Moans drift across the henge as the gathered planeswalkers wake to a bright morning sun. The bright light burns the eyes at first, though it lessens as the eyes become accustomed to the light. Heads throb throughout the group, perhaps the only thing these planeswalkers share, but no there is another thing that binds them, and they all know it. They are all from the same plane, one that has vanished completely. Who, why, and how this happened is a mystery to the gathered planes walkers. There does't appear to be anyone else around, though the woods are thick not far beyond the henge, so who can say for sure?

Mot woke quickly, and wished he hadn't. The throbbing was debilitating and he did his best to push it to the back of his mind and was mostly successful. He listened carefully, but heard little besides the groans of those around him. Carefully, he rose, using part of the henge to steady himself with one hand, while the other made certain the his mask was in place, which it was, and then he pulled the cowl of his cloak up over his head. He shifted his feet, stumbling into the shade of a lentil, sometimes the heavy black cloak was a disadvantage, such as now. The light breeze did little to soothe the stifling heat of radiating from his own cloak and he wondered just how long they'd been laying there. Mot put his back to the stone he was leaning on, his legs still stiff, and gazed across the henge at the gathered plainswalkers. He didn't recognize any of them, but something told him that he could trust them and he didn't doubt it.

From the lower branches of a tree not too far away, a goblin peered through heavy foliage, trying to see what lay within the henge, but not daring to move any closer or make a sound lest he draw attention to himself. Instead, after a few moments, it slid around the trunk, and then climbed down the tree, and stole quietly away before those gathered could gather to much of their wits for the throbbing recesses of their minds.

Photina awoke with a headache throbbing. Ugh, what ever did I do to deserve this? I was trying to heal someone's wounds. Everything went bright. What is this place? Seeing someone else up, she arose slowly, making sure to not make the headache worse. "Excuse me," Photina politely aimed her greeting at the standing male, "do you know where we are?" She notices all of the others around her, all groaning from, supposedly, the same or similar headache Photina had been subject to. She decided on making the best of it by trying to heal them. I don't have the power to heal all these people... At least, not quickly...
Pushing away her negative thoughts, she decided to find a small spell to heal the other upstanding planeswalker. She took a second to remember a grassy forest she had visited when she learned to heal using nature's power. She minorly healed the standing planeswalker and rested. That took too much energy after having just awoken, but kept herself from falling over. Photina stretched her wings out and tried to fly, but was too sore to get more than half an inch off the ground before being unable to continue from fatigue. With that, Photina decided to start walking, slowly, towards the standing planeswalker.

Victoria awoke with a jolt. Without thinking she shot a spell of lightning into the air above her. It struck one of the stones of the hedge and bounced harmlessly but threateningly to another. The stone was not harmed but blackened by the heat. She slowly rolled over onto her stomach. She rose to her knees while holding her head. She was dizzy and confused. While she had been drinking recently, She knew she had not drank enough for this. As her managed to obtain her balance, she looked around her. Spotting several beings were around her. Varying in race and make. Friends or Foe it mattered little to her. Two were awake, more asleep. The two awake had the advantage over her. The fact displeased her.

Victoria stood up on her feet and takes a few steps back away from any nearest person. She watched and observed everything and everyone around her. Her left hand pulled her white cloak over her while her right rested comfortably on her dagger.

As the angel rises and stumbles my way my headache fades away, though it was obviously at some cost to herself. And then lightning is bouncing around, and I duck reflexively but it bounces off the stones relatively harmlessly. It's caster however was rather blearily standing while eying him warily. That amused him, did she think she'd have been given the chance to rise if he'd wanted her dead? Oh well, if she had anything close to the headache he'd had moments ago, thinking straight would be difficult even if it usually came naturally, which might not be true in either of the other two's cases. Mot held out an arm, for the angel to steady herself on, while he spoke to the wary woman.

Peace child, if we meant you harm, you'd never have woken. let your lack of bindings and state of health speak for our intension's. None of us are here at our own behest, and none of us can go back.

