Good news for next week though: All of my classes and other meetings are cancelled for Thanksgiving break, except one on Monday, so aside from the day of the holiday, I have way too much free time lol

Dang. Unfortunately I work every day up until next Saturday and they're all pretty much 8 hour shifts except for my four hour on thanksgiving xD I'll have the weekend completely free though.

Also, I got curious, so I read online that apparently it's a known problem in California for employers to schedule their workers 39 hours so they don't have to legally call them full time. That's pretty jacked up because you're giving them full time effort (minus one hour) and getting no benefits for it :/

Yeah, it's pretty bad.
Like I'm working ~36 hours a week right now and I'm not full time. It's especially bad at my work for some reason too. One of my coworkers is literally working like 39.30 hours a week and she's still 'part-time'.

My one friend works at Ross and it isn't as bad there. Part time is actually part time there cx
Like, she's full-time now and she's working either the same amount of hours as me or even less sometimes.

That's funny because Ross has a bad reputation in my town xD
They only schedule their workers like 5 hours a week, so everyone quits because that's literally only about $200/mo
For perspective, average apartment rent here is $600+/mo per person
