This is an RPG based on the Naruto anime/manga that’s created by Masashi Kishimoto. Everybody can join; the only requirement is that you have seen Naruto anime till Shippuuden or read the manga.
The story takes place approximately 200 years after Naruto´s death. A new generations of ninja are about to rise up and live their dream as a shinobi.
The Akatsuki organization was destroyed after a long hard battle with the allied shinobi forces. Since then an organisation that calls themselves “new akatsuki” has been formed and carried out seemingly random acts of guerilla warfare against the hidden villages, as of yet no one knows their goal. The five great villages remain independent, kept in check by the samurai of the iron nation, but the lesser villages has formed an alliance to combat the high influence and power of the great villages, this union is known as “the dawn of the greater shinobi force”, or “the dawn” for short.
For the past ten years Genin and Chuunin from all villages (big and small) have been disappearing. Some go missing while on mission, others leave their beds in the middle of the night, never to return. Sensor-shinobi are dispatched as soon as possible, but no trace of where these young ninjas go have yet been found. Sometimes the sensors or retrieval-teams are found dead.
Recently the five great villages devised a new system called Special Encounter and Tactical Unit (SETU) to strengthen their attack and defence against Akatsuki, the lesser hidden villages and other dangers of the shinobi world. The SETU system is an international team of 5 ninjas from different villages. We are going to play as a newly formed SETU-team.
A series of exams are given to weed out the weaklings from the strong and able.
The exam is held every 4 years, and for every exam, 2 SETU´s are created.
Participation is voluntary, but open only for gifted Chuunin. The system quickly became popular amongst the youth of the five villages. Many wanted to achieve the status of SETU-member and be recognized by the world. But the SETU teams are given only deadly mission with low chance of success. Failure might mean death.
I will GM this with my co-GM @Keanto