Mot takes a moment and decides that having some mana on hand might be useful if anyone else woke up ... violently. Closing his eyes he recalls with a grim smile, hidden by his mask, the deep swamp where he first learned to summon the guardian's he'd become so fond of, and then opening his eyes he summons one of Oona's Guardians and bolsters it with the ever useful Skeletal Grimace. He hoped he'd have time to summon the cultist if things got nasty, but knew doing so now would be provocative and so opted for the obviously defensive move.

Teysa the Chaotic Resurgent

Wakie Wakie, Eggs and Bacy

She had been particularly enjoying a good nap beneath the soothing warmth of the sun until lightning crackled and broke through the air directly into the mountainside beneath her. Sharply, a pair of ruby red draconic eyes would open as the vertical pupils narrowed upon the source. From a distance, she could easily grasp the fact that the gathered group was ill at ease, and displeased with what had happened to them.

So was she, this agonizing headache wasn't helping any. Aside that, the Dragon spread the magnificence that was her wings wide as she dove from the cliff top. With a monstrous size that rivaled the mountainside that she had leapt from, as she got closer, the draconic plainswalker swiftly shrunk into a humanoid state.

Even though the crown of her being, two long horns from her crown emblazoned in gold and sweeping back into the maddening thickness of her red hair, still very much remained. The mark of her species, her pride in being who and what she was. Sweeping the translucent cloak of crimson behind her, the Dragon strode to curiously watch the two others who had woken sort out their difference.

If they would sort them out at all, that is.

Photina noticed the bolt, but merely flinched. The headache and fatigue was wearing on her reflexes as well. She turned to the caster, noticing the man's intent in speaking, and joined him, saying "aye, dear. If we meant harm, we would have already been inflicting it. I'm a healer anyway. Do you have any wounds needing to be tended to? It would take but a few seconds to conjur the mana needed to heal you. As a show of good faith, I shall greet first. Now," turning so that either 'walker was to either of her sides, and raising her hands in surrender, but remembering an open field where she learned of the Samite people, who were very apt healers, so she could summon one
"I have a healer I can summon. My name is Photina, and I am a travelling healer of sorts. Known in some parts as 'The Kind Stranger'. I'm going to summon my healer now." Lowering herself to the ground, she touched it, creating a circle which contained part of a plain on the ground. One of the Samite people appeared in a shower of light, to which the portal closed.
"Sir, please prevent damage from the lass over there, please." The healer nodded back to her. "He cannot directly heal wounds, but can prevent them. I'm summoning him as a guard for your protection as a benevolent sign." The angelically ascended woman then smiled warmly at the female, with a hint of wariness, purely due to uncertainty.

Fiora, The Chains of the Sea

With a bang, Fiora woke from the ground and stood up, silently looked at the others in the room, definitely being planeswalkers but it didn't matter at the moment as she needed to assess her situation. The painful throbbing in her head can wait for latter, as she pulled her cloak over her head and then pulled a scarf to cover the majority of her face leaving only her eyes to be seen. She although being merfolk, her time on land she had grown adapted to the modesty of the races that had lived on the land, adopting some of the clothing to make her look less of a sore-thumb. She looked at her 'companions' as she silently observed them, deeming that two of them were at least decent enough to trust, especially the Healer. The Dragoness was an intimidating individual but in a match of smart and wits she could probably win, but she wouldn't chance that and either way the girl was on her side for now. Then there was the problem of the two shady individuals who she knew could never be up to any good, and placed a mental note to keep her guard up.

With nothing better to do, she closed her eyes, before she gently pulled in the strings of energy that she could feel pulling in the light that touched everything in its kingdom and water from nearby that she wished she could disappear in. She took her time collecting the energy of the land that was unfamiliar to her, recognizing the feel of the energy of this plane before casting her spell. The space around her hardening before a barrier was formed that would protect her from damage, and friendly fire... Feeling decent enough she let her guard down slightly for the mean time and watched the other planeswalker interact with each other, keeping to herself.

Mot looked around and realized that things weren't going to get started all on they're lonesome. So he pushed himself off the stone he'd been leaning on and began the introductions.

