[IC] Mighty Morphin Power Rangers-Redux

Somewhere out in the desert both Zordon and Alpha 5 have moved from the original command center to the back up command center. Rita's plan to destroy them had failed and that may have cost her. The desert was once a hot and bright place but now it is nothing more then a darkened landscape with statues of Rita placed nearly everywhere within the desert itself. Some build into the mountain rock and some stand tall alone without any support. Rita's patrol units crawled all over the places she had under her control and so you could not escape her. Under one of the Rita statues was where Zordon and Alpha 5 went, she would not except them to go their and so they were safe for now. The inside was similar to the original command center but had less equipment at this time but would change over time. There were more neon lights then the original place and the viewing globe was bigger, this one was in the center of the room. The room was bigger too since this place spanned along the underground. Like it always was the room was dim where Zordon was but where Alpha was it was bright and rather colourful.

Alpha 5: "Ay-yi-yi, Zordon. The power rangers we chose have just vanished."

Zordon: "You are correct, Alpha. My sensors are indicating that something major has happened. It seems the rangers have been removed from existence. This has Rita all over it, Alpha, we must go to plan b and we must have the rangers act now."

Alpha 5: "Ay-yi-yi! I will begin pinpointing the back up rangers now, hopefully they can stop Rita in her tracks."

The lone robot began to move around the room pressing buttons of various sizes and colours. Alpha 5 turning knobs to adjust their search functions, who knew where these people were at this time. Alpha 5 kept moving from one spot to the next, circling the viewing globe as he did. The configurations were off and so he had to calibrate them. 'Ay-yi-yi!' Alpha 5 thought to himself. It took about 30 minutes to redo but soon the scanner was on track. The first one was locked within 30 seconds, another one was locked 30 seconds later with the rest following moments later. With the scanners locked Alpha 5 looked up at Zordon who gave Alpha the go ahead, time was not on their side. Rita would find them soon and so the rangers needed to be briefed now.

Zordon: "Time is of the essence, I suspect Rita is looking for us right now. The power rangers can't exist or Rita will fail. Whatever happened to the original rangers I suspect it was Rita's doing."

Alpha 5: "Targets are locked, the new rangers are incoming."

The facility output was higher then normal but that was because this place was still in the set up phase, hopefully Alpha 5 could fix that soon. Alpha 5 soon walked towards the east side of the viewing globe and turned so he could face the rangers when they were here. The teleportation had to be quick or Rita would pick up on them though it seemed the group were here soon here.

Sitting in a ruined building, next to a fire in an old trash can, Lucas looks up to the sky wondering what it would be like to fly, shaking his head he smirked knowing full well that him flying would be a physical impossibility. Then he was no longer looking at the sky and it's clouds but at a metal roof and bright lights, "What the hell?",he drops his head so he can see what is in front of him, a robot, "Umm how did I get here, wherever here is?",he says to the robot, standing up he views the room around him. Sticking his hands in his pockets he waits for a response.

Jennifer was searching through an old building hoping to find her family some food and some kindling for a fire. Sitting on a damaged wall she sighed and was openly wondering whether there was any point going on. Then in a flash of light she found herself in a different building, getting up she looked around and took in the lights and the computers and finally the robot which left her shocked.

"What the hell is this place and how did I get here?" she wondered out loud.

In order to find medical supplies for his father's clinic Ethan had gone to the abandoned Angel Groves hospital despite the dangers. If any of the gang members or worse Rita's patrollers caught him there, his only option was to run and hope to lose them and while he was sure he could sneak past them as long they didn't know he was there; running wasn't his strong point.

So far he had managed to find some painkillers, lab supplies and disinfectants and while it wasn't a big haul it was about he could fit in his backpack, so he decided to head back home. Just as he left the hospital he suddenly found himself in some room filled with high tech gadgets a robot and two other people."Great, I'm betting we're going to be experimented on or something." He said, sounding defeated.

