After transferring my first character over here (Chris "Chassis" Loome) and receiving no interest in the character, I thought I'd take a new approach. Ladies and gentlemen, may I present Nikolas, a fighter with a completely different fighting style compared to Chris.
NIKOLAS
The Electro-Engineer
ABILITIES: Nikolas uses his life force as his main source of power for his immense, backpack-esque weapon, the Coil (two tesla coils jutting out of a large metal pack, wires running from the box into Nikolas's wrists). While this is extremely dangerous, it is also extremely powerful. Simple hand motions and punches can become electrified or have an effect that pertains to electricity. Abilities range from shields to projectiles as well as amplifications to his basic attacks. A wire is also attached to a simple longsword that he may charge and use to his liking. This is rarely used and is only ever unsheathed when it is absolutely needed.
WEAKNESSES: While Nikolas has incredible fighting potential, all of his ability comes from his Coil. Destroy that and he becomes a man with a sword. Rip the cables from his wrists and he will be left defenseless and in extreme pain. Each ability also fatigues him until he can no longer fight.
PERSONALITY: Nikolas is a very comical, sarcastic person who will make jokes, comical remarks and puns during a fight. This usually works against him but sometimes (very rarely) he gets his opponent to laugh. He is merciful; he will end a fight before his opponent dies then take them out for a drink if they aren't an asshole to him during battle.
APPEARANCE: Nikolas is a fairly young fellow (joined the wRHG at the ripe, young age of 22), and as such, is rather short. He stands at 5'6" normally and with the Coil is hunched very slightly into a 5'5" fighting stance of sorts. His hair is short yet thick, cut above his neck into a simple, unkempt hairstyle. He wears a black t-shirt and over it: a hooded jacket donning a picture of a lightning bolt. He also wears a pair of dark grey sweatpants, stained with grease and charred in some areas (mainly the lower legs).
BIO/STORY:Nikolas was born in a small, economically-down town to his parents, Marie and Issac Bakanowsky, in a small shed of a house near the center of the town "Weissberg". His mother died after birth and his father killed himself due to grief and a serious drinking problem short after. Because of this, Nikolas spent most of his time with the town's inventor, Ethan Chekov, who experimented with electricity; specifically, harnessing and controlling it through tesla coils. Nikolas participated in most of the inventor's experiments, some of which involved making modifications to Nikolas' body to make him more compatible with electricity. After many rounds of experiments and a finished invention, Nikolas and Ethan were called upon by esteemed inventor and doctor Lars Burlew-Ramses to accept a prize in their honor. However, instead of a welcoming committee waiting for them, there was only an ambush. Lars had devised a plan to steal the blueprints for Ethan and Nikolas' final product, the Coil, and kill them in the process. Nikolas became outraged at the mockery he felt radiating from the doctor as well as the sudden surrender that Chekov had so quickly put up. Nikolas switched on the Coil and began to fight. With his own strength and the sheer power of the Coil, Nikolas defeated the mercenaries hired to ambush him and killed the doctor, but in the process, killed Ethan Chekov as well. With nowhere left to go, an empty feeling in his mind and slew of bodies surrounding him, Nikolas waited. He stayed by Ethan's body for days, eating only what was around him: budding fruits and foliage were his main food source. Another important figure in a large military city just a few miles from his town, Juliana Destavola-Jacobs, had found Nikolas on her journey to another city-state and had taken him with her back to the city. Nikolas was kept in military housing for many years and a bond grew between him and the soldiers and generals. For many years, he was either with the troops or leading the troops into war, gaining respect and social status in the process. Recently, Nikolas had been given new orders from Dictator Juliana: join the RHG and control it in her name. Armed with the Coil, a broken past, devotion to the Dictator and a fighting spirit, Nikolas enters the wRHG, ready to conquer for his city-state.
