Story

Vampires and Werewolves once lived together in peace on one condition werewolves do not mate with vampires and vampires do not mate with werewolves. One day a vampire fell in love with a werewolf. Despite the law in secreatcy they had two hybrid children. After 21 years the vampire and werewolf were found and killed. The children however were forced to leave by their parents. Now both girls return to their parents hometown only to find a war brewing between the two species. The girls must now try to stop this pointless war. So one claims to be a vampire while the other sister claims to be a werewolf, but can they fool everyone and stop this war before it starts or will they be caught and never stop the war?

Crimson

Sitting inside the Coven's Kingdom Library as the rain began to softly fall outside. Looking outside for a moment then darting her crimson red eyes away and turning back to her book as she finished looking at what she was working on. As lightning flashed she jumped pushing her chair against the book shelf behind her. Holding her chest she panted heavily then shook her head, "Get it out of your mind, Crimson. It's outside and your inside." Closing her eyes for a moment her cat Ban jumped into her lap and curled up purring softly. Gently she began to pet him as she closed her eyes and leaned her head back against the book shelf as she hummed softly.

Shadow

Shadow walked in the woods surrounding the village that was his home. Rain began to fall and then it was followed by lightning and thunder. "Well this is going to be one hell of a storm." Shaking his head he continued to walk his patrol. As he walked through the woods the rain began to fall harder. So stopping under a tree he shifted into his wolf form. Shaking out his fur he began to run finishing his patrol early. Once he got to his front porch he shifted back to his human form and walked inside grabbing a towel he had hanging by the door from when he had taken a shower before he went out, "Mmmm it's a down pour out there."

Iris

Iris was outside doing a patrol when the rain started to fall. Normally there were a few people who were out patrolling at the same time, so she wasn't surprised to see a few wolves run from the woods and shift to humans and dart into the cluster of houses that contained their pack. Most people shared a house with a few other, other than the Alpha male. Since he had yet to choose a mate, he was alone in his house, the largest of the grouping.

Iris lived with two other women, both of whom were notorious for not being home. Not that Iris minded... She just didn't understand why they hadn't moved out to live with their mates. That's how their little town had begun after all. As the wolves picked their mates they moved out and into an empty house to make a family. When their children grew up, they were given roommates and moved into whatever house was vacant and appropriate until they found their mate. Of course, Iris didn't mind it much though either. She'd get pretty bored if the girl's didn't live there, that was for sure.

She shifted back to a human and walked back to her house as the rain came down, enjoying the storm. She'd never been frightened of lightning or thunder, maybe it was because Crimson was so frightened of it... Even though, Iris was years younger in those hours of storms, it was almost like she became the big sister. She sighed and pushed the thought of her sister aside as it just made her miss her more and walked up the steps to her front door. She went to open it, only to find it locked and when she went to get her key... "Shit."

She groaned and leaned her head against the door, "Locked out..."

She sighed and turned around as she ran her hands through her short blonde hair that was sufficiently soaked and started to think about how she was going to break into her own house. She sighed and started to walk around the building looking for an unlocked or open window.

Leopold

Leopold sat in his study with his feet on his desk as he flicked through a few papers. Business... It was all really quite boring but it came with the title and the power. He removed his feet from the desk and sat forward before he signed off on the paper and moved it to the side of his bed. He stood and ran a hand through his hair as he exited his office and locked the door behind him. It was unlikely that anyone would go in there, since he had forbidden it and his word was not one easily crossed, but he liked to take precautions.

He made his way down the steps and to the library, there had been something he wanted to have prepared for what he needed to get done tomorrow. When he entered the large room, he found he was not alone. He quickly noticed Crimson, a rather new recruit to the coven sitting at a table. He walked in and looked out the window, "Seems like it is going to be quite the storm... It's going to smell like wet dog in the morning if the mutts got caught in it," He joked before walked over to one of the bookcases. He took a moment to search before he took a book off the shelf. He looked at Crimson again before he walked over to her and sat down on the corner of the table. He leaned over a little, leaning his hands in his lap, "And what it is that you are reading?" He asked politely.

