Abilities/Techniques
Dreamer: Dreamers are not born or made, they are chosen and to be a dreamer is to be a double edged sword. Many see the benefits of being a Dreamer and not the drawbacks; they are swayed by the promise of power and knowledge. Such men and women do not make it more than a few months before committing suicide.
A Dreamer never truly sleeps, for at its core a Dreamer is being constantly tested and prepared for the ‘End Battle’. Even when they sleep a Dreamer is brought to a place in which they train their mind and spirit. The Dreamers trainers provide all sorts of challenges and puzzles that must be overcome though only a Dreamer truly knows the horrors he faces he is forbidden to speak of them.
When a Dreamer sleeps they heal more quickly as well, a wound from a battle the day before is nothing more than a scar when he wakes, the next day a blemish, and by the third day there is no evidence that the Dreamer sustained any sort of injury.
Other than knowledge Dreamers abilities vary from on to the other and no two Dreamers are exactly alike as their training depends solely on their Trainers. Dreamers tend to be calm and quiet, unless they are going mad, but can be identified by a small tattoo of an hourglass behind their left year, though no Dreamer will speak of its purpose or origins as it is forbidden.
Taijutsu: Taijutsu is a blanket term for any combat skill, technique or system of martial art using body movements. Ryuku has been trained in a very wide variety of different martial arts styles and techniques and he blends them all together as he fights, adapting to his opponents strengths and weaknesses.
Qi (Chi, Ki): It is the ‘life-force’ or ‘breath’ in all living things. It can be used to produce a multitude of effects that are divided between internal and external techniques. Internal applications include such things as purging oneself of foreign influence and enhancing the body. External applications are generally more difficult to use and require more time to and Qi. They include producing elemental effects as well as shields and raw Qi techniques.
Kuji-In: Kuji-In is a ritual process that encourages the development of body, mind and spirit. It enhances the nervous system, endocrine system, energy channels of the body, mental abilities, comprehension, quickness of body and mind, and opens the doors on great spiritual depth. It involves the combination of many tools to focus all of the practitioner’s attention: hand gesture, spoken words, mental visualization, philosophic contemplation and focus points on the body.
>>>>Kūji Goshinpō: Is in essence a ritual ceremony of spiritual self-protection that employs Kūji-in to call upon the strongest spirits in the natural world. It is for these reasons alone Kūji-in should not be performed light heartedly. It is taught that he who willfully attempts to cause harm to others through the misuse of Kūji Goshinpō will ultimately cause harm to himself.
Qi-Gong: Passive It is the art of mastering the flow of energy in the body, the mind and the spirit through rhythmic breathing, coordinated with slow stylized repetition of fluid movement, and a calm mindful state. From a philosophical perspective Qi-Gong is believed to help develop human potential, to increase access to higher realms of awareness, and to awaken one to one's true nature.
