Looking for someone to RP with

I currently have no RP's going at the moment and would like to have one or two. I'm up for just about anything except anime. I am a 31 year old man. I am also a Navy veteran, I have a wide variety of taste when it comes to RP's and I'm open to almost anything. I do not smut just for the heck of it I like a good story. I do not enjoy needless gore, and I do not like anime. I prefer real people in real situations. I do have a sense of humor and I do also enjoy some romance. So bring on your suggestions and I will post a few of my own below. Chase McGowan pulled up to the bar in his old, blue Ford pickup truck. He was playing solo at the Whitehorse Saloon. It was early Friday afternoon and he would be playing with the house band. Their lead singer had gotten sick and lost his voice, so Chase was asked to fill in for him. The band played alot of different country songs as well as mixing in some classic rock like the Eagles, and some new stuff like Kryptonite, by Three Doors Down. As he got out of the truck he walked inside and introduced himself to the drummer and bass player. He unpacked his cherry red Gibson SG and tuned it before running through a few songs with the band After getting warmed up he grabbed a beer at the bar, and drank it slowly. At 7 PM sharp he and the band opened up with Trouble by Travis Tritt followed by I'm gonna Be Someday. The words to I'm Gonna Be Someday, always spoke to him. They were about a young boy from a small town who chased his dream and made it big despite everyone around saying he couldn't. That song was basically his life's story. Growing up he had moved around alot because his father was military. When he was 16 his father was stationed in North Alabama and switched to the National Guard. His father left on a mission and didn't return alive. He was 16 stuck in a small town with no friends and without his father. He spent alot of time alone with his radio and guitar as his only friends. His stepmother tried to console him but he just shut her out of his life. His mother had passed away during child birth, because of a freak accident. Chase went to school because he had to, talked only when he had to and never made friends. He graduated at 18 and moved immediately to Nashville with a backpack and his guitar and never looked back. After years of bullying because of his quiet, shyness, music was truly his escape. After years of playing clubs and bars, he had finally been hired by RCA Records to become a backup singer and studio musician. One more step on the ladder to becoming an independent musician. He could pick and choose which gigs he wanted to play now but always tried to help those out who had helped him in the beginning. Which was why on this Friday night he was playing at the Whitehorse saloon.

"Welcome to Peterborough, NH A Good Town to Live In" Jake read through his thickly tinted sunglasses as the taxi drove into town. It was quit a ways for a taxi to drive from the airport but since Uncle Sam was paying for it he didn't care. It had been three years since he'd been here last on leave when his mother passed away. She had been dying of cancer, and had been on Hospice Care for over a year. Jake and his father were at his mother's bedside as she took her last breath, it was the first time he'd seen his father cry. The second time was when father saw him for the first time after the IED blew up his Humvee. He had been flown from Afghanistan to Ramstein, Germany where he was stabilized and then flown to Walter Reed. He had been awarded the Purple Heart in flight from Afghanistan to Ramstein. The bomb went off while he was driving, it was hidden in the center of his side of the road, the explosion basically melted a large portion of the right side of his face. The concussion blew him upwards and knocked his head into the ceiling. As the truck basically exploded and rolled he was ejected due to the melted seat belt and his right leg was broken as well as burned. A year later he was still learning to walk with the titanium rods in his legs, but no amount of plastic surgery would fix the burned side of his face. He still had issues with bright sunlight and loud noises but he adjusted to that by wearing noise cancelling headphones and very dark sunglasses. Because Petersborough was near the mountains and stayed cool he could get away with wearing a hoodie most of the time to hide his face. After the taxi pulled up into his Father's driveway, he paid the driver and got out of the car. Standing on his crutches he watched his father walk out and pick up his rucksack. Feeling helpless was the worst of this situation Jake thought to himself. He hobbled on his crutches to the basement door which used to be a garage but was now his apartment. His grandmother had lived with his parents until she passed away, and now the basement was his. As he stepped in he saw that it had been repainted but other than it was pretty much the same. It had a small living room and kitchen and then a small bedroom off to the side. He watched his