Shadow

Shadow finally dried himself off and began to cook some bacon. As the bacon cooked he changed out of his wet clothes right fast in his bedroom. However before he could put on his muscle shirt he seen someone outside in the ran walking around on of the houses, "Damn those vamps. Don't they know not to break the treaty? Fuck." Draping the shirt over his shoulder he walked into his kitchen and turned off the stove and took the pan with the bacon off the hot iron. Opening his door he stepped out onto his porch growling deeply in his chest. By now the rain was really heavy, but still looking at the figure as the wind blew he caught the scent and realized it wasn't a vamp. It was one of his newbies, Iris. Blinking for a few minutes as he puzzled out why she was walking around her house. Then it clicked to him. The girls she lived with always complained about her scent. Shaking his head as he sighed heavily, "They must have locked the poor girl out."

Running his fingers through his raven hair he shook his head again then called out to her, "Hey, Iris! You get locked out? Come on over and dry off." Saying that he turned around and walked back into his home leaving his door opened for her to come inside. Going back to the stove he turned it back on and flipped the bacon. Once that side was cooked he added more in case if Iris was hungry too. As he cooked his shirt got in the way, so he tossed it over into one of the near by stools around his islander. "How many eggs do you want, Iris?"

Crimson

Crimson hadn't heard any movement in the Castle for some time, but as Leopold entered her eyes flew opened and she watched him carefully. As he made his joke she looked out the window and nodded in agreement. Again as he moved she watched him, but Ban jumped up onto the table as Leopold sat down. Looking at the book on the table she shrugged her shoulders, "Nothing really. Just a book on codes. Nothing fancy really." Grabbing the book before he could she closed it and put it away. As the lightning flashed she froze and closed her eyes tightly. Gently her body began to shake as Ban stood up and meowed softly at her. Turning her eyes to Ban she nodded and softly began to breath again, "Thank you, Ban. I have to constantly remind myself." Shaking her head she sat back down again gently picking up Ban and holding him close to her, "Why are you here, My Lord?"

Iris

Iris jumped when a voice suddenly joined the sound of rain pounding against the ground. She looked toward the Alpha's house and turned a little red, embarrassed about being caught locked out of her own house. However, the windows all seemed to be locked so unless she planned on breaking and entering into her own house, she didn't have much choice. Taking a deep breath, she ran to the Alpha's house. When she stepped inside she closed the door behind her. She was completely drenched as she stood there, dripping on his floor. She didn't move from the entrance way, not wanting to soak anymore of the Alpha's floor. She bit her lip when he asked about eggs, "One..." She said quietly deciding the taking the offer was more polite than refusing it.

She ran her hand through her hair again, pulling off of her cheeks where it was practically glued to thanks to the rain. Iris glanced at the Alpha male once more, "Thanks.... for letting me stay. The girls... They must have left and I forgot my keys... again...."

She ran her hand over her naked thigh as she stood there in shorts and a loose fitting shirt. The summer storm had disturb a nice day and left Iris in the predicament that she was wet to the bone and absolutely freezing. She seemed to be the only one though as Shadow stood at his oven without his shirt. Iris stared a little at his back, watching how the muscles moved before she quickly moved her eyes away. She moved her eyes else where and allowed them to drift to his head. His hair was wet which made her wonder if that was from a shower or the rain. She wrapped her arms around herself and shifted a little at her spot at the door, her shoes squishing as she moved, "Sorry for being such an inconvenience," She said quietly.

Leopold

Leopold couldn't lie, the fact that Crimson quickly stole it away before he looked at the book made him more curious about the contents. However, he dropped it when he noticed her react to the lightning outside. He glanced over his shoulder out the window and hummed slightly, ah the things he was learning. He brought his attention back to Crimson when she asked why he was here. He smiled, "Merely doing as one does when they go to a library," He rose the book in his hand, "I have to write to a few nearby coven leaders who don't think I am capable of my job. I figured it was best that I brush up on them all a little before I dive into that kind of work."

He stood and was about to leave the room when a thought struck him, "You should go to a windowless room if lightning scares you, Miss Crimson. Maybe not seeing it will help with your fear of it," He looked at her before he gave a curt nod and turned to leave.

Shadow

Shadow chuckled softly and shook his head as he fixed two eggs for her. As the eggs cooked he walked into his bathroom and grabbed a towel off the rack. Walking out he tossed it to her, "Dry off, so you can sit by the fire and warm up a bit." Hearing of how she was locked out he chuckled again and tended to the food, "Seems you may need to tie them to you, so you won't stay locked out."
After fixing her eggs he put them on a plate for her and sat the plate on the table then began to fix his own eggs. Letting his eggs cook he grabbed his shirt and put it on. Having fixed his eggs the way he likes them he sat down and began to eat. Looking her over as his coal eyes looked her over, "I might have some clothes you can borrow while yours dry by the fire. After all I pick up different things when on patrol. Check in the Guest Bedroom." He pointed to the door to the right of the Kitchen. "Your not a inconvenience. After all it's my job to take care of my pack. If I can't take care of my pack in every way then what kind of leader am I?"

