[IC] The Farmhouse (Dead)

[Valkyr]

The sun shone dimly from the horizon. Overhead, the sky glittered with the newly appearing stars. The group of teens found themselves on the opposite side of the forest, an area they had never thought of trying to reach. They would never have suspected that there was an entire farm on this side of the forest. The farm looked both beautiful and terrifying as it was bathed in the orange glow of the sunset. A gentle wind blew through the tall stalks of corn that covered the area.

Ahead of the group was a long dirt path. It lead directly to the front of the lonely farm building. On either side it was largely surrounded by the forest of corn stalks. The whole area had an eerie aura. The group didn't have much choice, however. They were utterly lost, and it probably wouldn't be a good idea to be wandering around in the middle of the night.

Anne shivered at the sight of the place. It looked so creepy! She glanced at the sunset, raising her hand to shield her eyes. "I wonder if they even have a working phone all the way out here," Anne wondered out loud. She seriously doubted it. She was hoping they'd at least get a ride back home. Hopefully, it wouldn't be one of those creepy couples who were going to ask them to stay over for dinner like the movies.

"Hey Anne, you seem creeped out... just chill, this is fun!" Orion said with a grin, flicking his hair in a turn to look around. "So guys, we gonna go to these nice farmers' home and get directions to get back, or...... we could wander around a dark spooky forest in the middle of the night and get murdered, sound fun?" he chuckled a bit darker, imagining just what he said, although perhaps at his own hands depending on his mood.

Then again they're all together and he couldn't get them all, so there'd be witnesses. Hmmm.... "I for one vote to go to the place, we can probably get back in no time and I can get back to watching my movies all night, I'm sure the internet's back on by now." he said cheerily and optimistically again, waiting for a response from the others before he moved.

[Whitewolf]

Kira crossed her arms as she stared at the farmhouse while wearing a frown on her face. She was making no attempt to hide the fact that she was not pleased to have found herself in this precarious situation. "This is hella creepy," she said. "I don't think I want to go anywhere near that place." She shot a cold stare in Orion's direction. "Fun? Are you serious? How is this fun? If we have to go get directions then let's just get it over with. I don't' want to be here any longer than I absolutely have to be."

[Valkyr]

"Y-Yeah," Anne agreed with Kira. She looked back at the ugly farmhouse. She gulped at the building. Every time she looked at it, it seemed to get worse. She noticed that none of the lights in the windows seemed to be on, even with the quickly darkening sky. What if the owners weren't home? Anne's mood quickly dropped. They were going to have to wait around for the owners to come back. Who knows how long they might take. They might even get trapped outside in the middle of the night!

Anne brushed the thoughts of her head. She was scaring herself. The farmhouse wasn't that scary! They were just going to walk up to the front door and knock. Simple. Anne took a deep breath and started forward.

[Jurassic Weeb]

The entire time, he'd been staying quiet. He'd been talked into doing this by Orion. Normally, Gideon avoided him like the plague. But with his homework done, the internet down, and his Xbox getting repaired, the only other choice had been to thumb through the manga he'd already read, or spend some time with his mother and stepfather. Most of the time, all the two had been doing lately was argue and threaten to divorce each other. So this was a welcome reprieve.

He had to agree that this place was creepy as hell. But Gideon kept his mouth shut. "This is how horror movies start," he said, just barely loud enough for the others to hear. "So who's gonna die first?"

[Whitewolf]

Kira gave Gideon a firm punch in the shoulder when he asked who was gonna die first. The punch wasn't hard enough to hurt him, but definitely hard enough so that he would feel it. "That's not funny," she snapped at him. "You shouldn't talk like that. No one is going to die. We're just going to ask for directions and then leave."

Gideon rubbed his arm. He was a complete puss when it came to pain. "Just sayin'," he muttered. He kept quiet after that. In all honesty even a hit that small made him think back to when his father was a part of his life.

Alexi stood there, staring at the farmhouse. "Humph," I've seen worse" she said, not freaked out by it. "I say we go with Kira's idea, this is too much of a bummer man."

[Jurassic Weeb]

"Nobody brought a cellphone?" Gideon sighed. He took his phone out, and frowned. "No bars. Dammit." He put the cell away. "Now we're in a horror film."

[ScienMalefica]

"Horror's my favourite..." Orion muttered with a dark smile. Of course it was preposterous that there was anything supernatural out there, unfortunately stuff like that doesn't realistically exist. He guesses the best case scenario would be at least the owner/s of the farm being psycho murderers. Fingers crossed.

[xXSINXx]

"Great were stuck here," Alexi said, becoming irritated. "No cell phone, no drugs, no food, not even a place to skate. Fun" Her tome was obviously sarcastic. "So what do we do now guys?" She asked. "Sit here and become scarecrows?"

[Valkyr]

Anne turned towards the others. "W-Well are we going to go to the farmhouse or are we just going to s-stand around talking about it?" She tried to bravely say, her voice shivering all too noticeably. She looked back at the building and gulped at the sight. Every minute that passed, the sun got lower and lower. The darkness only made the farmhouse seem creepier. And yet, still none of the lights lit up.

[Jurassic Weeb]

"We've got nothing better," Gideon sighed. He adjusted his glasses. "Even if nobody's home, there's a good chance they have a phone. Even if this looks like a place out of a Laura Ingalls Wilder book." He took a tentative step towards the house.

[xXSINXx]

"Well I'm sure as hell not standing out here any longer." Alexi said, being the first one to begin walking towards the farmhouse. "You pussy cats coming or am I gonna have to pull out cat food?" Alexi still was not phased by the house. "The only creepy thing out here is fear of death by boredom, now come on." She called back to the others.

[ScienMalefica]

“Race you to the door!” Orion yells with a smile, bouncing echoes into the darkness as he ran, not really expecting anyone else to run. But the scene seemed sure to install some hope and light to a situation before it gets a lot darker if he was in luck.

"Suit yourself." Alexi said, walking at her normal pace. " I just wanna get in here and crash."

[Valkyr]

Anne sped up to a timid jog. "W-Wait up!" She called after Orion. As the sounds echo'd through the corn, a few crows flew out of the fields. Anne jumped slightly at their sight, but soon calmed down. Just birds, she thought. As they approached the building, Anne noticed something quite strange.

The front door was open ajar. Nothing seemed to be around. the building was completely dark and quiet. The sight of the open door only aided in making the entire scene more eerie to Anne.

Gideon kept quiet, staying close to the others. He didn't know any of them beyond an occasional question in class, or being put on the same dodgeball team. However he knew that there was strength in numbers. His eyebrows shot up at the open door. "The hell?" he murmured.

[xXSINXx]

Alexi then paused, seeing the open door. "Lets see if anything is around shall we?" she said before picking up a rock and tossing it at the door.

~CLUNK!!

The rock kit the door and fell on the ground. Alexi stood there, keeping her focus on the door. She listened closely, but nothing seamed to react. "So far so good." she said, taking another step towards the farmhouse.

This was too good to be true. An eerie open door, a hint of horrors to come maybe. Simply awesome. Seems like the place a psycho murderer would stay. Either that or there's noone there but still, at least Orion could see the fear on the others' faces. "Goodbye cruel world.... I'm leaving you today.... Goodbye... goodbye..... goodbye..." Orion sung darkly with thinly veiled mirth at the situation.