father lay the bag on his bed. "Thanks for the help dad." "Anytime son, I ordered pizza for supper, and I have some beers in the fridge, I checked with your doctor and he said a few beers would be ok with your medication, I also setup your appointment for your new therapist. The Doc said she may be by this afternoon or tomorrow. I'll be upstairs but if you need anything just holler." Jake thanked his dad and watched him go upstairs, He sat on his couch as the song "I Dreamed a Dream" began to play. There were several artists who had recorded it but he liked Idina Menzel's version the best. He couldn't help but think of how fitting the line was "Life has killed the dream I dreamed." His life was a wreck and it was basically surviving from One Day to the next. He just sat there looking out the window and hit the repeat button on his MP3 player. He wasn't even 25 yet and was disabled, a cripple he thought to himself. I wanted to go into Law Enforcement like my father and grandfather but now there is no way I cant do it. As a Master at Arms or MA in the military he handled weapons and ammunition on a daily basis, about the only line of work he could get was maybe at an indoor shooting range teaching old ladies to shoot revolvers but then again with my scarred up face they probably wouldn't want to be seen with me anyway. Jake reached down and picked up the local newspaper, today's headline "Local Hero Wins Purple Heart and Returns Home." There was Jake's picture from boot camp, in his uniform with the military stare, and a future ahead of him and yet now it was nothing. Angrily he threw the newspaper across the room and drank another beer. The rain falling outside his window was the perfect conclusion to this depressing homecoming.

Mike Bannon stood on the bow of the Destroyer as it pulled slowly into port in good ole Norfolk, Virginia. The breeze was nice and it felt great out on deck. The sun was shining and it was a balmy 75 degrees outside. The bright sun reflected off of the white uniforms of the sailors as they rushed around deck preparing to enter their home port for the first time in nine months. Mike had already packed his sea bag and printed his plane itinerary, he was planning on flying back home to see his girlfriend. They had started dating his junior year of high school; she knew of course that he had wanted to join the Navy. She supported him through his deployments and time away, to use an old cliche she was his anchor. They'd been dating now nearly six years and Mike was ready to take their relationship a step further. They'd talked through emails and letters during the long deployments and had often talked of settling down in a small town and starting a family. Mike so sure that she was the one that when his ship pulled into Bahrain he had a jeweler custom make an engagement ring for her. The ring had a ruby shaped heart in the middle surrounded by small emeralds around the outside. The gold wedding band when put together rimmed the right side of the heart with small diamonds. The ring was packed away in his bags along with a bottle of wine he bought in France when they had ported there for a few days. He pulled the picture of his girlfriend out of his pocket once more and glanced at it, she was wearing the red dress she wore when she visited last fall and they went to the Navy Ball together. That was right before he left for deployment, and one of the last times he saw her. Tucking the picture away he secretly hoped that she would meet him at the pier. He knew she probably wouldn't be there, with her work schedule, but there was still hope. Mike stood at his 50 cal gun mount watching the land and pier grow larger on the horizon. He could hear the communication between the bridge and other gunner's mates as they pulled slowly up to the pier. As the lines were cast from the ship, the sailors on the pier attached them to the bollards and the tug slowly backed away. Mike watched the crowd for a moment pressing against the iron bars of the gate, and waving at the sailors moving about on the deck. The crowd was dotted in red, white and blue balloons and lots of welcome home signs. Taking a deep breath, he did what he always did when the secure command came over his comms radio. He removed the ammo can from the 50 cal, and removed the weapon from the tripod. He carried the gun upright easily in one hand as he walked into the ship. Once his weapon was returned to the armory he ran to his berthing area and grabbed his sea bag. By the time he reached the deck, all of the new dads had already left the ship and the ship's enlisted crew were walking off slowly. He got in line and patiently waited to get down the stairs. As his foot touched the ground he excitedly began walking up the pier, hoping that she was there. His uniform waved loosely on his frame as he walked up the pier, he spent the majority of his time deployed in the gym working out since there was nothing else to do on the ship. He passed through the crowds slowly scanning hoping that maybe, just maybe she was here.