Crimson

Crimson rolled her eyes as Leopold told her why he was there, "They should see it with their own eyes. After all from my point of view you seem to handle things well. Then again what do I know I'm not a leader I'm just a Guard here." Hearing his idea she closed her eyes and sighed heavily, "Don't call me 'Miss'. How many times do I have to tell you? As for a windowless room... The only place like that is my room and that's in the dungeons." Saying that she turned from the book shelf and headed for the door only to stop, "Ban, let's go." Meowing softly Ban followed after Crimson as she left the library and headed down to the Knight room.

Entering the Knight room most of the knights stopped in their tracks. Crimson looked around and growled low, "Don't stop just because I'm here." Walking over and grabbing her swords she walked into the training area with Ban hot on her heels.

Iris

Iris watched him as he walked into the bathroom before tossing her a towel. Catching it she gave him a grateful look and slipped out of her shoes to allowed herself to dry off a little. When it was just her clothes and hair that held most of the water she moved to the fire and closed her eyes as she felt the warmth lick against her body. She turned her back to it and held out her hands as Shadow spoke about the possibility of extra dry clothing that might fit her. She nodded her head and disappeared to find the guest room. When she reemerged she was wearing another pair of shorts as they were the only bottom that fit and a extremely large sweater that hid them. She pulled the sleeves up so that her hands could peak out before she laid is wet clothes all out. She slipped her bra under one of her shirts, she remained in her wet underwear though.

She walked over to the table and looked at the plate to see two eggs and laughed a little as she ran her hand through her still wet hair, "I said one," She teased before she sat and picked up her fork, "Thank you... You... really didn't have to do any of this... You shouldn't have had to do any of this... I shouldn't have forgotten my eyes," She sighed a little, "I swore they were in my pocket though..."

She shook her head before she looked up at the Alpha again, "Sorry... I'm rambling... You probably don't care..."

Leopold

Leopold smirked and laughed slightly as she complained about him calling her miss, "Quite a few more times, Miss Crimson. I do love watching how it makes you squirm."

He bowed his head to her before taking his leave from her and headed to his own rooms, and they were rooms. His quarters was more of an apartment than a bedroom. He ran his hand through his hair and walked over to the couch that sat in the middle of the room and took a seat on his. He kicked his legs up onto the arm over the couch and lounged as he started to flip through the book that he had gotten from the library. He hoped that it wasn't too dull...

Shadow

Shadow shook his head, "I know you said one, but what you don't eat you can take with you or have it later when you get hungry enough." Having eaten half of the food on his plate already he leaned back sighing softly and looked out the window. Looking to Iris he smirked softly, "Sorry I didn't have anything else to fit you better. Would you like something to drink?" Standing up and walking to his cup board he grabbed two glasses and filled one with water which he drank out of himself, "You know. I know your new still though not that new to the pack, but I'm surprised that you haven't found a mate yet." Watching her curiously as he leaned against the table top sipping on his glass of water.

Crimson

As Crimson was training she thought about the last thing Leopold said to her about the whole 'Miss' thing, "I do not squirm at him calling me 'Miss'. I just don't like it because I see no point in it when I am nothing and no one special." Slicing her sword through one of the dummies a fellow Guard chuckled behind her, "Really, so, My Lord, called you 'Miss Crimson' again didn't he?" Looking over her shoulder Crimson glared at him then growled low and soft, "Oh don't give me that look. You know I'm only teasing you. Besides I've heard several men around the Castle wouldn't mind changing that title to a 'Mrs. Crimson'."

"Then you can tell them all for me to give up the idea and go to hell. I'm dedicated to guarding this Castle and the Lord within." The guard chuckled again and shook his head as he pushed off the wall, "Well I hear the Lords of the other Castle's want, My Lord, to marry their Daughters. So soon it'll be the Lord and the Lady within." Sighing heavily she closed her eyes thinking of the idea then raising her swords she slashed the dummy in half, "Well I have no power over that."

