It was the new school year and all the Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors were busy doing everything they can to make the school year great for them while the Freshmen wanted to just fit in their first year of High school along with survive it. All the girls finding the newest latest fashion, make-up, and hair styles, even seeing if they can break the school dress code a little. The boys trying to look cool and tough so they can make their girls happy or finally be able to get a girlfriend. Nothing but what a typical high schoolers would worry about on a day to day basis at school. But for one Girl it is a different story.
Avery Jones was the new girl she had just recently moved into the neighborhood with her father after her father found out child service was hounding him about his daughter. He just packed up and left without saying a word to anyone. Now Avery was living in a new house that was already filled with beer bottles and looked like someone has lived here for years and trashed it along the way. Avery was in the kitchen cooking breakfast for her father as usual while he was sitting on his chair, which was his bed, dinner table, and on occasions bathroom. "Avery Where is my breakfast I am starving here.....And don't forget my beer!" He yelled from his chair and Emily let out a long sigh. "It is almost ready father." She yelled back for she was mainly slow because her leg was messed up causing her to limp a little and her right arm was bandaged tight after having stitches put in her arm. Once she finished cooking and placing it on the plate, she opened the fridge and pulled out a bottle of beer that was in the back so it would be nice and cold. After she got that settled she went to her father and handed to him and watching her father scarfed the food down like a pig.
Her father noticed her staring at her and he threw the plate at her. "Don't stare at me with those eyes you pathetic child." He said and Avery stumbled after being hit with the plate. "Sorry father I will leave." Avery said as she rushed to grab her beg then out the door. She sighed in relief once out he door and started walking to her new school. Emily knew that she would be picked on for her old sweater, jeans that were torn and patched up, old sneakers, and a backpack that she has spent a lot of repairing almost every day or every other day. All she hoped for is that they will leave her alone since she had no desire talking to anyone or making any friends for she thinks their was no point in making any with how her life was going. She thought of all the things she can do to avoid people as she slowly made her way to the school.
