The poacher tossed out a Tyranitar next. Tyrannizer's ability triggered a sandstorm.
"Water Shrunken!" Liam called. The five star shaped water projectiles were partnered with Dragon Pulse and Fairy Wind.

"Yoto, Metal Sound at Tyranitar; Sunawani, Dig at Muk!" The Krookodile went back underground just before Yoto scraped his swords together, producing a sound worse than nails against a blackboard, causing Tyranitar's Special Defence stat to sharply lower.

Tyranitar was quickly knocked out by the combo and the sandstorm finished Muk, but not until it had thrown a bunch more sludge over the area. Getting fed up with the nonsense, the poacher threw one a capture cube* at Florges. Goordra got in the way and smacked it with its tail, knocking it back at the poacher, catching him instead.

* = the cube is something we have seen Jessie and James use in the anime, typically to hold Ash's Pikachu.

"That backfired on you," stated Shiranui, "Liam, I think it's time we inform the nearest Officer Jenny."

Liam called Gallade back out and had him teleport back to Luminose to grab an Officr Jenny. While that was being done, Liam commented on this being the most ironic thing he had seen in his life. He turned to the Goodra and praised it. Gordon then hugged Liam. A Goomy slithered out from the bushes timidly. Gordon talked to it, what Liam hypothesized was saying that it was safe to come out.

"Was the scary man after you?" Shiranui asked Goomy.

The Goomy nodded in confirmation. It then deflated. Liam pulled out a bunch of berries for Goomy to eat the ones it wanted.

"Liam, I think this Goomy likes you," Shiranui commented.

"Well, I think so." Liam said. He readied a Luxury Ball and sent out Noibat to battle it. Noibat confused Goomy with Supersonic. Goomy hurt itself in confusion. Eventually, Goomy was worn down and Liam tossed the Luxury Ball, catching Goomy.

"Now we both have one," stated Shiranui, reminding himself that Numeru needed more training.

A cop car came driving up. Jenny and Liam's Gallade got out. Jenny saw the poacher caught in his own trap. She loaded hm into the paddy wagon. She turned and saluted the heroes, thanking them for the assistance. Keanen told the duo to follow him back to his house, as Liam's clothes should be dry by now.

"Another baddie bites the dust," Shiranui remarked as they followed Keanen back.

Keenan gave Liam his actual clothes back. Liam stepped into another room and switched back. He returned the borrowed clothes to Keanan folded nicely together, thanking him for the use of them. Liam took this time to scan Goomy with the Pokedex.

"Goomy,the Soft Tissue Pokemon, the first form of Goodra. It's covered in a slimy membrane that makes any punches or kicks slide off it harmlessly. It lives in damp, shady places, so its body doesn't dry out. It is known as the weakest Dragon type Pokemon."

Shiranui sighed when he heard the last part of Goomy's Pokédex entry. "Whoever wrote that needs a swift kick in the behind," he commented.

"Well, I don't like it either." Liam admitted. "But, I am sure the Professors had their reasons for it."

Shiranui nodded in agreement. "When you're ready, we can continue on to Laverre City."

"Well, lets go." Liam replied.

Soon after, Shiranui and Liam were back on the marshy road through Route 14. "I heard something about a house at the other side of the marsh," Shiranui stated.

"Do you mean the one that is supposedly haunted?" Liam inquired. Gloomy who was riding on Liam's shoulder shuttered at that thought.
