Passionate, stubborn, relatively outgoing, serious about her duties, and highly protective of those she cares about. She can be sarcastic and tends to tease her friends but she has a big heart. She has absolutely zero tolerance for bullies and unlike most Moroi and Dhampir students she doesn't condemn the Dhampirs who live in the communes as she came from one herself. History:
Angelina was born in a Dhampir commune and she learned early how hard life could be. Her mother struggled to support her and her two younger sisters in a world that sees her only as a 'blood whore' despite the fact that all her children, aside from Anna, are from one Moroi male... Anna's mother won't talk to her about her father and so Anna has no idea who he is. In the commune Angelina got to see first hand how badly Moroi men who came there treated Dhampir women but despite that, when she heard of the training compensation law being passed she immediately signed up for Academy in order to help support her family the best way she could. Despite Anna's disdain toward most Moroi Royals and her wary attitude around most Moroi males Anna sets it aside and takes her training very seriously... The better and more professional you are the more likely you are to get a royal ward and the more important the Moroi you are assigned to the more money you make once you become a Guardian. Money, to Anna, means a way to help provide for and take care of her family and family is everything...
During her senior year Anna graduated top of her class with Gunner Marks. She joined the Elites and has been serving as a temporary Guardian to Albhe Drozdov until now. After the large group of Dhampir students graduated last year and more joined this year, more than has been seen in quite some time, due to the new laws in place by the Queen the Academy was in need of more teachers... More Guardians to watch the school grounds. So Anna was reassigned to Academy...

Personality:
Sarcastic, stubborn, and a trouble maker known for pushing the rules. Sebastian believes Moroi should learn to protect themselves instead of having to rely on others, disliking the idea of someone else putting their life of the line to protect his. He at first refused a Guardian until his parents forced it upon him... like so much else. Sebastian suffers from the moodiness and depression commonly found in most Spirit Users and tends to drown it out by getting into trouble... drinking, smoking, flirting. He refuses to get close to anyone either, pushing anyone who manages to start breaking down his walls away... usually with cruel words or actions... thoroughly burning the bridge between himself and nearly everyone else. He is fun loving and a bit of a wild child and though he has a great many friends, none of them know him very well aside from one or two very close ones who refuse to let him push them out of his life.
History:
Sebastian has always been a bit of a disappointment to his parents. He has always been a rule breaker and has a severe dislike for courtly duties and politics, tending to do anything he can to stay away from such things. His other siblings are the golden kids, doing exactly what's expected of them but as the eldest of his line he is the Prince and so his parents tend to try to push him into things... Because of his parent's constant disapproval, even when he tries to get things right, and their constant comparison to his deceased elder brother Sebastian tends to go out of his way to irritate and embarrass his parents... giving them a real reason to be disappointed. His inability to declare a magic, which exposed him as a Spirit User, is among his latest failures which his father gives him hell about constantly... as if he could have chosen otherwise. Sebastian doesn't talk about it but Spirit scares him, he can tell when the spells of madness hit even when he just slips a little... saying strange things or feeling the paranoia or the irrational agitation... This is also another big reason he won't let anyone get too close, he's afraid he might hurt someone.
In his senior year Sebastian met Serena and was paired up with her as her Ward. Serena's kind heart and patience won Seb over and he has been with her ever since despite his parent's disapproval. Now, Sebastian is working as a teacher for the Spirit wielding Moroi students at the Academy, at Serena's urging. He has been happier than he has been in years with his new job and his Shadow-Kissed Guardian at his side. However, like any Moroi royal, Sebastian has duties... ones his parents are pushing hard to see him fulfill... A fling with a Guardian is one thing, but a Moroi is supposed to wed another Moroi and with Seb being pushed to become Prince of his line, everything has become more complicated.

Personality: Serena is quiet and tends to keep more to herself. This is mainly due to fear of people figuring out what Moroi men did and what she allowed them to do her. She is shaky and tends to be a little jumpy, although, some of this might very well be from the withdrawal that she is now going through.
Background: Born and raised in a Dhampir commune, Serena had a... difficult childhood. Her mother was young when she had her, Serena was clearly a mistake. Her mother was a blood whore, through and through, and Serena could never really get over that. Although, that could have been due to the fact that from a young age her mother allowed her Moroi father to drink from her. Well, maybe she didn't let him but she surely didn't stop him either. Nor did she stop anyone else. Realizing her own addiction and seeing the women around her, who had practically come dependent one the endorphins from Moroi bites, Serena decided it was time to leave.
Although, she attended a school not far from the commune year round, Serena applied to St. Vladimir's. She felt as though this was the one way to escape the only future she saw for herself. She still bares the scars from her years at the commune and hides them under her long brown hair. Now, she intends to keep her secret while training to be a guardian as an escape... For now.
