I'm doing my first GM job, and doing it terribly at that. I just wrote what may very well be the worst starting post of my life and I feel like I'm letting the players down :/

Hey, it just takes a little while to get used to having so many people rely on you to continue the story! Trust me, it'll come naturally with time. In the scheme of things, making a starting post that may not be the best is harmless. I've been GM over a RP for seven months now and sadly, it's falling apart because I took a break from it during exams and didn't communicate that very well but also, I pressed into a period in the RP when people needed me to post info but I simply didn't have the time to. I made a massive mistake and I'm now watching people I've come to befriend slowly slip away.

So raise that chin a little! You can only do your very best and as long as you strive to do that, you'll get far! I swear you won't lose any players for a poor starting post and I speak from experience! :P

I thought it was good, all the negative stuff is just in your head. I get the same way and think I'm letting people down, when in reality I'm not. It's all in my head.