The barricade was finished, and with the explosives that she had found it would be perfect! With a simple blast, she would stop those bastards from advancing further for a few days, and with that time she would have enough time to get away from this awfull place and find a new home. Although she was used to being on her own, she wanted a small change in her life, instead of being wanted by the autorities, she wanted to be free. Free from rules and free from this darkness.
As the troops were advancing towards her trap, she grinned a bit evil, soon they would have to change their route for what she was about to do, was to make a demolished building collaps on the road.
As the troops came closer, she pressed the button so that the explosives went off, and as she stared at them to see their reaction, she suddenly stood in a room filled with all kinds of lights and... a robot? Multiple other humans were here aswell, although she didn't liked this that much. Did she got caught?!
She stood still for the time being, although she kept her guard up.

Slowly each ranger slowly appeared one after the other though each looking confused. This was to be expected though. Alpha 5 scanning the room as each new person appeared; one after another they each heard a comment come from the potential new rangers. A few of them said nothing at all. One looked even more confused than the others; it was like she did not know who she was or what was happening around her. She showed no signs of fear though. Alpha 5 kept mostly still, the bot was not sure how they would react upon seeing him, let alone moving and speaking directly to them.

Lucas: "Umm how did I get here, wherever here is?"

Jennifer: "What the hell is this place and how did I get here?"

Ethan: "Great, I'm betting we're going to be experimented on or something."

Alpha 5: “Ay-yi-yi, Zordon, it seems we have the new recruits here.”

Zordon: “Yes Alpha, we indeed do but we must be careful on how we go about this and do it in very little time.”

[Pause]

Zordon: “Welcome to the command center, I am Zordon and over there is Alpha 5. You six are needed in this great time of need; the world has gone horribly wrong. Angel Grove needs you, the world needs and more importantly the people need you.”

[Pause]

Alpha 5 stayed standing in spot, it seemed they had six overbearing and over-emotional humans to be the new rangers. The command center lights moving in rhythm as they turned off and on, moved left to right and even up and down. The viewing globe was blank at this time as Zordon spoke, he needed them to understand what he was about to say and hoped they would do what was right. At a glance they all seemed to to be different yet be the same in some ways. The only thing really linking them was where they were from and that they were trying to survive.

Zordon: "The world is not what it is supposed to be, an evil enemy known as Rita Repulsa has done something to alter the timeline we are currently in. Some strange event has created an alternative reality where the power rangers had never happened until now. Each of you have the power and ability to become a ranger, each having their own weapons, power coins and even an animal to represent you. We need you six to be our new power rangers or we will live in this world of darkness forever."

Candice was ever so more confused with what the big floating head was saying. Power Ranger? What was that and who was this Rita Repulsa person? All these questions and no real answers, this caused some form of headache though strangely was not against the idea of saving the world. The question was why she thought like this. Candice could not remember anything except her name which was weird, what happened to her for something like this to even happen? Alpha 5 seemed like an interesting character, she would of spoke up but she wanted to hear from the other strangers in the room.

[Snarfulblast]

"Well, if we are these 'Power Rangers' where is our gear?" Lucas folds his arms, his question aimed at the floating head.

"Yeah, anyways seeing as we have to work together, we should at least introduce ourselves my name is Hayden." Hayden takes a few steps forward and turns to face the others.

"Yeah, my name Lucas pleased to meet you." he starts to tap his right foot. His mind is racing, he quickly make a few scenarios in which he could escape if needed.

[Duthguy]

Honestly all Ethan wanted was to leave, however he wouldn't be his father's son if he abandoned people in need. "I don't want to, but I guess I'll help, my name is Ethan BTW. Why did you pick me though? Sure I know some first aid and can sneak around unnoticed but that is it." Before he could say anything else the boy that introduced himself as Lucas made a good point, where were these weapons promised to them by the Giant Floating Head?

"Jennifer" Jennifer began raising her hand "All I really have to say on this is if these weapons do exist let's do it. I don't know about any of you but I'm sick of tired of living in fear, going days without food and water and wondering if the creature coming round the corner is going to be the one that finishes me off. Before I was brought here I was seriously wondering what the point of living was, but Zordon, Alpha 5 if you truly can give us these weapons I will happily use them to finally make a difference in this world. I seriously hope everyone else here feels the same way."

[Snarfulblast]

"Same, although I have been by myself from for a few years I can see the point in helping. But like Hayden,Alpha 5, and Zordon said we will be working together which means we should have someone to lead us, someone with experience in leading others." Lucas stops tapping his foot.