Serena's final year of school was a bit strange, including running away from home in Italy, making new friends, dying, being brought back from death by her spirit wielding Moroi boyfriend, being confronted by her father, going manic addict on her friends, and actually managing to graduate as one of the top of her class. Despite offers, Serena decided to stay with Sebastian, which wasn't a hard decision to make. Their life over the last few years had been good. Serena was less antsy about her past, even managed to take down a few Strigoi without dying. Although, sometimes it was hard to tell who the Guardian was, with how protective Sebastian got. Ultimately, he had been the best thing to happen to her.
She now wears her hair in a ponytail from time to time that often worries those who do not know about what all she has been through. Mainly Sebastian's family, although that could very well just be her and her relationship with Sebastian that they don't like. However, she likes the thought that her weakest moments lie with her strongest, the molnija marks that show how many Strigoi she's killed and are tattooed to a small piece of unscarred skin at the back of her neck, spilling out onto her upper back.
Personality: Calm, cool, collected. Doesn't really know how to have fun. He's very wrapped up in the duties of being a guardian.
Background: Gunner mother was turned Strigoi when he was very young. Had it not been for his uncle, a guardian, it was highly likely that Gunner would be dead. Due to this, he takes his job very seriously. He doesn't see glory in killing Strigoi like some of his classmates do. Although he wishes to protect Moroi from the fearsome beasts of the night, he is tormented by the images of his mother. His uncle had been unable to kill her and in the end, she ran off with him. All Gunner knows is that she is still alive.
After graduation, Gunner managed to make it into the Elites, something he had been striving for since months previous. This was the best possible outcome for him and his girlfriend. The one way the two of them were able to stick together as well as remain Guardian, nothing could go wrong. Until everything did and the relationship fell apart due to his incessant need to be the best and to make people proud. Which is the reason he has allowed for himself to take many wards, hunt for Stigoi, and now teach as the Elite and Queen needed him to.
Personality: Rae is a wild guy and very much a royal. He isn't always the nicest to though he deems below him, non-royals, dhampirs, humans. Of course, if you're royal or if he just takes interest in you, he can be quite charming. He's a bit of a hot head with a short fuse although, he tries to keep calm, emphasis on tries.
Background: Rae has had a wonderful life. All his life, he's gotten what he wanted or needed. Waited on, hand and foot. Life was never rough for Rae. Although, due to this charmed existence, he is a bit of an ass. Due to never having to endure hardship, he doesn't really know what it is like. He looks down his nose on almost everyone. To him, your last name is a big deal. Despite his snobbery, he is quite popular and seems to attract the ladies. But what can he say? He does have rock hard abs, oh yeah.
After graduation, Rae took on a major part in his father's business to ease him into taking over the company entirely as his father prepares for early retirement.
Personality: Abigail was once a very sweet mother. She was more of a breeder than a blood whore. However, she only had one child before she was changed and thus was very attached to him. After her awakening, Abigail became very cruel and sadistic.
Background: Abigail was young when she had a a baby boy, Gunner. She had wanted to become a mother so badly and Gunner quickly became her world. She did everything and any for her son until the day that she was attacked by a Strigoi. Believing her to be beautiful, the Strigoi changed her rather than killing her. Abigail became obsessive about her son, who was now in the care of her brother after her disappearance. Late one night, she sneaked into the house to gather her baby boy only to be fought off by her brother. The two fought and her brother being a well trained guardian managed to defeat her. However, unable to kill his sister before her son, he took her outside and asked one of the mother's to watch Gunner and asked her to take care of him if he didn't return.
He never did for the moment Abigail regained consciousness she killed him. His body was never found. She knew better than to enter the commune that night. However, when she returned to gather Gunner, he was gone and she had no clue where they had sent him. She promptly took to killing everyone within their old home and set out to find her son.
It wasn't until recently as her son started to gain notice from the rest of the world that she's been able to find him and for the first time knows exactly where he is.
In public:
Personality: Calm, collected, polite, guarded, intelligent... but that's only the face she puts on. Underneath it she is passionate, stubborn, playful, and kind hearted. She craves adventure and a break from the mundane life of whats expected.
Background: Kat has always taken care of herself. With parents that were basically never around because of courtly duties, Kat became independent early. She threw herself into her studies but for all her careful reading and practice, she had never been able to control her element well... It's too closely tied to her emotions rather than her sometimes overly clinical mind. When Kat was sixteen, her parents started taking a role in her life again. They trained her up to be the perfect socialite, perfect for the court... perfect heir to head of the family name. She adopted the role easily along with everything else her parents wanted her to be... She learned several instruments, she can sing, dance, paint, draw... The last two aren't her parent's favorite, a daughter covered in charcoal and pain isn't exactly the image they want getting out into the Royal world of the Moroi. Kat has been surrounded by Dhampir guardians since she was born, she has always found them too cold and business like for her taste but she supposed that was part of the role they played... much as she played her own role.
When her family broke the news about their plans to wed her off to the prince of the Costas, Kat accepted this too... Despite her seeming to accept her role perfectly, Kat holds a deep passion for her drawing and painting. She spends hours reading, escaping the confines of what's expected of her... but all of that is well hidden behind the face of the 'perfect' princess.
