Rolman Flag
"We are beyond Death"
King Abram has passed, fallen from his horse killed from the ride. A sudden yet tragic accident has befallen the six kingdoms of Arlos with its king gone and no legitimate heir to take its place. The small court now ruling as a successor to be found and crowned king to renew its people and bring about a quick end to the unhappiness of the lost king. Only one heir worthy to be crowned the next king is found. Warden of East and Lord of Varim Castle, Calvert Rolman. Not the most cordial man but well known for his justice and battle prowess. Calvert's relation to the late king is his relation threw their grandmother's sister. Mixed was the reaction to Calvert's nomination to the throne, but law was law. Informed of this his only reaction was "Oh", or so his daughter described to the courier.
As it was obvious between Calvert and Abram they didn't quite get along, how or why isn't sure just that there was a mutual disagreement between them that distanced the two when the king had been alive. Regardless though Calvert accepted the duty as king and would come within the fort night when his affairs were set in order. Leaving with the hydra banner flying before them to the capital city Selvant. However when Lord Calvert's entourage came the whispers had been flying. The wide consensuses of whispers being why was he there or hadn't he heard. The suspicion was to be expect but something was off as Calvert and his daughter entered the throne room, a young man and the council going over paper work. Looking the council looking at his arrival as a shock but without hesitation and a sense of joy that he wasn't taking the throne. The young man in question was the supposed bastard of Abram.
Agitated by the notion Calvert grabs the young man chin inspecting the red haired filth claiming to be his nephew and new king. Inspecting the young man but pushed him away in a few seconds. "That is not Abram's stock." He yelled. "Your heads will be there!" Pointing the spikes overlooking the city. Storming out, paying no heed to Calvert as he left but what he did next.
Months later Calvert called his banners. His banner men coming in to heed their lords call for war and not long after two other liege lords claimed independence from the crown. Though he was the most feared because of his battlefield command. All terms were rejected as war was being prepared. The Hydra had been stirred and wouldn't stop until his desire meet or his jaws filled with blood.