"I have some experience in a leadership role." Hayden walks back to where he was standing before he turned to talk to the group."Also you mentioned us having our own colors?"

As each and everyone of them started to speak up, and even that robot and the flooting head started to explain things. The girl just stood there, silently. She knew what this world had come to, for she was fighting within it for years already, and she enjoyed the way it was going. She wasn't planning on saving this godforsaken world, for it wasn't worth saving any more.
As each of them spoke that about who they were and even some spoke about the weapons, she grinned a bit. Weapons?! Perhaps it wasn't that bad after al! Although mostly she stole the weapons that she had needed for all her sabotaging.
She wasn't planning on introducing herself towards the others, for she hated to work with a team. She enjoyed working on her own, and she was planning to keep it that way!
In her past she had worked with a small group, although they kept her down and almost even got her killed! Ever since then, she made a promise to her self to never ever ever work with a group again! No mather if they were good or bad at what they did, she just wasn't planning to do it again, and get killed once more!
As they talked about a leader, she grinned, ofcourse someone stepped up immediatly, who wouldn't! As for her, she just took a few steps back, to fade away within the shadows that this lab had. She wasn't quite sure what to expect from these guys, nor what to expect from these two lunatics that were trying to convince them that they were going to be the new heroes of this world, let alone be just second rated.
If they were going to convince her, they had to come up with a much better story than just someone that alttered the universe, or that they had to safe the world from evil when even the humans themselves have a certain darkness within them.

[Royzooka]

Candice: "Hi my name is Candice, that is all I really remember. I am not to sure what is going on though."

Ethan: "I don't want to, but I guess I'll help, my name is Ethan BTW. Why did you pick me though? Sure I know some first aid and can sneak around unnoticed but that is it."

Zordon: "You were not chosen because of the skills you have, you were chosen as you have the heart, strength and willpower to do this. Each and everyone one of you have kindest in your hearts, some show it more than others but it is there."

Hayden: "Also you mentioned us having our own colors?"

Zordon: "Yes the rangers each have their own colours, for example you Hayden will be the red ranger, I will now tell you this. Alpha 5, please give the power coins to these new rangers."

Alpha 5: "Ay-yi-yi where did I put them. Ah OK I found them."

Alpha 5 hands Hayden the first coin.

Zordon: "Hayden you are the red ranger, the leader of the rangers. You’re the spirit animal you be the mighty tyrannosaurs"

Alpha soon handed Lucas his power coin.

Zordon: "Lucas you will be the yellow ranger and your spirit animal will be the deadly Saber-Toothed Tiger."

Alpha soon hands Jennifer her power coin.

Zordon: "Jennifer you will be the white ranger. You are second in command and so will be in control if the red ranger is unable to. You will have the instinctive white tiger as your spirit animal."

Alpha then hands the next power coin to Ethan.

Zordon: "Ethan you are the blue ranger, you will have the brave Triceratops as your spirit animal."

Alpha then hands Candice her power coin.

Zordon: "You will be the pink ranger; your spirit animal will be the Pterodactyl who flies free."

Alpha soon walked over to the last member who seemed to have stepped back a bit. Alpha holds the coin out for her to grab if she so chose.

Zordon: "Kiara you will be the black ranger, you will have the mighty Mastodon as your spirit animal. The choice is yours but we don’t have much time, we can send you back to where we found you if you want no part but remember this no one can survive on their one, eventually we all need one another. If you take the power coin then you have accepted to help, if you don’t then we can put this behind you."

[ShadowRaeper]

