Nice! Fair warning though: Vegas is ridiculously expensive ^^; We were only able to afford it because we saved for a whole year and Hilton practically gave us our hotel for free (rooms here are normally $300-$800/night at the cheapest end). There are ways to make it more affordable, but quality entertainment is hundreds of dollars per person and most restaurants charge $20-30 per plate. Also, you need about $100/person to play in a casino for a fair amount of time, and if you don't make money by the end, then that's also expensive.

I think the best ways to make it cheaper are to stay in a hotel that's not close to the strip and eat at fast food restaurants instead of the ones in/around casinos. Also, even though shows are the most expensive thing you can do here, you should definitely go to one while you're there! They're part of the Vegas experience cx Cirque du Soleil is pricey, but there are other shows that aren't as bad if that one is out of your price range. (I still recommend Cirque though because it was worth every penny IMO)

Also, if you go to a casino, take advantage of the free drinks xD Drinks everywhere in Vegas are dirt cheap because they want people to get drunk so they'll spend more. I saw some places that had 99 cent drinks, others had 3 for $10, and of course, most casinos give them away for free. It's pretty awesome.

One of our options for our 7 day trip is Hawaii, but we probably can’t do it. I already looked into it yesterday. Airfare is $400+ per person, all hotels are at least $500/night, food and entertainment is pretty much the same as Vegas too. Even with our discounted hotel, it would cost us about $4K to go at the very least. (That’s after saving $4.5K on the lodging)

We’re thinking about going to Orlando for a second Disney world trip or Washington DC instead

Also, we’re taking extra time to explore today, so I won’t be home to reply until later ^^

Really? I was able to get by in Oahu pretty cheaply xD Aside from airfare at least.
I used Airbnb for hotel wise and got a spot really close to the beach for like $140 a night and we got a thing called an Oahu go card which help with entertainment stuff cx

Seriously? Dang, I don’t look into AirBnBs because they break a lot of building codes, so I’m a little sketched out by them lol

But yeah, I talked about prices with my parents who paid for our last trip there, and they said you need like $1-2K for food and entertainment if you’re there for a whole week ^^;

Makes sense. I'm not sure how much I spent on food for the few days I went but entertainmentwise the card we got saved us quite a bit since it paid for a bunch of different things.

That’s good! I’ve just heard way too many horror stories to trust them ^^;
That’s nice! Yeah, if we go back to Hawaii, I want to go ziplining and see some live shows, which would cost an arm and a leg xD

No matter where we go for vacation, our package includes a luxury 2 bedroom condo, so we’re planning to bring people who are willing to pay a portion of the hotel fee as well as cover their own expenses to make it cheaper for everyone. We have no idea who to bring yet though because we don’t have a consistent friend group (everyone moves away when they graduate college, and they leave every winter/summer break to be with their families). Hopefully we can find like 4 people who Are willing to do it though :)

Those are really good too! I don't love a lot of Christian artists, since they can be kinda repetitive, but Hahhah Kerr has an amazing voice ^^

Ah, okay. I actually am Christian (I just tend not to write like it, since I don't include my personal practices in my characters) but if you study music history, Christian music takes longer to develop than secular music because there's always backlash from traditionalists who believe that if you change it, then you're of the devil xD It's kinda sad, really. The artists are getting better slowly, but I still haven't found too many that I love.

Jonathan Thulin is really good though. He's got one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard in my life