Most call me Dread Cultist Mot. Whatever I was before today, I stand now changed. I seek to regain the plane that was taken from us, or if that should fail, to take recompense from the fool that stole it from us. I will use whatever force, tact, or scheme is necessary to achieve my goal. I do not ask you to follow me, or even to work with me, only that you would not stand in my way. I have no wish to cause any harm to any of you, the only beings left of the plane I call home. Will anyone here stand between me and my goal?

Photina turned to the one calling himself the 'Dread Cultist'. "Nay sir, I would only seek to aid anyone who wishes to regain a place we had in common, yet lost. I would join you. I also wish for my home plane back. I wish no one harm, less they threaten to harm any ally of mine." Photina looked around, checking for hostilities betwixt those gathered tween the stones. Then, focussing intensely, she then remembered an island she knew of that had to be crossed by four miles or so of natural grass-seas, with not but a handful of trees to be seen. It was there that she remembers the call of the birds. After taking a dozen or so seconds to backtrack to the island in memory, Photina summoned four birds to scout in the local area. "These birds will help us see things. They will report back to us and we can find a path to travel on after that." The birds flew in four, seemingly cardinal, directions. Scouting almost a mile in each direction. This summoning truly drained Photina to the point of almost collapsing. With that, she sat down instead. "So what are the names of you all?" the healer politely inquired, adding "I know you now, Sir Mot."

Victoria looked at the angel with suspicion in her eye. She really did what to smite her summoned familiar. She did not need help especially not from an angel. The angel said it was a sign of good faith and Victoria herself could see the creature did not have the strength to kill her. Still, Victoria did not understand it. She wanted to reject it but she did not know how the angel would react.

Maybe she would have acted if a dragon did not wing its way into the group. It shrank to a more manageable size which Victoria took as a courteous gesture. She liked dragons more than angels. At least you know if a dragon is angry with you. That dragon retained some pride with that headdress of hers. Victoria was almost jealous of the dragon's humanoid looks. She knew it was an illusion but still.

Continuing to try to ready the planeswalker and situation, Victoria noticed the merfolk stand. Merfolk or mermaid she thought which was the polite term. The fish had the same attitude as her about the others. Defenses first, just the field, and maybe kill everyone. If the merfolk was smart enough to think like Victoria, Victoria knew she would be just as much of trouble.

When the being calling himself the dread cultist Mot spoke, Victoria's attention immediately focused on him. Trying to sound angry and annoyed Victoria addressed him, "Dread Cultist, Why do you care so much about that worthless place. You are a planeswalker no? There are plenty of space to call your own on a infinite numbers of world. Why should I give my concern to it? Who took the plane?"

Mot noticed the arrival and actions of the others, and appreciated the general caution of the group, and more specifically the distinct lack of aggression. Mot nodded his thanks to the angel, though he was somewhat dubious of having her along, he wasn't about to say no to anyone willing to aid him. The birds would be nice, though he wished she'd stop spending so much of her self for the group, that hadn't even decided what to do about each other. He decided to be ready to do what he could defend the angel, or at least lash out at any rash attackers, since defense wasn't something he did well. He thought back to the time he'd spent on the Isle of Drexlrun, a dismal place almost always covered in fog, but also a cool place that Mot had enjoyed immensely. He did not spend his mana yet, that would come later, if at all. He really hoped to avoid a fight, but he wasn't about to get caught flat footed if one broke out.

Then he heard a voice and opened his eyes looking directly at the speaker. So the little girl had the gall to be both suspicious and arrogant, that suited Mot just fine, he liked reminding the arrogant of their weaknesses, but this one would have to wait, there were other things to be seen too. Starting a duel here and now would accomplish nothing and waste much. She wanted his motives, and hadn't bothered to even manufacture a name, very well, let's see if she really knows what she wants and just how bad she wants it.

I do not care about you and your petty whims little girl, until you make the mistake of trying to get in my way. If you do not care who took the plane, that is your business, and so long as you cause me no trouble you may go and make yourself queen of the plane if you so desire. It will not cause me even a second thought. To answer your first question, little girl, I mind the lack of a plane much less than I mind the fact that someone apparently thinks that they can steal something from me and get away with it. Does that satisfy you little girl?

