This is fun, why is the thread so underused?

@Heat

8/10 - The instrumentals have lots of atmosphere, which I like in my music, and are played well. I like when you can sit back and let the music sweep you along a journey; Baroness does just that. Admittedly, I liked the song better before the vocals, but they're delivered with a raw energy that complements the instrumentals. I've never truly given the band a solid listen, but I just might do that. Usually, I listen to music that's a bit harsher, and the song didn't really scratch that itch. Always liked their cover art, though!

Here's my contribution to the thread.

@Aristo Thanks for re-reviving it, I do agree fully that it is underused.

I'd rate the song you provided me 9/10, I'm big into metal and that song is up my alley. That guitar sounds bloody amazing and unique, the song as a whole has a very original feel to it. The middle section where the style changes wasn't what I expected but I dug that part a lot. Reminded me a bit of Dethklok.

While we're on a metal kick.

EDM isn't necessarily a favorite genre of mine, but this wasn't all that bad. Throughout, it had some bits in it that I liked, but others that I didn't. Overall, I guess, it wasn't too bad. 7/10

I don't watch Game of Thrones per se, but I've heard good things about the soundtrack. This one is a great example. Though not something I'd personally ‘enjoy’ (if you know what I mean), I can definitely imagine myself writing with this in the background. Bonus points for the vocal part starting at around 5 minutes and the on-and-off intense bits which made the whole thing much more interesting to listen to! 8/10

@Mateotis 6/10.

I'm not big into electronic music but it's alright, the piano is an interesting addition to it.

I'll give this one a 9/10. Had some real catchy, old school heavy metal vibes that I found impossible to resist. Definitely can pick out some elements of doom/sludge in the mixture. I used to listen to stuff like this all the time in college, so it's only natural I find something to like about it. The themes are campy, but in a charming, lovable way.

Here's some black metal. Not for everybody, but damn, those riffs.

@Aristo Not for everybody indeed. Unfortunately there are so many stereotypes involving metal and most if not all of them are just bullshit. Although i'm a huge fan of metal myself, I have to admit I never really explored the dark side of metal, with death metal, black metal and all their respective subgenres. I guess i'll have to delve into that one day. At any rate...the song is great and those guitar riffs are beast. Very powerful and piercing to the core. I love it! 9/10

Now here's some groove metal from guitar god Zakk Wylde himself.

@LPFan im usually not much of a metal fan but still the song is ok. It has a good build up, good music , and a decent singer. even though it feels to me he screams more into the mic of anything. overal i give it a 6/10.

@boomlover A friend of mine used this for background music while making his speech bid for class president in high school. He lost.
Anyway, good song for atmospheric writing, but not exactly something I'd load onto an iPod. 7/10

@DeadBeatWalking 7/10. I like it but it's not anything spectacular, it's kind of catchy. The breakdown was nice.

@Heat 7/10. I love the instrumental, but the vocals kill the vibe I got from it. It's easy to see why someone would like it though, so I can't give it less than a 7/10.

Not really easy listening-type stuff, but defintiely something I would go back listening to. I loved everything about it. From start to finish, it was like sex for my ears. It gets a 10/10 from me. :)

Hilarious. But I usually listen to songs for musical content, not lyrics or anything. That being said, the lead singer's voice is fabulous, and the chords are breathtaking. But it's mostly lyrical, so I can't really get behind it. Others might love it, tho.
9/10!

@bix 5/10. It's not really my type of music, sounds like something out of the 80s club scene. It's okay, I could dance to it, probably.

@Heat 8/10 I miss Pantera. ;-; What a great way to end a kickass album. With an amazing Black Sabbath cover and possibly one of the best acoustic solo's ever.

@MetalHead I honestly didnt know these guys were still making music! One of my favourite bands of all time. But as much as I love david's voice on everything I'm really not a fan of metal bands doing slow ballads, but it technically an okay song

5.5/10

Video was trippy but I enjoyed it. The music was okay, I wasn't a big fan of the singer's voice but the background instruments were solid.

@Heat 7/10. I prefer SOAD's louder stuff, but this one's pretty good, nice melodic guitars.
