Kingdom Guild thread is up!
We are still recruiting members! Plenty of popular character choices available!
So there won't be a ton of detail here, will be plenty if this goes to OOC. I tried running this as an 1x1 on the old forums, but I feel this would be a lot more fun as a group RP. The idea is basically that Fairy Tale characters were real and now their descendants hunt monsters, generic ones as well as more famous villains like Big Bad Wolf. The current generation doesn't know that they are Fairy Tale descendants and are not straight copies, but have talents and powers based on their ancestor's lore.
I'm wanting the setting to be more Victorian era, but I know some are more comfortable with modern settings, so it will be up for debate. I know that their are similar concepts to this and I don't care. I don't follow or know about most of them. I try to make this original as possible and love to see it in your characters. For example, the descendant of the Seven Dwarves could be a single dwarf with all seven of the personalities that changes when a situation triggers it. Like long train rides could trigger Sleepy for a while or a hurt comrade could trigger Doc. Each could come with its own perks and drawbacks. Your inspiration from them can come from Disney stories or the darker versions of Grimm and original stories. You can freely design your character, as long as it makes sense, and I have suggestions (mostly Grimm style) for pretty much all characters if you can't think of one for your favorite.
The gameplay would be more about the guild house as a common ground to hang out, share stories and rumors, and accept contracts. Contracts can be taken alone, but should have at least a partner to keep up the Roleplay aspect. Also, as GM I'm likely to throw curve balls on contracts and often set up opportunities for story-driven events to happen for the guild members. This will be much more effective when Mahz adds the multiple tabs feature, but for now contracts would be posted and monitored on the OOC and the IC will just be closely monitored by myself and any co-GMs. I'm debating between Casual and Advanced right now and that's more for character depth and story rather than post length. I don't care if you have 500 words or 5,000 per post.
So, just a quick overview to discuss and see if I can build some interest. If I get enough, I can get an OOC up.