"No, but your like the other women here and have feelings for, My Lord, in secret." Spinning around Crimson threw one of her knives that she always carried, but it grazed his head, "Get out of here or next time I won't miss." Smirking at her he nodded his head and left her in peace. Sighing heavily Crimson went back to training, but after a few more dummies she put her swords away and walked toward the Kitchen with Ban hot on her heels again.

Iris

Iris shook her head a little when Shadow apologized for not having something that fit her better, "No, really, it's fine. Look," She wiggled a little and tucked her legs into the sweater and smiled at him, "Perfect for warming a person trapped in the rain."

She continued to eat away at her food before nodding her head at his offer for something to drink, "Water would be great..."

She tucked a strand of wet hair behind her ear as he got them their drinks and started to make her way through her food. However, the moment he continued to talk, she nearly choked on her food from shock. She coughed a few times before looking up at him, "A mate..." She shook her head before looking back at her plate, "A mate is for life and I haven't found someone like that yet... I don't even think much of the pack likes me," She pushed her egg around a little with her fork. She had started to think that maybe she wasn't forgetting her keys but some sticky fingers were misplacing them. After all, her two roommates didn't seem to care much for her. She cleared her throat and laughed, changing the subject, "Besides, you are one to talk. Last time I checked you don't have a mate either and you've been here far longer than me, Alpha."

She finished off her first egg before turning in her seat a little to look at him, "Why is that?"

Leopold

It was sometime later than Leopold threw the book against the wall and rubbed his face. The histories of the covens were nothing but dull and filled with war. Something that had been absent in his own territory since he had taken over.... Something he was quite sure the other Lords were rather bothered about. He didn't understand how peace made him a bad leader. But in their eyes, it is a child's thought that peace could ever be sustained between the two species. Leo rolled his eyes at his own thoughts and stood.

He walked over of his room and to the dining hall in search of blood. The vampires weren't allowed to hunt humans, as part of the treaty with the wolves, because some of the wolves had fallen in love with the pathetic creatures... So, they resorted to hunting animals or drinking from the few humans that he kept on the land. Captured humans that he spoke to the Alpha about keeping. It was cruel of them to turn take away their very livelihood. Of course, only very very few got to drink from the neck of his humans. In fact, it was just himself when there were no visitors. He took a seat at the table and waved to one of the servants, "Bring in that young girl... I don't believe I've drank from her in sometime, she should be well enough now."

Shadow

Watching Iris only made him chuckle softly, "Ok, so you make a good point there. I'll give you that one." Then hearing she wanted a glass of water he filled the other empty glass with water and put it in front of her. Still watching her eat and drink and listening to her and everything else around them he started to think to himself and began to take in her features a little more carefully.

"Well that is true, but has the pack gotten to know the real you or the fake you?" Taking another sip of his glass it was his turn to almost choke, but finally gathering his baring's he sighed heavily and sat the glass down, "I had one long ago. However she died in the last war we had with our neighboring Vampires. She never wanted a fight really she wanted there to be peace amongst us. So despite the others and because of her sacrifice. I made a deal with the Lord of the Coven and we made peace. A few things didn't go my way, but a few didn't go his way either." Rubbing the back of his head he nodded, "Though your right. It is time I find me another mate. The issue is I'm picky. My last mate I chose because she was my best friend ever since I joined this pack. She always had my back and helped me train and grow stronger. Other than that I never thought of another because none knew me as well as she did."

Crimson

As Crimson entered the meal hall she heard Leopold's request and shook her head as she leaned against the frame of the door, "Don't you think you should do that in private, My Lord? I mean so it's not like your rubbing it in your followers faces?" Shrugging she pushed from the frame and walked past him and toward the kitchen as she spoke again and gently brushed some of her raven hair off her shoulder, "Though then again what do I care? It's really none of my business." Opening the kitchen door she stepped inside as Ban jumped into Leopold's lap and meowed at him.

Inside she watched as the servants got the girl Leopold summoned and made her a little more proper, but as she watched for some reason she grew angry and the fires of the stove began to react to her rage, "Crim, what has you so mad?" Hearing one of the cooks speak to her it brought her back to reality, "I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking." Shaking her head the fires died back down and a plate with two raw steaks were placed in front of her. Happily and hungrily she ate them then began to chew on the bone. Normally most would look at her as if it were odd, but she had explained to the cooks about her 'special' diet and they didn't mind it.