Having quarters just below it made it difficult to sleep but when he did go to sleep it was usually after flying missions all day. On this night he stared at a Craig's List advertisement he was posting. He was embarrassed about doing it but yet excited at the prospects of meeting someone new. His carrier would pull into Norfolk, in a few days and his flight detachment would go back to there home base in Virginia Beach. While it was exciting to be back in the states Jason knew he'd be lonely. All of his family lived in Alabama and they were getting ready for his younger brother's wedding. His brother Jake was marrying his high school sweetheart before he left for boot camp. That was the problem his family and friends always thought he'd be the first to get married and settle down but the truth was Jason just hadn't met the right girl yet. So to try to appease them he planned on bringing a date to meet the family. Once the ship pulled in he would be given 2 weeks of vacation, which he planned on spending with his family. He typed out the rest of the ad and read through it quickly. *I need a Date* My name is Jason Bannon, I'm in the Navy stationed in Norfolk, Virginia. My brother is getting married next week and I'm taking leave to go back to Alabama for two weeks for the wedding. I'm single but all my friends and family expect me to have a date for the wedding. I will be coming back from a six month deployment with my air detachment on Friday. I won't have anyone to greet me the day my ship pulls because my family is preparing a wedding. I am a 28 year old man I fly F/A- 18 Hornets (Same model jet as the Blue Angels) but I've not had time to even find a date since I just got back and I need some help. I have enclosed a picture and I hope to hear from someone soon. They still share some of the same mutual friends but always wonder about the "One that Got Away" If You See Him, If You See her -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *One Second After* A nuclear missile is launched from a cargo vessel in the Gulf of Mexico and detonated miles above the surface in the Mid-West.

Jason Leavitt was a Highway Patrol Officer. Thirty one years of age he had just gotten out of the Marines. He was single with no prospects and not actively seeking. His motto was if the military wanted me to have a wife they would have issued me one. Upon his discharge he had completed his training as an officer. Living near the mountains in South Carolina had its advantages. Work was usually quiet and on the weekends he went backpacking. Due to the military training over the years he had become quite adept at living on MRE's in the field. In fact he was planning on doing some hiking again this weekend and had his pack in his car. Parked in the median Jason was listening to Talk radio where they were discussing the latest on Russia's invasion when all of a sudden the radio quit. Jason turned and looked and all of his electronic equipment was off also. He tried to start the car but nothing happened when he turned the key. He popped the hood and stepped out of the car when he realized all of the cars on the interstate had stopped also. It only took a few minutes to add it all up. EMP, Damn Russians, we used to say the bear wasn't dead he was only sleeping and now it proved correct. Jason's military training kicked in immediately, he opened his trunk grabbed his hiking pack and immediately changed out of his uniform, he knew it would only be a matter of time before anyone who hated cops would realize this was WROL (Without Rule of Law) situation. He threw on his tan cargo pants and a plain tan tshirt and put on his green hiking pack. He threw his handcuffs and badge in his pack and zipped it securely. In the front pouch he stashed the extra ammo and Kevlar vest that he was required to keep in the car. Strapping his service pistol back on he quickly disassembled the shotgun and put into his pack also. With his gear situated he locked the car doors and began the hike to his cabin. he had roughly 20 miles to his exit then 15 miles of back road to walk to get there. He quickly distanced himself from the squad car not wanting to be associated with it. Along the way he recommended to several passers by that they needed to get whatever they could use from their car and start walking. He had hiked for about 10 miles without incident when he heard gunshots. Ducking low and moving forward from car to car Jason slowly took in the scene. Apparently a prison transport bus had stopped in the middle of the highway. The prisoners had overpowered the guards and while it looked like a few of the convicts had fled the scene there were still five or six hanging around the bus. They were robbing and killing the men and throwing women on the bus. Jason watched horrified as they stripped a women down and then groped and pawed her like an animal before throwing her in the bus as well. Only God knows what they're doing to those poor souls he thought. Jason watched carefully from his hidden position, There were five of them but they only had 2 