Emil stands around 6'1'' to 6'2'' in height. His build is strong, yet appears more lithe than bulky, but strong enough to hold his own in a fist fight. It’s obvious that some attempt has been made to control his light brown hair into a short pony tail, though a few rouge strands have escaped only to fall in front of his face. His most noticeable features are in fact his eyes, as the flesh around them is covered with a spiderweb pattern burn scar and the eyes themselves seem to be covered with a ghostly white film, though his emerald irises can be barely made out below it. He is normally clad in simple jeans, plain t-shirt, a thin solid color jacket and worn running shoes complete his ensemble.
A Large wolf looks upon you, it's fur is a deep tinted chestnut, lighter on its back but slowly gets darker towards its underbelly. This pattern is broken up around the wolf's mouth and paws, where the fur is a deep amber, like a permanent blood stain on the fur. The creature's eyes are covered by a tin bandage like cloth, yet its ears twitch and it still tracks you with unnerving efficiency. (If no covering over eyes: Ghostly white eyes dart here and there, seeking but not finding, pale marks spiderweb where no fur has grown trace their ways around the eyes.)
Strengths (at least 3): Blind Fighting: Due to the unreliability of his eyes Emil has altered his fighting style to the n-th degree. Moving away from the sight aspect and instead he has learned to use his ears and nose to locate prey and combatants.
Heightened Hearing: Due to his hampered sight Emil's ears have begun to fine tune themselves further than most werewolves, allowing them an accuracy that borders on scary (AKA: being able to locate prey in a forest by hearing alone, telling the location of someone and who they are by the sounds of their strides)
Nothing To See here: A benefit from near to no sight is that vision affecting things... don't really affect him. (flash grenades no longer really blind, just irritates. Illusions kinda roll off him like water off a rock)
Its like Night and Day... or maybe not: Due to his heightened hearing and lack of reliance on light, any downsides to hunting/fighting in darkness, nighttime environments, sudden light, etc. are very much reduced or negated.
Weaknesses (at least 3): Berserker: comes in two shades a) Bloodlust: Emil loses himself in the fight, raging and lashing out only to cause more harm, to destroy, to cause more fighting so that more blood may flow. b) Disoriented Lash-out: If, while in his transformed forms, his blind his removed suddenly, the sudden influx can cause Emil to lash out in a confused rage. Unlike Bloodlust, the goal is no longer to harm, but to stop any potential threats that may try and take advantage of his disorientation.
Augh! My Ears!: While the heightened sense of hearing may have some great upsides, it has one huge downside. Any sudden, huge noise can (and most likely will) disorient, incapacitate, or otherwise hurt Emil. The closer the sound is, the bigger the impact.
Technically Blind: Due to the damage to his eyes Emil can only see in blurry smears of color and light. This has caused him to only really use his eyes in his human form, while opting to keep them covered in his changed forms as the blurs are more distractions than anything, and the shifting scheme can quickly knock his other senses out of whack.
Social Butterfly I am not: Due to the lack of sharp sight, subtle nuances in body language can be hard for Emil to identify if they do not involve touch, and most of his are approximations of what others have done.
Personality: Emil is a generally happy fellow, a bit off kilter but comforting to be around. Though he can be a bit confrontational, he will bow to authority as he seems quite happy where he is in the social hierarchy, almost too happy. But set a task in front of him and he will determinately see it done to the letter.
History: Life can be odd, it can pick you up and knock you down in the time it takes for you to take a breath. For much of his early life Emil lived in relative peace, moving with his family here and there. But after he had grown and moved out, he eventually found his way to the sleepy town of Odessa. Taking up work as a library assistant he earned his way in the town, but always seemed on the outside of things. He oft took short walks up into the hills to clear his mind on his day off, not true hikes, but enough so that he cold look out at the town from above and think.
It was on one of these walks that Emil heard a commotion erupting from a nearby brush. every nerve in his body told him to run, to flee, but he defied them and crept closer.
In the brush was a wolf, not particularly large, it had been wounded in its front left shoulder and had collapsed. Its breathing was hard, but rythmic, and its eyes were shut. As he extended his hand to the beast, the wolfs eyes snapped open. With a fluid motion it chomped down on his forearm. With a cry of pain Emil staggered backwards and fell, clutching his bleeding arm. The wolf looked at him a moment, and he swore he saw its eyes soften. That changed when a voice was heard from nearby "The things in there, wounded but dangerous. Go ahead and toss one in so we can wrap this up and get back east, heard something about a few in upstate New York." The wolf glared out of the brush and tried to rise, only to fall with a defeated huff. Chuckles came from outside as a small metal *tink* was heard and something was lobbed into where Emil and the wolf sat.
Looking up Emil saw a small metal cylinder a few inches from his face, his mind barely registering the thing as a Flashbang before it exploded with the first and last clear thing Emil saw. The rest is a blur, rolling down the hill till he impacts on a tree, the searing pain of the burns, the feeling of shards of something in his eyes, and other pain.
That was months ago at least. Now Emil is driven by something else, something that was twisted those months ago as he lay in the woods, something new.
Other: in his human form he sometimes uses a wooden cane/staff that has a metal point and core. Its body is a hardwood carved with various figures that can be easily traced with the tips of his fingers.
*Note about his eyes: While the advanced healing saved his ears from the damage caused by the in-the-face flashbang, it can only do so much for his eyes. this is because small shards of shrapnel are lodged in his eyes preventing the advanced healing from healing them completely, or at least beyond what they have currently been repaired to (which is the reason he can even see at all). They, the shrapnel shards, could be removed. But when asked why he wont have them removed all Emil does is laugh and mention something about it being his individual "Idiot Tax"*
*Rubs hands together* Time to get a post done before I have work - hopefully I'm not gone too long today and get back a little more close to when everyones on or something XD
I'd say fairly deep. Inaccessible except off-road vehicles, perhaps? No other houses would be located nearby, since the house comes with considerable surrounding land. They can't hear howling and gunshots at the house, but if the wolves spread out they might. However, hunting isn't abnormal, so any gun shots heard (besides gun fights) would likely be dismissed.
I'd say that up until about a mile from the house, there's no longer a road or path - they've been intentionally covered up as well as nature taking over the untended. The house is still a house, so it'd be visible from higher peaks in the mountains or from airplanes and such, but people simply can't find a way to get there by path, and going off the path is dangerous anyway.
If determined, one could get there. Or if wounded and wandering around, I guess... So accidental would mean just ditching any clear path.
Is everyone okay with me just moving Valerie up to the bedroom, I'm kind of lost and not too sure how to go about things and don't want to get in the way.