After some time had pass and she finished eating the meat and bones she sat sipping on a glass of tiger's blood thinking to herself about the book she was looking at earlier. "Ranks... However where does the Vampire line begin? Dracula is long since dead and most of those after him are too. So if I want to stop this war where do I begin?" The book she was looking at earlier was the Vampire's History book. Very old, but filled with everything she might need to know. Though then again there wasn't much of anything new it taught her.

Iris

Iris sipped at her water, slightly ashamed that she had asked him why he didn't have a mate... Or more so, why he no longer had a mate. She lowered her legs out from under her sweater and moved her glass to her lap, staring at the water, "Sorry... I didn't know."

She took a deep breath and figured it best to go back to the question he had just asked rather than prying about his dead lover. She brushed another strand of hair out of her face, "And.... Um... harsh... That was a little harsh, my feelings have been properly hurt. Good to know that everyone does hate rather than it all just being in my head," She sighed and looked out the window. She had ignored it before but she could see lights in her house, shadows walking through the rooms. Her roommates were home... They were just keeping her out. She took a deep breath and looked back at Shadow, "It's the real me... Everything I've said since the moment I got here... has been the real me... one hundred percent the truth."

Okay, maybe not one hundred percent but everything did have a truth in it. I'm a werewolf. Half a werewolf. My family was killed. Well, my parents... my sister is fine, in fact she currently living at Coven and we are working toward peace... She sighed, "So... everyone just hates... me."

She took another sip of her water. She wouldn't admit it without the humor but that really did hurt. She was here because her sister was at the Coven and she hoped she could help these people... However, she didn't want to live her life hated by the very same people. She put down her glass as she felt a stinging feeling in her eyes and stood, pushing more hair out of her face, "I should go... I probably won't be getting into my house tonight... I should go find somewhere to sleep... Thanks again for the food and water and dry clothes," She walked over to the fire placed and gathered her slightly damp clothes in her arms, "It was nice to get out of the rain for a little while..."

Leopold

Leopold smirked as he heard Crimson's voice carry through the dining room as she informed him of her opinion. He looked at her, "Well, Miss Crimson, I work hard for my followers. I believe I've earned the luxury to drink from a human in the dining room, don't you?"

He watched her as she walked into the kitchen before his attention was pulled away by the sudden presence of a cat on his lap. He looked down at Ban rather quizzically and smiled, "And here I thought you never left the girl's side."

He took the cat into his arms as he stood. Shifting Ban into one arm, he wrapped the other around the girl's shoulders. He brought his fangs to her neck and bit down. The girl gasped as her eyes glazed over. A vampire bite released certain endorphins to make the experience of death a little more pleasurable for the one dying. Also, it was so nice not to have to fight with your dinner all the time. This girl had long since been addicted to those endorphins and came willing whenever called upon.

Finishing, he released her and waved for the servants to take her away. He then walked to the kitchens and opened the door, "Miss Crimson, I do believe I have a friend of your's."

Shadow

Shadow smiled softly at her, "Don't be sorry. You didn't know, but now you do besides it was long ago." Following her gaze to the window he seen the rain had stopped and her room mates were home, but hearing her speak again about the pack hating her and about it all being the real her he felt ashamed and sighed heavily, "Well for whatever reason they don't see the woman I see. Plus not the entire pack hates you they just don't know you. In time that will all change once they are given the chance to get to know you is all." Seeing her gather her clothes he shook his head, "It's suppose to rain again. I'll fix up the Guest bedroom and you can sleep there. Tomorrow we'll both go have a little chat with your room mates. Besides by now they should be with their mates, so you can have a little peace."

Not waiting for her object to what he said he walked over to the Guest bedroom and began to fix the clothes that were piled onto the bed, so they wouldn't be in the floor or in the way either, "Here you go. You patrol in the morning correct?"

Crimson

Looking at the door as it opened up. Everyone froze in their tracks except for Crimson. Turning her attention to the table as Leopold spoke to her, "He doesn't always have to stay with me. Besides he seems to like you, My Lord, and didn't I ask you not to call me that?" Growling low and deep in her chest her gaze turned to him as she narrowed her crimson eyes, "I am nothing and no one to you or anyone else, so stop giving me a title of any kind."