He might have used her name, if she had given one, but she hadn't. Every time he addressed her specifically, his tone belied a sneer of contempt behind his mask. Mot was not the least bit worried about this girl and her suspicions, if she wanted to be left alone that was her problem and he was quite happy to oblige her. Mot turned his masked face towards the other two, who had not yet spoke and awaited their reply, ignoring any response from the little girl that came short of an outright attack.

In the surrounding woods
The birds had been unexpected, Grud hoped he hadn't been noticed. His scout had reported a number of viable creatures in the area, and he'd come to see for himself. He hadn't expected a planeswalker, that would fetch a pretty price indeed. He slipped away quietly, avoiding the birds as well as he could. He'd need help for this job, and he new just who to get.

Teysa - Impudence

Passively, the Dragon watched onward as the tensions grew. It was rather remarkable to watch, the inherent conflict that seemed to rise with those of differing opinion. Even of those differences themselves seemed to inconsequential. Needless to say, she wasn't pleased when others summoned defenses and the like out of supposed good faith between one another. If one were in good faith, then defenses wouldn't need to exist in the first place, just like how she had not summoned a single minion in the myriad that had occurred.

Yet once one summoned birds that took to the heavens for the purpose of scouting their surroundings, the Dragon understood the wisdom of such. Like the other, she too summoned a quartet of birds, though these were far different than the other's. Within the splendor of their plumage, there was all the colors of the world as they took to the sky. Sweeping in the halves of the direction that the polarities of the other had not, their concise eyes searched the sky and ground alike.

Then she saw him, through the eyes of one bird she saw a lurking shadow. One who was stealthily doing their best to sneak away, yet once the feathered creature she controlled caught him with their avian eyes, they did not lose them.

"Grand." The dragon spoke softly, yet the presence of her voice seemed to reverberate through the air. Down to the very souls and bones of every plainswalker that stood nearby.

"Your squabbling has allowed someone to observe us and try to sneak away, mortals." She then uttered scathingly, as the skies above seemed to darken and rumble ominously with foreboding thunder. The crimson core of her eyes seemed alight with fire as she strode away from them, until they heard him long before they saw him.

"Come to me, my little broodling. You know your purpose."

Jagged lightning arced through the blackness of the clouds as the Dragon continued to walk towards the forest line where the man had fled. Behind her, from atop the mountains, massive talons shredded stone as a large blackened form plunged through the blackness of the thunderstorm clouds. With a savage, monstrous roar that caused the heavens and earth to shudder, a Hellkite with lightning seeming to crackle from it's wicked looking maw swept over the plainswalkers as it tore across the skies towards its objective.

Trees were collapsed and crushed as the monstrous Dragon landed upon the ground, causing it to shudder as it came to stand intimidatingly before Grud. A roar that caused even more trees to snap and shatter as lightning arced through them and across the ground in front of the peculiar man who had tried to steal away undetected.

Not long after the creature landed, he would hear a voice behind him. Grand, powerful, and magnificent all the same. A voice that belied a much larger and terrifying form as she calmly spoke to him.

"What brings you here, mortal? Why do you trouble me with your meager presence?"

Photina was at a loss for words when she heard "Your squabbling has allowed someone to observe us and try to sneak away, mortals." Thinking that this was no group purposefully put together, the angel responded "Madam, we are not yet collecti-" at that point, thunder silenced her. She saw as the previously silent being summoned a large draconic creature from over a distant mountain. Photina had no words. The summoned beast swooped over and seemed to be targeted on something in the distance.

The only report Photina got back from her birds were that there were movements in the bushes around the stone circles. "Sir Mot, do you have any idea where we are to go? I see she" motioning to the lady who had summoned the draconic being "has found something of interest in that direction. Do you wish to follow suit or would you prefer another way?"

It really did not Victoria the answer this Mot gave. He failed to answer the only question that mattered: Who took the plane? Anyone that powerful needed to be dealt with. They threatened the natural order of things. How they did it? Why? These were the questions that Victoria was thirsty to know. And she wanted as much blood as possible to find out the answers. She could tell the masked man before her was not one to give answers freely. She might have said something more to the man but the dragoness took her attention.

