One ON One Role-Play partner wanted.

Things I do not like

I don't like responding to one small paragraph, so please write either a few small paragraphs or a couple large ones. I tend to respond based on what my partner has given me to react to. It makes it very difficult for me to craft a good plot if there isn't much to work with.

I don't like posts that consist mostly of your character getting up in the morning, showering, making breakfast yada yada yada. It's find to do these things as long as that isn't the only thing you are doing. I've found that people tend to throw that stuff in there to fill the paragraph requirement. I don't like it when writing falls into that pattern. It's redundant and gets boring very quickly.

I don't like rushed posts. What I mean is that it's something thrown together in a couple minutes, poorly written and riddled with spelling mistakes. If I have a hard time understanding what is being written, I'll probably talk to you about it.

I'm also open to doing doubles if that makes you more comfortable.

I often do Fantasy Role-Plays because something supernatural always seems to liven up the Role-Play.
I prefer to have action in the Role-Play, without it I get bored.
I prefer to Role-Play as a female and do a better job doing so, but I can also play as a male.

Writing amount: On average 2-3 large paragraphs or more depending on how interested I am in the plot.

As far as setting, I don't mind what it is as long as you explain the rules I believe I can do it.

From Spell-Weaver Wizard Fantasy Rp

Clara glanced sideways at the figure who now stood by her side. She saw the odd warm weather clothes he had sported, but quickly saw the runes. It made sense now why he didn't seem uncomfortable. Her eyebrows raised slightly. So this was the famed wizard of the southern isles. His name and his tales even reached her ears up in the northern wilderness that she called home. Then again, a wizard of such ability was bound to have tales and rumors spread throughout the land.

After more people arrived and settled into the crowd, the king stood. The room fell silent, "Welcome spell-weavers!", his voice rang throughout the hall. "I see some have come from a far off to aid our kingdom in it's time of need and for that, I'm eternally grateful." He smiled and gave a small bow. "In case you are wondering, the rumors of the southern temple are true. Very recently, we have lost all contact with them due to the appearance of some sort of barrier or dome that seems to have entrapped those within it's boundaries. I've sent my armies and no common tool or weapon can penetrate it's walls. It is beyond my abilities to help the southern temple." The room began to hum with murmurings. This barrier must be powerful to withstand something as powerful as the kings forceful assault. Nothing physical can penetrate it? Was it like hitting stone or some other substance when struck? When the king rose his hands for quiet, the magi fell silent once again. "My kingdom beseeches you! You, who have harnessed the power and wisdom of magic! He or she who is able to free the temple will, along with our eternal gratitude, be granted the position of royal court magistrate as well as the title of grand wizard of Lorelei!", after that being said the great hall filled with roars of confidence from the witches and wizards eager to prove their might.

The journey from the city of Lorelei to the northern temple border took either weeks or days depending on how they traveled. Some went on foot, others on horseback or carriage. Some even used their abilities to transport themselves to the southern temple, but Clara wanted to conserve her strength for the fear of breaching the barrier. She did not like the warm southern weather, it was sticky and the air was thick and soupy. Clara was more accustomed to the cold bitter climates of the north. She sighed feeling sweat on her brow as her and many others who had formed caravans had finally began to draw near to the barrier. Her eyes widened with a mixture of excitement and awe. What she saw, was what seemed to be a electric blue bubble reaching high into the heavens on the horizon. It grew bigger and bigger as they got closer. Cries of wonder and fear spread throughout the caravans, but it only encouraged Clara to eagerly push onward.

They continued on to the point where they were a couple hundred feet from the great opaque wall that separated them from the area known as the southern temple. Clara, now dressed for the warmer climate, had dismounted her horse to get a better look at the barrier without fear of her beast getting spooked. The bright blue wall seemed to pulsate with wild energy. It was so alien to many of the mages, that several of them simply stared at it. It wasn't long before they started murmuring amongst themselves about ways to approach it. These discussions soon grew into heated arguments until someone had finally had enough of it, and threw a ball of flame at the dome only for it to be absorbed into it. More and more elemental wizards and witches threw spells at it with no progress. Clara simply watched with hungry eyes to see if any of their efforts would make a difference. She was fully content with them wasting their energy.

New Zelda Plots!