Kiara glanced at Zordon as he started to speak about which colours they represented, what animal spirit they would gain and even who would lead them. As Zordon spoke to the first person, he told him that he was the red ranger, and would be their leader. Did they seriously thought she would follow some guy, who hasn't even earned her trust, let alone proven himself to be worthy in her eyes?
There was even a second in command! The white ranger... They both had to go a long way, before she would even dare to follow them, let alone follow their orders! This wasn't even the way she worked!
As the robot, Alpha-5, came towards her, a evil smile appeared on her face as Zordon spoke. She was the black ranger, and was given the animal spirit Mastodon. Although she still had her doubts about this entire thing.
As Zordon spoke about chosing her path, she glanced at Alpha-5, moved a bit closer with bloodthirst in her eyes, and an evil smile on her face.
"So you are saying that I am allowed to go lose in the city, without any conseciounces and with powers beyond my imagination if I take this coin? Or be send back to that pity life that I once had? This choice is quite easy to make, bubblehead, although being commanded by a boy isn't my kind of thing. I am a loner, and work alone. That's how i've survived all these years, and i am not planning on trusting anyone anymore. That almost costed me my life. So, I'll accept this, although I won't follow him."
As she got close enough to Alpha-5 to take the coin, she took it out of his hands, and moved back into the shadows that she adored. From here she could see everything, and no one would be able to ambush her. As her eyes now mostly were focused on the strange coin in her hand, she still kept her guard up and was keeping an eye on her surrounding.

[Duthguy]

When the robot approached him Ethan reluctantly accepted the coin. Part of him wanted to follow the the black ranger's example and also disappear into the shadow, but he knew that doing that at this point would only draw more attention towards him. How can we be sure that this Rita won't go after our families?"

He naturally had other questions including why their leaders seemed to be chosen at random but in his mind this was the most important one, not at least because of what would happen to all of his father's patients in that case. However if worst came to worst he would simply have to abandon them, cause saving the world was of course more important.

Taking the coin from Alpha Jennifer turned to Ethan and said "Because we will be there to protect them Ethan, we all have friends and family who are now targets for this Rita. Each of us has to make sure that they are safe and secure." Turning to Kiara she continued "Kiara, I don't know what happened before but I promise I spend every possible doing my best to earn your trust.

Looking up at Zordon she asked "How do we actually use these?" holding up her coin as she finished.

[Snarfulblast]

Lucas after taking his coin smiles, he always thought he was kind of cat like. "Yeah also our weapons will they be based on the characteristics off the Animals on our coins?"

"I never said you have to follow me I just said we had to work together, also right here and now I am assigning partners. I will be with Candice, Ethan you will be with Jennifer, leaving Lucas to be with Kiara. Now Jen, if I may call you that, raises a good point how do these coins work?" After his 'orders' Hayden takes his coin and starts to look over it.

"So it will the two people who have always been alone, who will be working together? I fine with it as long as my 'partner' is fine with it. I'll make sure not to get in your way because I also enjoy to work alone."

[ShadowRaeper]

Kiara looked at her new 'teammates' as she grinned, they were serious about this weren't they? Aren't they forgetting something? They were about to engage a world wide war against a powerful being, that hasn't even showed herself yet! How would they even know what they were up against?
As the girl named Jeniffer started to speak towards Kiara, her sight went straight onto her. Was she serious? Trust isn't gained that easily! Neather will she be able to gain it, if she speaks so lightly about it!
And just as it couldn't get any worse... the bastard who still thinks he could order her around, makes orders towards her.
Miss peachy, don't think of it that lightly, trust isn't earned by just actions Mi'lady. And as for you mister hotshot, do you truelly believe that just by being assigned as the leader by mister bubblehead, that you can actually command others around? You're just a fool, thinking that because mister bubblehead said so you can truelly give orders. Don't make me laugh, for I aint planning to follow you, untill you have truelly proven you're worthy of calling yourself our leader!"
As she spoke, she slowly steps out of the shadows that concealed her from the rest, and as she stopped next to Alpha-5, placing her eyesight unto Zordon.
"As for you mister bubblehead, don't you atleast own us an explanation about what kind of enemy we are fighting? How strong she truelly is and why you are taking actions now, instead of before she could control these cities?! For in my eyes, yu are just a failure, just as this entire team will become, if they are already playing captain without even proving themselves."
Kiara glanced at Zordon, as her eyes went across her 'teammates', she didn't trusted them and why would she? They were complete strangers to her and she wasn't planning to have a teaparty with them. She wanted to work for a beter world, but then she would do this on her own, with these powers, instead of working with humanbeings that aren't even worth trusting. For in her eyes, the ones that control the world now, are just as bad as the humanbeings that roam this world.

[Royzooka]

Ethan: "How can we be sure that this Rita won't go after our families?"

Jennifer: "How do we actually use these?"