The dragon had summoned another being. Unlike the angel, this one looked like it could do some damage. Her actions evoked the self-righteous anger she learned on the plains as a youth. This dragon had just attacked a person with out provocation. Maybe things were different in the eyes of the dragon, but being looked at by another is not a cause worth killing for. "What in Grixis are you doing, Dragon? You have the audacity to attack a bystander of the plane without cause? You are just begin to being a hornet's nest down on our head. I have no reason to be associated with you. Acting for the whole group here was not asked for." Victoria said anger. She prepared herself for a fight with the dragon. She could not allow the dragon to kill without cause. She might have no moral compass but this gave planeswalkers a bad name.

Grud, the Goblin

Grud cowered as the very forest around him shook and gave way to a massive being. He scrambled backwards, until he heard another voice behind him. Turning he saw the source of the voice, though it seemed much to small to be the source, but it clearly wasn't afraid of the dragon behind him. Grud didn't understand a single word spoken to him, whether out of fright or ignorance, is not immediately apparent.

Dread Cultist Mot

Well... that wasn't entirely surprising, considering that a dragon had landed not far from where a lightning bolt had risen from the ground to the mountain above, being observed was a thing that was highly likely. He only wondered if there were others observing, and guessing that even if there were none now, there would be more soon. Speaking to the angel beside him, he reluctantly followed the dragon and the feisty little girl. He had to give her that much, few could stand up to a dragon, and she was certainly confident in her ability to handle herself.

As much as I would like to leave those two behind, I do not have a clear understanding of where we are, and I suspect that following along will answer that question more quickly than any other path. So for now, let us remain one group, however divided our loyalties may be.

Mot wondered what the Mermaid thought about all of it, but she had remained quite silent and aloof of the proceedings. As he thought of her, he remembered the first time he'd met a merfolk, and the Island on which it happened. As Mot mooved the summoned Gatewarden buzzed through the air just over head, it's hair thickening into writhing strands, as he enchanted her with Aspect of Gorgon. He wanted to be ready for whatever attention the dragon's ... blatantly overt actions had drawn. He also took a moment to review his inventory of spells readied, and noticed he had an abundance of sorceries, but a distinct lack of creatures to attack with. That could be problematic.

Teysa - Chaotic Resurgent

The tiny humanoid cowered before the Hellkite and Plainswalker alike, and Teysa observed its next actions intensely. Closer inspection revealed the mottled green skin, shorter stature, and pointed ears of a Goblin, and the Dragon smirked slightly. A casual show of the subtle arrogance that she possessed, but little else than that. First however, she would remove the monstrous dragon that had caused so much fear.

"Begone for now, little broodling. I will call upon you again soon, say hello to the others for me, won't you?"

Nobly, the wicked looking Hellkite sat proudly upon the earth, towering over all that stood before it as with a wave of her hand, the Dragoness dismissed him. Akin to the sands of time that she had pulled him through, the monstrous creature dissipated into dust and scattered into the air.

One of the beautifully colored Birds of Paradise however, landed upon an outstretched arm. It was a large aviary species, almost as tall as the rainbow colored tail it possessed was long. Smoothly, she strode towards the Goblin that cowered before her until the sudden self-righteous intervention came from her flank in the form of a child. Well, a child in comparison to the division of ages, this one was young, very young, and very disrespectful to the ancient one that stood before her.

Instead of giving her the time of day, the Dragon only offered an apathetic glance to the girl before finishing the matter at hand. Ignoring her completely. Sliding to sit on her knees before the goblin, a gentle, but overwhelmingly powerful fingertip gently extended forward to caress him beneath his chin. It was not cruel, or harsh, but it was gentle, reverberating with wondrous warmth.

Goblinspeak was a language she had learned eons ago, during an age where the scurrying little mountain dwellers had worshipped her and her ilk as Gods and Goddesses. The short, sharp, and almost gibberish sounding tongue reached his ears.

Behind her, the Cultist also spoke, but even then she still paid him little heed. Only a glance before she talked with the little terrified one.

"Now now, little one. Speak to me, I lend you my ears as a former Goddess amongst people of your kind. Where am I?"

