is a well-known death world, recommended to be avoided at all costs. Physiology: If ever there was a warrior race, this would be it. The Karadon race is a bipedal, humanoid bunch with thick scaled skin, similar to a few kinds of dinosaurs or komodo dragons. The skin being quite resilient to forms of impact. Two digigrade legs and standard arms, with three toed clawed feet and five fingered clawed hands. Four eyes, usually a primary color and slitted and a wide mouth built for carnivorous eating. Their heads are covered in scales and can have a variety of horn patterns ranging from a collection of spikes, much like a porcupines back to devil horns that can extend a few feet. They have tails that are just thick, beefy muscle ended with a bony mass to act as a club, usually about seven feet long in total. The race themselves have no distinguishable features between male and female other than females tend to have wider, more flat tails with a smaller bone mass at the end. Karadons average between 10-12 feet in height and are stacked with dense muscle. Their brains are somewhat underdeveloped and more primal compared to other intelligent races, but they still possess the ability of speech, tool construction, and tactical sense. Karadons breathe a standard oxygenated mix common with interstellar species, but having grown up on a dusty and desert based planet, their lungs have a sort of natural filter. It doesn’t do much for fine chemicals and pathogens, but it helps them to operate at peak efficiency in swirling dust and sand storms. Karadons are a very versatile race genetically, able to have their genetic structure modified and easily change to make new forms of Karadons. With the assistance of the Litharians, the Karadons have been modified and introduced to other genetic materials to change them physically. This would add spikes to the backs and arms of some, or increase the size of others to 20+ feet. In the more internal side, certain modifications allow some Karadon’s the ability to breathe underwater or breathe a flammable gas that can be lit with “sparkers” in their mouths. Usually these modifications are not compatible so a fire breathing Karadon most likely can’t breathe underwater. Government Type: Karadon’s don’t have a government system of their own. It is more of a tribal structure with castes and sects banding together to survive and hunt with no real hierarchy or leadership. True, an Alpha usually takes a leader position of a pack, but his authority is only for that pack. When the Litharians came and integrated with them, the Karadons found many places within Litharian culture. Whether as soldiers, bodyguards, pack-men, or even family members to some. History: The history of the Karadons is nothing to intricate; through several millennium they have survived and evolved on their homeworld fighting against the dangers that infest it. It wasn’t until the Litharian race discovered Cathidet and upon reaching its surface that the Karadons began to advance at a rapid rate. Joining the Litharians on their ships and utilizing their technology did they find a place among the galaxy. In the few hundred years that they have been integrating themselves with another race so different from their own, a sort of symbiotic relationship has formed, making Karadons and Litharians are frightful force. There are my race write ups. If you want to make some comments or corrections let me know.