Kiara : "As for you mister bubblehead, don't you atleast own us an explanation about what kind of enemy we are fighting? How strong she truelly is and why you are taking actions now, instead of before she could control these cities?! For in my eyes, yu are just a failure, just as this entire team will become, if they are already playing captain without even proving themselves."

Questions came in and he would answer then, since one question was asked more then the other Zordon stated with that. This prompted Alpha 5 to grab several boxes before Zordon began to speak. For now he grabbed one and would hand the others out after one showed how it was done though of course Zordon would need to explain how it was done. Alpha 5 began to move around the room.

Zordon: "The power coins you all hold is only one part on how you will become the power ranger. The other item you will need is the morpher which you will put the power coin into. These morphers will change you into your costumes, initiating an instantaneous transformation or metamorphosis. The phase it’s Morphin' Time! is needed for it to work, which then you call out your respective dinosaurs. Candice will you please try doing this with the morpher Aplha is handing you."

Candice nodded for a moment, she seemed a little unsure but soon gave it a go. With the morpher in her hand she fitted it with the power coin and soon gave the others a quick look. The one who was going to be the pink ranger stood straight and held the morpher in front of her pointing towards the others in the room. She took a deep breath first before uttering the words Zordon had said to make the transformation work.

Candice: "It’s Morphin' Time! ..... Pterodactyl!"

As quickly as she said she began to change, a bright pink flash happened and before she knew it she stood dressed as the pink ranger. The morpher and power coin now around her waist. What was she wearing was the first thing that came to mind, was this spandex or something? She soon looked up to the others to see what was on their faces at this time.

Zordon: "Now Ethan I will answer your question. Rita will go after your family in an attempt to stop you but as the power rangers you should be able to over come her cheap tricks and as a ranger you should be equipped to deal with anything she throws at you. You are most strong when together."

Zordon: "Kiara we were taking action but something had happened to the original rangers, we had them in our sights but Rita had killed them before we could get them here. So here you six are. Rita's influence is stronger then usual and so we could not just pull the six people we needed right away. Our original command center was attacked and destroyed upon the fall of our planned original power rangers. I can see you are angry Kiara but you must listen. Rita controls 33% of the world at this time, the control of the other 66% is unknown. What we do know is at this time her dark world is slowly expanding and soon she will have the whole world. Her power has grown, from what the scanners showed must be something to do with the state of the world, this alt world. She has enough power to remove all life on this planet, everyone you knew or did know would be gone and you would be gone if she is left unchecked and unchallenged. I fear she is not the only one out there and so we need the power rangers to correct this problem. The viewing globe will show you what she can do."

The globe soon showed a picture, Rita, her cronies and many monsters were wrecking Angel Grove. They were giants and so leveling the city was easy. Rita was shown to be doing the most damage at this time and for a brief moment the new rangers could see one of many tricks Rita had pulled. The death of the rangers was shown, she had disguised herself as a student, befriended them and when they were not aware, slayed them before the command center could bring them to Zordon and Alpha 5.

Rita: "The rangers are no more, evil shall rule Angel Grove, evil shall rule this planet. [Evil Laugh]"

[Duthguy]

As strange and impossible as the whole morphing thing sounded after everything he had seen Ethan didn't doubt that it would work. He was proven right when Candice showed them how to do it,and turned into the Pink Ranger.

"Now Ethan I will answer your question. Rita will go after your family in an attempt to stop you but as the power rangers you should be able to over come her cheap tricks and as a ranger you should be equipped to deal with anything she throws at you. You are most strong when together." While that sounded comforting what Zordon said later about Rita controlling a third of the planet and especially what the so called viewing globe showed wat sill worrying.

"While I said I would do it and the morphing thing is certainly cool, I wouldn't call controlling giant monsters or being able to shape shift cheap tricks.In fact how do we know none of us is this Rita in disguise? Ethan didn't bring the possibility up or to cause paranoia or to accuse anyone, it was legitimate concern he had especially since he knew how she killed Zordon first choices.

"Because partner the moment she was brought here she would likely have summoned all hell down on this place and we would all likely have died in the resulting firestorm" Jennifer replied as she placed the coin in her morpher "Although given the fact I've barely slept this week I would have welcomed the nap. For what it's worth I'm not an evil witch"

"I do have one final question though. Do we have a way fighting the giant creatures?"