Fiora sighed as she stood from where she was, everyone in this group was simply horrible in their own ways but so far the most rational one was the cultist. In all odds, he was the most likely to escape unharmed besides the dragon if she didn't get herself trapped somehow but it wouldn't had been surprising if she did. She had followed the other two rouges silently as she was experimenting with the land's green magic until they reached the mountains before sighing.

Messing around with green mana was fine for Fiora, but red magic was a no, no, it had explosive properties when she had tried on using it and in the end, only hurt herself. It was an annoying experience for her at least, as she preferred some where there was water, perhaps some grass like before or even a nice town. Instead, they were heading through the mountains to find a dragon... Who can fly! In reality, she needed more monster so she could make them be better suited as transportation. She had the spells necessary for such actions however, she lacked the suitable monsters for such actions. So while she had the time, she was collecting her mana in preparation, and was fine with the protection from her enchantment she had surrounding her. She only hoped it was enough as, she would need to gather her mana for her next spell in the mountains where blue mana seemed less in her opinion. White mana was easier, she guessed to collect in the mountains than previously in the green lands behind them.

When she was satisfied with the amount of mana she had collected, she was fine with the small amount of blue mana she had, along with some white mana and held onto it before focusing on the journey now. Which what she needed the most as when she was distracted, a gatekeeper was summoned most likely from the male rouge, as the other was still steaming ahead of the group. If she wanted... no, she didn't want to increase the strength of the rouge's monster unless it was needed. So, she continued the journey with the group staying in the back and watching behind them in case of anything suspicious or odd.

Grud, the Goblin

The woman spoke again, and the dragon vanished, she must be a goddess! Ha! She even admitted it! Wait, where was here? He'd forgotten in his terror where exactly he was. He got up slowly, and looked around to get his bearings, though the forest was much altered from a few moments ago, he did recognize the Henge just visible through the foliage. Pointing at it, he gave it's name and then he pointed at the ground under his feet and gave a second name. Then he looked eagerly to the goddess hoping he'd pleased her.

Photina decides Mot is right. One group of many may best the odds more so than many groups of few. Even if group members clashed. She decided to send her healing friend and birds back from whence they came. "Ratwood? I have no knowledge of such the place. I have not wandered outside our common plane much, so that would come to one's mind easily enough." Looking over at the goblin who spoke the names of the circle they woke up in and the land on which he stood, Photina asked "Sir goblin, do you know of anyone using magic to destroy a plane of existence? We are trying to get to the bottom of this, and we need help figuring things out."

With that, Photina readied herself to summon her Samite healer again, if needed. She was truly seeking help from this goblin, but not letting her mental guard down, though her body language might suggest otherwise. Hopefully seeming defenceless myself might help him not see me as a threat and possibly trust me.

Teysa - The Chaotic Resurgent

Ensnaring a Goblin made the Dragoness smirk ever lightly, some things never changed. Those who were small oft held reverence for those above them, especially those of the green-skinned ilk. Fondly she could remember the days when similar folk would bring sacrifices to their Draconic Gods, and fondly could she remember how crunchy they were when she devoured them.

He quickly jabbered forth her location, with an appeasing expression upon his face as he spoke to her; and the Dragoness nodded softly. Understanding that though they were quick to act and hasty to rage, Goblins never were the sort to be intellectuals. The world view of this one would be small, with only the immediate locale being within his grasp, and perhaps the location of his respective tribe.

Rarely, and only rarely was there ever a Goblin with formidable intellect. They became chieftains, warlords and the like. As another Plainswalker came up and began inquiring questions that were far to grandiose for a Goblinkind to comprehend, the Dragoness simply shook her head.

"You have not any experience in dealing with Goblins, mortal. You will not receive the answer you desire here." She began apathetically, her voice still seemingly so resounding and formidable. "The answers you seek are better sought in places of wisdom and magic, not with a lone goblin scout out in the wood."

Her gaze then refocused back upon the little Scout, and from her kneeling position, the humanoid Dragoness slowly rose to a stand. Her slender, beautifully scaled hand reached out for the Goblin's and took it, helping him to a stand as well. Benevolent and warm as always, she spoke to him in his natural tongue.

"Now now, what is your name little one? Where is your Warlord or Chieftain? Take me to them."