Species Application Species Name: Wolkar Human Ancestry: N Racial Orientation: Cunning and voracious fighters with a great curiosity for new technology and discovery. Heavy tech focus fighting with group strategy and tactics. Home world Type: A lush forest planet with sky cities hovering overhead. The Wolkar designed intricate systems to distribute light to the forests below to simulate the day cycle despite the planet’s constructed hi-tech shell. Primarily civilians only go down when they are certified to show they can survive on their own in case of emergency due to the vicious predators down below. Despite the few civilians that go down, it is used often by the military and guard units for training. Physiology: The Wolkar are best described as wolf men capable of traveling on both to legs or moving on all fours for heightened mobility. Their musculature ranges from light and quick to hulking berserkers, varying mainly thanks to variances concerning where they choose to apply themselves within the pack. Those who are more tech oriented have smaller frames and builds to better fit within repair conduits and tend to have fur colors that match more with the metal grating they find themselves in. Their fingers are also much more nimble to handle the smaller tools needed for their jobs, dexterity gained by working with small circuits over time. The packs that are more warrior based will be much larger in build with stronger limbs for fighting, even their claws gaining length and a keener edge for that added combat advantage. Typically the claws would only be used when challenging another for dominance if done in the more traditional style of challenge or as impromptu tools for carving out arrows and spears should they find themselves running low on supplies and need to create improvised weapons. The more modern tech has removed the need to use these claws as weapons to the point that it is almost taboo to use them for most combat situations. Though some fur colors are more easily found in certain packs most colors can be found within the collective. The ears of the Wolkar are typically canine with tufts of fur inside to act as a barrier for extremely high pitched noise. Typically these ears can move on their own, coming farther up to hear more clearly or press close to the head and tight over the fur tufts to muffle ear piercing sounds like the roar of a ship’s engine. Wolkar can see easily in the dark, their eyes easily adjusting to various levels of light. However, quick changes from one extreme to another, such as going from jet black night to a piercing white light of a flashbang grenade, can strongly disorient them and leave them recovering for several minutes without eye gear to lessen the effect. Sense of smell has over the years been muted down over the years due to the recent rush of exposure to starship fumes and other pollutants, being somewhere below tracking dogs and a standard human in terms of smell sensitivity. The few packs who have their warriors spend most of their time in the forests below the sky-cities can however train their sense of smell to return to their original sharpness. Government Type: Pack-type hierarchy. Similar to wolf packs, the Wolkar believe in strong leadership and right of challenge by combat. The Alpha is the overall leader of the pack with a Beta and Omega below him. In order to become the Alpha, one has to first defeat the Omega and keep his position for one month before he can then challenge the Beta. Once he becomes the Beta he must wait a year before he can challenge the Alpha. This is only within the pack and there is a collective known as the Alpha Council. The head of the council is known as the Sirius, the only one the other Alpha’s follow and obey. This tiered challenge system ensures strong leadership while also ensuring that power is not constantly changing hands. Even after an Alpha is defeated he is then made into the Beta so they can guide the new Alpha in their duties. Despite the competitive nature needed in such a society, it is well recognized that you only call a challenge when there is no immediate danger or when it will not cause chaos in a time of trouble. In times of war a challenge would only be issued if the majority believed the current Sirius was incapable or negligent. The Wolkar are surprisingly a close knit community, acting as a massive family while even accepting outsiders into their pack so long as they pass the proper tests and trials to prove their resolve to join the pack. History: Originally a tribal culture, they were primarily hunters and farmers for centuries. They were at the stage of going from using skilled artisans to industrialization when a freighter ship crash landed on their planet, causing first contact to be established with the rest of the galaxy and allowing the Wolkar their first grasp of true technology. It had been such a large leap from where they were that many had delved headlong into studying, and soon mastering, these new devices. In short order the Wolkar went from catching up to the advances in technology to becoming pioneers in the fields, using their cunning and analyzing gained hunting the predators of the wilds to figuring out new advances and applications of technology. Today they have made floating sky-cities which cover almost the entirety of the forest below, using advanced systems to deliver sunlight and rain water to maintain the ecosystem. They have also made themselves well renowned for their mercenaries and bounty hunters, becoming a base of the galactic mercenary guild in exchange for access to the advanced battle armors and weapons the Wolkar have created under the condition they not be sold to the other nations behind their backs. While the Wolkar have been happy to sell their technology used for agriculture or medicine, trading military equipment is highly regulated and dealt with most harshly if any smuggler is found trying to smuggle Wolkar tech off of the planet. Their overall specialization lies in their advanced power armor and cybernetics augmentation. While they only use robotic limb weapons in the case of wounded veterans on active duty, they do have most Wolkar set up with a cybernetic connector port at the back of the neck, serving to connect them directly to technology. Whether it be citizens connecting directly to the galactic net or soldiers wiring their brains to work their armor weapons with a thought, this connection gives the Wolkar unrivaled control over technology. They have even created strength assist technology that works in tandem with their body’s motions, acting as added muscle that works in sync with the user’s actual body. These advancements were later pushed to the next level when they discovered a new mineral ore which they later called Beskad, becoming many times more durable than what had previously been the galaxy’s strongest malleable metal that can be found naturally. To this day all Wolkar ships are plated with this rare metal, used only when durability was the absolute top priority in the construction of anything that could use metal. While even Wolkar children are capable of creating basic robotics, there is a university dedicated to creating new machines. There is already a host of high grade war mechs and tanks, not limited to the newest weapon in the Wolkar arsenal: The FERALS. These armored mechs can be heavily modified to suit different roles in battle from heavy missile support, to artillery, to high speed close combat specialist vehicles. They are designed to only be operable through a Wolkar neural connector and sport a wide arsenal. They are all equipped with flight boosters, quick boosters for evasion, as well as a energy armor system which, with the right tinkering and modification, can be expended to create a shockwave of devastating energy. In addition, each part is highly customizable, even capable of exchanging the standard two leg design for a tank leg unit or even four legs for stability. A FERAL can hold several weapons. Typically it has one for each hand, and two back units. While most FERALs found in the field will carry missiles, standard energy rifles, and a grenade launcher, most of the more notable and specialized FERAL pilots equip their units with an energy blade to cut through heavy armor. The back units can carry EX boosters to boost maneuverability, carry missiles, or even energy and rail cannons for doling out a long ranged barrage. While the NORMALs are used for the standard soldier and are only about 16 feet tall and lack the mobility and armor of their companions, the NEXTs used by the more elite pilots are 32 feet tall and are much more powerful.

Just to explain Litharain time the date 5732-189 means it's year 5732 day 189. One year in Litharain is 350 days (Just to make things easy). This doesn't mean I making all time like this, but that Litharains use this method to keep track of time.

Just to add more of an explaination for time frames in Litharian time. When I say, Litharian Galactic Date 5371-334. That means when I started an action. So in my last post we started at date 5371-233 and then a few days ticked by from there to cover the actions. So the HAMMER took of probably at 5371-236. The search teams probably came about around 5371-235, maybe 5371-236. It's a tad strange, but I'm working on making things work all pretty like.
