The Xavier institute for the gifted is a place for learning, a place of safety and above all a place where one could be what they are without judgement. Within the halls of the mansion mutants from all over the world come, some just students and some apart of the team known as the X-Men. Long time students Jean Grey, Scott Summers, Angel, Iceman and beast can still be found helping and teaching other students with Professor X. Alongside them stand Storm, Rogue, Gambit and Wolverine though Wolverine’s teachings are more extreme than the others. Many other X-Men come and go but no matter where they are they are still a part of the X-Men.
The night sky was clear, not a single cloud in sight could be seen. The mansion grounds quite as they could be at this time. The stars and the moon glowed brightly over the mansion. The water fountain keeping its flow going as everything else rests. A slight breeze rolled over the garden areas, the trees rustling in the distance every so often. The mansion itself was quite yet not silent. Not every mutant was sleeping, some still up in their rooms either reading, preparing for tomorrow, goofing off with others or if one was like Wolverine getting ready for a hard day of being an X-Man.
The main lobby was lit though the front doors were locked, heavy oak doors having a class room, library, kitchen or other room behind them. The sound of a grand clock could be heard as it ticked, ticked and ticked some more. Never stopping, never lagging and always being handy for those who wanted to know the time. Many painting and plants were presence, this giving the place a little life and class. For a moment nothing but the sound of ticking was heard but like life that soon changed. Class would start soon, 8:00am for some and later for others. The hallways would become noisy and full but safe for each and everyone.
Up in his room Professor X was tossing and turning, sweat running down his forehead. His bed sheets all in disarray, a pillow finding itself on the floor and the other barely supporting his head. As he tossed and turned he spoke out.
Professor X: "Nooooo, stop it...."
[Pause]
Professor X: "My X-Men, stop this madness before it is to late."
[Pause]
Professor X: "Nooooo, STOP IT, I, I, I can't control it....... ARRGGGGGGHHHHHH."
With that Charles Xavier opened his eyes, his breathes were short and rapid. His body shook for a moment as he looked at his hands trying to collect himself. His thoughts scattered but with some tips be able to bring everything back in order, with his eyes closed he began to inhale and exhale slowly. The professor giving himself 5 second wait times in-between, slowly but surely he managed to gather all his thoughts as he soon turned over to see the lamp on his night table. He reaches out to turn it on where he spots the clock which tole him it was 04:59am. 'What was that, a dream, an event, an outcome? Whatever it was I did not like it' he thought to himself.
