@ShidenBladesHey man, got a few things that need to be hashed out. This isn't an attack, but I'm clearly missing some things here.
First, I used the term gauntlet but did say forearm, terminology mistake on my part. So, you're actually biting down on his forearm. Again, bad use of words on my part.
The dagger Nicoli grabbed was the one that was just thrown while Dax was swinging and was sticking into his arm, not one that had hit his leg. So, it has far less to travel from there to Dax's jaw. Might want to rethink the mechanics of withdrawing a long sword from your chest and interposing it between Nicolis hand and Dax's jaw.
It kind of irks me that you would feel the need to mention Nicoli's own wounds but ignore your own other than using the term 'damaged.'
In the post before last, when you swing into Nicoli you had never stated that Dax landed on the ground, leaving me to think that you were literally hanging onto Nicoli. It probably seems trivial, but that is the only reason why Nicoli even tried turning his body to put Dax in the swords path. Because all the strength wouldn't matter if you have no grounding with which to resist.
I don't mind losing. I fully expect to in this fight. However, be it simply forgetting to mention your own wounds or ignoring them. You originally mention that Dax's arm that he earlier used to block (but haven't stated which) had been fractured and was useless to wield a weapon with any skill or finesse. Yet, despite the claim you've swung on a rope and thrown daggers with some accuracy and continue to use both arms with only a token mentioning of the injuries, but have them impacting your character very little.
You mention super strength and agility on the character sheet, but nothing about becoming stronger because of his demonic blood. You also mention nothing of supernatural durability or pain tolerance to justify ignoring his injuries.
Sorry if it sounds like I'm b*tching. But I feel like you are taking a lot for granted.
Ah okay my mistake about the dagger thing I call my projectiles knives, so I got confused when you said dagger, too many small blades to keep track of, my mistake there.
The arm that I used to block the attack was Dax's left arm, torn flesh and a fractured bone in the forearm, painful and impairing but he can still use it, he used that arm to grab the long sword and pull it down to block, its not an motion that takes a lot of finesse so it wouldnt be an issue for him to do it.
As far as being in mid air, when you said that you lost grip off the sword I assumed that it would be an implied fact that his feet would hit the ground, I suppose I could have wrote that, though to be specific. But the attack wouldnt have kept him suspended in midair for very long and a swing kick to the chest attempt would have only had him about 2 or 3 feet off the ground anyway so he would have feel to the floor pretty quick.
I only described D'angelo's injuries to justify not being able to be out muscled by a rough judo throw, I blame my own flowery writing, I was trying to find a cool way of saying, a human with damaged legs isn't strong enough to move a Cat demon humanoid with non damaged legs.
As far as his pain tolerance and durability, this isn't so much of a special ability so i didn't feel the need to put it on the CS. Hes animal humanoid and he is about to die, these couple of seconds have him completely feral and pumped with more adrenaline than ever before. The demonic blood is more flavour text about his mindstate changing from being an opportunist rouge looking to collect a bounty to a half crazed feral beast, looking to eat his opponent alive. I also described the weaknesses of him losing a lot of his strategic cognitive abilites, not to mention his lack of control on his skeleton friend.
But point taken and I've acknowledged your concerns, I will abandon the attempt to block the dagger attack with your own sword, and specify the bite of the gauntlet on the forearm.