Zelda Ocarina of time-

The hero of time has just been sent out to Hyrule town. During this time he makes friends with a young girl. The girl was a run away and only trusted him, but that trust was broken when he was put into a deep slumber for seven years. Now bitter and manipulated by Gannon, she is one of the most fierce warriors in Gannon's arsenal.
((You can either play as Link or an original character that happens to be the hero of time. Not Link exactly. I'll be playing either as a run away Malon or a Original character your call. ^___^ ))

Zelda Magora's Mask-

The hero of time is sent into another world in search of a long lost friend. Once he finds himself in Clock Town, he notices that a lot of the people there look like the people he left behind in Hyrule including the love he once had until she disappeared shortly after defeating Gannon. Will he fall for this version or continue his search?

There is a girl who has a pet frog that can speak. She has had that frog since she was a little girl and is good friends with him. Sadly, her parents decided to send her off to a boarding school of sorts and pets are not allowed. She is forced to leave her dear friend behind. This leaves the poor frog heartbroken along with the girl. She promises to come visit during the holidays and kisses him goodbye on the head before leaving. In the short minutes after the girl has left, the frog transforms into a handsome young man. Now in a new body, he decides to follow his friend and attend her school, but is afraid to tell her who he really is.
(This is a sort of Princes and the Toad story I guess.)

(Fantasy/Action Rp. Time Modern)
It has been little over a hundred years since the so-called ‘extinction’ of dragons. Actually, instead of dying off, they learned to take the shape of human and hide among them. There has been one slight problem though. Lately females have been giving birth to children that look human. They do not change into their dragon forms until they reach a certain age in human life. Writing pet peeves

I hate it when people write one or two sentences then hit enter twice and write more. They usually do this to make their post look larger than it really is and it's super annoying. I don't mind if you do this for long streams of dialogue, but please be responsible with it.

Do you proof-read your post before posting it? Like run it through a word document or have a browser that shows spelling errors? I also mean proofreading to make sure everything sounds like it makes sense.

Example:

"Know, I dont no what your talkin abot." He scowld sitting back in hi chair.

Also, I like discussing a lot of things in OCC chat about plot and the direction of things. I don't like it when people assume things and throw a huge wrench into the plot without telling me. I'd rather discuss things than risk having to ask you to re-write stuff because it doesn't make sense or doesn't work with the plot.

Things that don't make sense for the genre and setting really annoy me. Especially if you throw it in a huge post that you've spent a lot of time and hard work on. I hate to be the one to tell you to re-write something because it doesn't work with the plot. I don't mind discussing stuff beforehand to see if we can find a way to make it work, but it has to fit the plot settings.

I don't like slice of life pattern writing. It's really boring when someone is constantly writing about getting up, making breakfast, doing something, eating lunch, do something else, eating dinner, and going to sleep. I don't mind if there is a good reason for your character to be doing stuff like this. Like a task that they are doing that leads into a deep thought process to better explain the character or if they are doing something that will lead them to interact with another character.

I also really like to have someone write about their character with personality. Just writing about them talking, then moving, and that's it isn't very interesting. I want to see what your character is thinking about.

Another big pet peeve is when writers make their characters overpowered and write all our character's problems away. Say my character broke her leg with the bone sticking out, they would write that their character just so happens to know how to give someone perfect medical attention, instantly has a medical kit and fixes her leg within a matter of minutes. I hate it when people poof plot obstacles away like that.

Someone brought up a question about mature content and here is the best way I know to explain my threshold for mature content.

I don't like too much strong language. I don't like too much gore. I don't like too much sexual content.

Too much cussing (Example: F___ you little F___ F__ F__), too much gore (Example: The monster pressed his giant thumb against the back of the woman's head and it popped off her body like a cork from a bottle of champagne. Then the monster, using the points of his nails, pulled her spine out like it was an illusive worm and wiggled it with amusement), too much sexual content or turning the plot to smut (Example: Sex 3 times a day or every day. Example 2: Everything arouses a character. Example 3: Character talks about doing sexual things all the time or thinks about it all the time.)

I'm looking to write a good plot. Mature content can make things interesting but if it takes away from the plot, then I don't want it at all. I try to do mostly action/adventure plots which means that sexual content might happen but not if the plot doesn't swing in that direction. What is more likely to happen is gore and cursing though.
I don't mind cursing in moderation. I don't mind to f-bomb, but I don't want it used like the example I showed.

Question: How do you feel about mature content? I'm not just talking about sex either, I also wants to know how you feel about language, gore, for potentially disturbing sequences. Not that these are things that I am looking for, I just was curious. Either way I'll probably be interested in RPing with you.
