Name: Kaya (Kai-ah) Grant Age: 17 Power/ Limitations: Alchemy

Alchemy

The ancient metaphysical science/mystical art of manipulating and altering matter by using natural energy. This act is known as "Transmutation" and its sequence is usually described as: 1. Comprehension - Understanding the inherent structure and properties of the atomic or molecular makeup of a particular material to be transmuted, including the flow and balance of potential and kinetic energy within. 2. Deconstruction - Using energy to break down the physical structure of the identified material into a more malleable state so as to be easily reshaped into a new form. 3. Reconstruction - Continuing the flow of energy so as to reform the material into a new shape. The proper application of this craft requires not only a full understanding of chemistry and ancient alchemical theory, but also a sort of natural talent towards recognizing and manipulating the physical objects with energy, which require uncommon levels of intelligence and aptitude. It is a science and as such is subject to certain laws and limitations, all of which fall under the concept of Equivalent Exchange: "In order to obtain or create something, something of equal value must be lost or destroyed." In standard practice, Equivalent Exchange is separated into two parts:  The Law of Conservation of Mass, which states that energy and matter can neither be created from nothing nor destroyed to the point of elemental nonexistence. In other words, to create an object weighing one kilogram, at least one kilogram of material is necessary and destroying an object weighing one kilogram would reduce it to a set of parts, the sum of which would weigh one kilogram.  The Law of Natural Providence, which states that an object or material made of a particular substance or element can only be transmuted into another object with the same basic makeup and properties of that initial material. In other words, an object or material made mostly of water can only be transmuted into another object with the attributes of water. In order to begin an alchemical transmutation, a symbol called aTransmutation Circle is necessary. A Transmutation Circle can either be drawn on the spot when a transmutation is necessary (in chalk, pencil, ink, paint, blood or even traced in dirt) or permanently etched or inscribed beforehand, but without it, transmutation is generally impossible.

Personality: Fairly sweet and gentle Kaya is friendly and always willing to help out when someone, friend or stranger needs help. Sometimes her soft heart and generous, trusting, often naive nature can mean others can easily take advantage of her. It rarely seems to lower her mood though and she’s rarely seen being sad or down. She dislikes conflict and rarely uses her powers unless the situation calls for it and never against someone in a fight, even sometimes in sacrifice of defending herself. History: Both of Kaya's parents were heroes back in the day, her Mother having the ability to communicate with and control plants, whilst her father was an exceptionally powerful alchemist. However during a seemingly simply mission there was an accident and her mother lost her leg when it was crushed by a building. She retired opened a small florist. Her father remains an active hero and travels a lot, so he isn’t home often. Having moved to the quieter suburbs from the big city after the accident the family was able to settle down and have a child. Kaya herself has grown up in the house she currently lives in and discovered alchemy at a very young age. Her father was not around often, but all of his research, notes and books were and as soon as she was able to read on her own the girl began studying them and her mother did nothing but encourage the natural gift she possessed. As a child she found herself often picked on for being a book worm, always studying alchemy and was often picked on. It was through those events however that she met Bryant, so it was never something she complained about. As it stands now she has developed none of the plant based powers her mother has, but according to her father she may surpass his power soon. Appearance: Fairly short in height and very slim in size; Kaya has long, waist length dark caramel brown hair and powerful butterfly blue eyes.

Name: Bryant North Age: 18 Power/ Limitations: Electrokinesis if he's not careful he could hurt himself when hes wet Personality: He doesn't really care what other people think abotu him and mouths off to those that irritate him. Kind to his friends and merciless to his enemies he is both feared for his short temper but respected for his unorthodox srategies. History: His mother was once a powerful super villain who thought that the only way to save the world was to kill as many people as she could at a time. She did not however want to wipe out the human race. She had numerous subordinates who would have taken a bullet for her and even married her second in command which resulted in her son. When she learned she was pregnant she made one last attempt to protect the earth by destroying a large metropolitan city but was thwarted by her nemesis and all her subordinates ave her husband were captured. Since both their identities were a secret they disappeared to raise their son. Bryant grew up in a loving home and although his parents tried to turn him to their way of thinking wishes to save the world as a hero. When he was six he met Kaya at a nearby park and beat up some bullies who were hurting her and they've been friends ever since. He'd often get in trouble for getting fights with bullies during elementary and middle school who would pick on Kaya. When it was discovered he had superpowers he was enrolled in the same high school as Kaya Appearance:Six foot tall with messy black and red hair, tanned skin, his left eye is blue while his right eye is grey. Wears a red t-shirt with a yin-yang sign on it, black cargo pants and red sneakers.

Name: Nora North
Age: 51
Power: Energy manipulation to include healing energy. Can supercharge her physical abilities to imitate super strength. If she's not careful her powers could kill her if over used to quickly.

Personality: Not your typical villainess she detests causing pain and would rather not prolong a fight if she can. Extremely caring she treated all those who worked under her as her family and would do anything to help even the lowest of minions. Although she feels that the only way to save the Earth is to lower the human population it still hurts her when she kills large numbers of people but she still feels no guilt about the act.

History: She was an enviromental scientist who after years of researching ways to save the planet came to the conclusion that the only way to save it was to kill oof most of humanity to give the Earth time to heal. She spent twenty years as a Villainess killing hundreds of thousands of civilians and several heroes without ever having been captured before retiring to raise her son 18 years ago. She is aware who her sons friends father and mother really are but doesn't feel the need to act on this information and won't do anything to discourage her sons friendship with Kaya.

Appearance: Five foot three inches tall, light blue eyes, slightly pale skin, a slim figure, kind expression on her face most of the time, hip length jet black hair.

Name: Summer Grant
Age: 45

Power/ Limitations: Chlorokinesi
Users can create, shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, fruits and flowers. The user can cause plants to grow, move/attack or even rise from the soil and "walk", mutate plants by rearranging DNA structure and revive withered or dead plants. Unable to create plants, being limited to manipulating only from already existing sources. Is powerless in areas without plants or at least potential for plants to grow (infertile/barren soil).

Personality: Summer is an incredibly nurturing and caring woman. She is much like her daughter, kind to a fault and very gentle. She treats Bryant like a member of her own family, even giving him a key to their house. Much like Kaya she holds no resentment towards her husband for being away as long as he does.

History: She is one of those rare people with powers who didn’t take up some kind of crime fighting or crime based career. She graduated school and went straight into university where she studied a degree in business management. Shortly after leaving she took out a small loan to start up her own floral business and is now the largest florist in the town, and has most of her business in weddings and corporate events.

Appearance: A tall, slender and elegant woman; Summer has elbow length dark caramel brown hair that frames a pale, heart shaped face with soft green eyes.