shotguns. His pistol had a longer range but he'd have to shoot quit if he were to surprise them. Drawing his pistol he checked the magazine, 15 rounds. The feel of the cold steel of the Beretta pistol grip felt comfortable in his hand. He had used the weapon in several deployments and had even earned his pistol expert ribbon in the Marines with it. He kept maneuvering slowly until he was behind the bus. the 2 convicts with the shotgun were guarding the bus entrance on the left side. Slowly he reached up and opened the rear exit door, and jumped in immediately. There was a man straddling a women who was crying. Jason Yanked the man's head back and slammed the pistol butt straight down between his eyes crushing his skull in a sickening thud. He threw the man out of the back of the bus. Hearing a noise the first man with the shotgun boarded the bus and was greeted immediately by the burst of 9mm rounds. Jason was rewarded immediately with a spray of blood as one of his rounds entered the man's face. Alerted now the second man boarded the bus carefully. Jason ducked down beneath the seats and slid forward slowly underneath them. The convict began shooting the seat backs as he walked towards the back of the bus, thinking that Jason would be up behind one of them. Puling his legs in tight and lying prone underneath the set, Jason felt the seat shake as the backrest was blown out of the bus. As the man stepped forward Jason kicked at his legs with all of his strength and tripped him up, before the man could react Jason pulled the trigger as fast as he could giving the man a serious case of lead poisoning. Jason inserted a new magazine into his pistol before coming out from under the seats, he then picked up the shotgun and threw the strap over his shoulder. The first man was bleeding by the door and his shotgun was still laying there. Slowly walking forward Jason picked up that shotgun and threw it over his shoulder as well, before exiting the bus. The thing about bully's his father said once, is that they are like cockroaches when the lights come on, stand up to one and they scatter. Luckily for Jason this proved true as the other convicts scattered. He walked back to check on the woman but she had run off. Sadly Jason turned back towards his exit and began walking, doing his best to distance himself from the scene of the carnage.

He was a big fan of Dungeons and Dragons, Wheel of Time, and other Fantasy novels. He'd even taken a vacation to New Zealand just to see where Lord of the Rings was filmed. Benjamin caught his lucky break when he wrote an app for his smartphone. It was a custom integration software that combined social networking accounts and email into one basic app. It was just a small piece of coding but it was purchased by Apple and then upgraded and released on the latest IPhone. Benjamin was an overnight millionaire. All of a sudden he was receiving catalogs and invitations to all sorts of events. He received a catalog that dealt in rare specialty items. In the middle of the catalog was an advertisement advertising a Magic Kingdom for sale. Instantly Ben was intrigued. After completing the initial interviews for the sale he purchased the Kingdom. He was given a specific set of instructions. Go to the State Forest on County Road 9. Follow the trail at dusk until you see the fog. Once you see the Fog Bank leave everything from this world behind except your clothes and walk forward do not stop until daylight. Ben did as instructed and walked in a pair of blue jeans a Journey tshirt, and Nike tennis shoes. He heard strange noises in the fog and walked until daylight. As he stepped out of the fog the first thing he noticed was the two suns, one red, one yellow. From the shadows stepped a tall figure in long robes, the figure bowed gracefully with fist clenched over it's heart and said,"Welcome High Lord, King of All." (I am looking for a female to be the romantic lead. The only requirement is she has to be something magical and out of the ordinary like a tree slyph or dryad or something to that effect. There was one woman, she was stunningly beautiful but she was a voodoo witch that lived on the bayou. James and the witch despised each other at first, but eventually fell in love. Unfortunately she witnessed James' death on the battlefield shortly after. She used every bit of magic skill she had and was able to reincarnate him and her. Are they destined to die over and over, or will love truly conquer all. Truth or Dare male x female This couple grew up together and knew each other most of their lives. They made a promise not to drink until they were both 21, they'd both seen the stupid crap their friends did drunk so they decided to wait. Their Birthdays are just a few days apart, and in celebration he has decided to throw a party just for the two of you. Over the course of the evening after getting drunk you both begin a game of truth or dare together. When finally emboldened with liquid courage Dirk reveals his true feelings for you. Will you remain best friends or will you become something more?
