What is the state of their RP servers? When I used to play, I decided to make a character for the RP server, no one wrote in character most of the time and when I typed in-character to some dude, he started insulting me then asked what an 'RP Server' was. It was like Runescape all over again.

They're very good, provided you're on one of the high-pop ones, as the low population is often what draws non-rp'ers to rp servers. The only exception to this rule is Moon Guard Goldshire.

I'm a regular on Moon Guard. Very good server, plentiful for RP, plenty of guilds with minimal drama. Quality is lacking these days, but it's still out there if you know where or how to find it. Having friends is important.

If you concern yourself with Goldshire and with what a bunch of strangers and off-server trolls are doing all the time instead of looking for the quality players, you'll never enjoy your stay on any server.