"Crimson, enough. My Lord, forgive her please?" As she was spoken to by one of the servants she stood up and growled more and louder, "I know what I'm talking about. I'm of no importance, so why can't he call me Crim or Crimson like everyone else does?" Sighing heavily she closed her eyes and sat down again as she wrapped her arms over her head. Ban looked at Crimson and meowed at her then looked back at Leopold and meowed again. Shaking her head after a few minutes she lowered her arms, but kept her eyes closed, "Forgive me... All of you... I don't know what's wrong with me today."

Iris

Iris opened her mouth to object and tell him that she was fine with sleeping in the rain. If anything, she'd find a cave or a hollow in a trees roots. She could shift too, it wouldn't be so bad. However, he wasn't having any of that before he walked into the guest room and cleaned in up for her. She held her things in her arms and looked at him when he turned to face her again, "Y-yes... But um..." She bit her lip and cast down her eyes, "Could you... not talk to my roommates? I... feel like the Alpha having a little chat with them... because of me won't make things much better."

She took a deep breath and neatly put her things down. Her fingers moved to the bottom of the sweater, which looked more like a dress than anything else, "I really am sorry... About all this..." She ran her hand through her slightly drying hair and smiled at him, "Alpha's duty or not, I still feel like a nuisance..."

She licked her lips a little before looking up at him, "Is there anything I can do? To properly thank you, Alpha?"

Leopold

Despite everyone's seeming fear to first himself and later to Crimson's reaction, he seemed rather amused. He looked at her when she apologized and stepped forward, "Everyone within these walls are of great importance to me, Miss Crimson. It is why I refer to all the ladies as Miss and all the men as Mister, just as you all refer to me as Lord. It is a sign of respect," He handed Ban to her, holding her gaze, "Without a King people are lost, without people there is no king. You all mean very much to me. However, if the title does bother you that much... I suppose I can call you Crimson."

He looked around to the kitchen staff, "Well? As you were."

The kitchen burst back to life as Leopold turned and left the room.

Shadow

Softly Shadow chuckled, "Well to be honest with you, Iris. I'm not wanting to talk to them about you. That was going to be a added on thing, but if you wish I leave that out then so be it. However they do have mates of their own and it is high time that they move in with their mates to make room for those that are new and younger. Plus I'm getting tired of listening to them make so much noise at night." Looking out the window toward the house as he could hear laughter coming from it and he just shook his head.

Running his fingers through his hair he looked at Iris, "Your not a nuisance, so get that out of your mind. Your Family, so as Family we take care of one another. If you really want to thank me then I guess you can start with doing the dishes and let me get to know more about you. If you don't mind that is? All I know is what you told us after we found you."

Crimson

Gently as she took Ban and her gaze locked with his she listened to him and nodded as her way of thanking him, but as he turned to leave without thinking she grabbed his hand, "Leo, wait." Blinking as Ban crossed from Crimson's shoulder to Leopold's she released his hand and stepped back looking away from him, "Forgive me, My Lord... Um I was just going to ask if, Ban, could go with you for now. Seems he likes you and maybe he can keep you company? After all every time I see you... Well doesn't it get lonely at time?" Softly she smirked then shook her head, "If you don't want him to go with you though just put him on the ground and tell him to find me. He always knows I'm in the library, dungeons, or training." As she had spoke she walked back to the table and grabbed her glass. Now she finished it and put it into the sink then walked to the door, "In fact I think I'll go to the library now unless you need me for anything, My Lord?"

Iris

Iris nodded her head when he offered her something to do to make it up to him, "Dishes... I can do that and... Getting to know me, sounds like a rather easy way to make it up to you... I suppose just ask away," She smiled, "Besides, I haven't got anything to hide."

She turned out of the room and took a deep breath as she headed into the Kitchen. She had plenty to hide but she could avoid those answers because he wasn't going to ask for them. She walked over to the kitchen sink and rolled up her sleeves to her elbow. She started to clean the pan that he had used to make the eggs and bacon. She looked over her shoulder at him, "So... What do you want to know about me?"

Leopold

Leopold stopped when he felt fingers wrap around his hand. He turned to look at Crimson as she apologized to him for stepping out of line. He smiled at her and nodded his head, "I can do that."

He picked up Ban and held the cat in his arms, holding him up to his face. He looked in the cat in the eye and nodded once more, "Yes, he will make a good friend," He looked at Crimson and smiled, showing off his faces. He brought the cat to his chest, "Alright, I'll trust him to find you. If you want to come and find him, I'll be in my room," He thought about it for a moment, "Just ask a guard where it is and they'll show you."

