I'm going crazy! I'm in larp fever! And friend just called invinting herself here for tomorrow . . . how the heck am I supposed to get the place tidy until then? I love my creative chaos . . . ;^;

Stick some upbeat songs on (ideally Mulan, other Disney movies are available) and get your clean on! I'm so jealous of your larping! You have to tell me all about it!

I will! So looking forward to the weekend! And they're all coming here the day before because I live closest xD It's gonna be such fun. I don't get visitors often, so I'm excited.

Awwh! It'll be on heck of an adventure then! What you guys planning on doing then? (I literally have no idea what happens when people larp)

We're NPCs this time. We have night-shadow-elves attacking at night. In fact the trupe consists of a few friends of mine with walkies xD they'll be running around in the forest by night shooting arrows at the players. I'll probably be a zombie most of the time.

It's like improvised theatre without an audience. And it has a team that organizes the plot and NPCs.

That sounds way cooler than I ever imagined! Screw everyone I live near.. Does everyone play consistent characters usually then? Or is it "you have to be this:"

As NPC you play what's needed. It can be a consistent character like a village person who's always there. But it could also be "just another mob" really depends on the plot. But you can of course always ask for a certain role.

As player you have a consistent character and have to stay in your role for the duration of the con.

This weekend we're going to be 89 players and 56 NPCs, so its not big but not small either

I can imagine, but still. That's a lot of people. Who creates the stories?

There's always a team that organizes it. If I wanted to I could also try, but its really hard work. They write the plot, write invitations, rent land . . it's a lot to consider. But everyone could do it

It seems like they know what they're doing then. I think the group near me just chill in a basement fighting each other. I've never seen anything else they do. God I'm jealous haha