He bowed his head slightly, "Goodbye... Crimson."

Shadow

Following behind her out of the room, but as she went to the kitchen he went and picked up the newspaper for the day, "Well to start with do you have any sibilings?"

Crimson

Nodding to him she looked at Ban, "You know your job, so if you need me you know where to find me. Don't leave his side, Ban." Ban just meowed at her as she turned and headed out of the dinning hall.

Walking to the Library she grabbed the book she had earlier and sighing heavily she opened it up and looked over it again, "Damn this is going to drive me crazy." Shaking her head she began to read again making all the connections of the royals, but as she continued reading she stopped and sat up, "Holy..." Looking up from the book she looked at the portrait of Leo and her mouth dropped, "He's the heir to THE Dracula."

Iris

Iris took a deep breath when Shadow asked her about siblings.... that was one way to ruin her whole plan about not lying. Sure, she told half truths but she hadn't flat out lied to anyone. She scrubbed the pan and nodded, not looking at him, "I did... A sister. We... got separated before I came here. Last time I saw her.... she was surrounded by vampires, telling me to run."

Running the pan under the water to wash away the suds, "I haven't seen her since."

She placed the pan down in the rack to dry and walked over to the table, gathering their plates. She looked at her egg and pursed her lips before looking through his cupboards. When she found a container, she put the egg in it and then the fridge. She turned back to the plates and began to wash them, "Next question?"

Looking over some papers he listened to her, but hearing what she said about her Sister grabbed his attention. Seeing she was obviously distressed about it something told him not to press the matter, so he dropped it for now, "I see. I am sorry. So who was the oldest, you or her?" Watching her he hoped that wasn't a bad question to ask.

As she put the food away he tilted his head curiously then shook his and returned to his papers looking them over and making sure all was in order. Seeing the price of the food and items that were recently bought he shook his head again, "Damn it. They keep this up and we might as well be hunting from now on."

Iris

Iris was getting increasingly more uncomfortable as he asked the next question, again about her sister. She took a deep breath, "Crimson was... By two years..." She shook her head, she hated having to talk about her in past tense. She wasn't gone. Iris knew exactly where she was, in fact the two of them had be in contact quite frequently.

Which is why the moment that Shadow mentioned the price of food, she quickly latched onto the topic. She put her plates down to dry before drying her hands and walking over to him. She took a seat next to him, "May I?" She said as she took the papers from him. She pursed her lips looking over them. She had helped her dad with this kind of thing when it was just the four of them... It was on a far smaller scale but she was pretty good at it. She hummed for a moment before looking at him, "Well, why not hunt? I mean, you have meats listed here but we could easily take down a deer and that could last us a good," She thought about it, "Portioned properly probably three days. If you set up regular hunts... twice a week and all caught game are evenly distributed between the pack that is a major cost already off the list."

She continued to look at the list, "And we could probably grow our vegetables during the spring and summer. Maybe make it a whole new job for people. After all, I've seen a few of the warriors who could probably excel growing over fighting. Then it would just be a matter of buying fruits throughout the year and then vegetables throughout the fall winter months."

She handed him back that papers and smiled, "After all, there is nothing wrong with living off the land."

"So you are the younger one. Interesting. On what you have just shown me, said to me, and done for me I would think you are the eldest if not at least a twin." Shadow smirked softly as he looked over the papers and nodded in agreement to what she said about the farms and the hunting, "I agree with all you have said, but there is a few issues." Grabbing another piece of paper which was titled budgets, "We need the money to begin the farms then to top that off we have to make sure that we do not kill all of the animals. There are few now, but there is a lot of boars in the forest, so they will last us for a month or two at least." Nodding again he looked at her smiling, "Thank you, so where and how did you learn to do all of this?"

Crimson

Slamming the book shut Crimson put the book away and sighed heavily, "Damn it! Why did it have to be him?" Growling deeply she closed her eyes and rested her head on the book shelf as she began to calm she began to think of a way to talk to him, "I have to see if there is or will be a way to make peace." Turning she left the library and made her way to Leo's Study.

Reaching Leopold's Study she sighed heavily then knocked on the door. Listening she heard Ban meow at the door, which made her smile gently. Clearing her throat she sighed softly to calm her nerves, "M'lord Leopold? It's Crimson. Might I come in for a moment?"
