Hey everyone! I've had a plot bunny running around in my head lately, and I'm looking for someone who might be interested in giving it a shot.
Please read all of my about me/looking for before responding! PMs are usually the best way to reach me.
I think that about sums it up. If you have any questions, let me know! Otherwise feel free to shoot me a PM if you're interested. :)

(This is a work in progress, so I'm open to change. Can be modern/historical, magical/realistic, etc. We can talk about changes. This plot is also loosely based off of the anime "Romeo x Juliet".)
The large kingdom of Afaede is a land of prosperity, of sprawling hills and bountiful cities. Despite a lingering tension with the neighboring kingdom of Taenyth, Afaede has known peace for centuries. Even so, the king currently upon Afaede's throne, King Sevaun, is not a kind man, and while his tactics may not be to the level of outright cruelty, some have begun to feel the unease settling under his rule. Concern is also beginning to spread over the fact that King Sevaun has yet to relinquish the throne, despite his son's coming of age years ago.
However, the secret that has kept this beautiful kingdom so prosperous comes with a high price. Every few generations, a daughter born of the royal family must give her life to the World Tree that gives life to the land. No one but the king and his closest advisers knows of this tree, nor its blood-ridden soil, as it is held deep beneath the walls of the castle. Without this tree, and the lives that are offered to it, the kingdom would fall into ruin - crops would wither, rivers would run dry, the land itself would begin to crack. It is unknown how long it has been since the last daughter gave her life to the tree.
The current children of the king are the twins Prince Brelan and Princess Namyna (my character). Shielded from both the good and bad of their kingdom's peoples and their father's rule, they have both lived lives of luxury. Now at the age of 20, Brelan is a calm, protective man; Namyna is full of energy, and a fighter, just as stubborn as her late mother.
The peace in Afaede is not to last. Namyna is captured in the night by an unknown assailant (your character - you're free to decide for what motives, whether it's an order from Taenyth's royalty, or just a kidnapping, or for ransom, etc), and King Sevaun believes it's an attack from Taenyth. Regardless if he's correct, threats of war begin to rise. On top of that, strange earthquakes begin to shake the land, and the crops seem dryer than normal...
Your character will have to deal with the fact that Namyna will not make anything easy for him, becoming the biggest pain in his side he could've ever imagined. But somewhere in between war and the earth crumbling beneath their feet, maybe something more will develop between them? And once the horrible truth comes to light of the World Tree, how will they manage the looming threat of what the royal daughter must do?

-- I have about 8 years of RP experience, ranging from novel-length RPs that have lasted for literally years to short drabble Neopets threads.
-- That being said, I generally reply with about 2-8 paragraphs, depending on what's happening. I'm looking for someone who can do about the same.
-- I'm 23, so I'm able to write smut and I'm not against it. I'm also not against gore, violence, etc. I'm more than willing to work with whatever is in your comfort level. Anyone who wants to write adult material MUST be 18+.
-- I work full time and have a lot going on in my life, including a recent family emergency. I try to post at least once per day if not more, but there will be times where I can't reply for a few days. Have some patience with me.
-- I like to throw lots of angst into a plot, because watching characters suffer and then giving them happy endings is what I live for.
-- I generally prefer to RP over PMs, but I may be convinced to try a thread.
-- If you've read all this, tell me your favorite fruit when responding.

-- A male character to play the thief/kidnapper/spy/whatever. Gender of the writer doesn't matter, obviously. :)
-- A good romance plot. I'm not looking for "they instantly fell in love" - I'm anticipating these characters will be at each other's throats at first. Development is a huge key.
-- A long-term writing partner. I don't want to rush this through. I think if done right, this could last a long while, and it'll be really fun to watch the way this world's events pan out.
-- Good grammar and spelling are a must. I understand mistakes, I can make them myself more than enough. Just don't make the page bleed with red squiggly lines.
-- Someone with patience, as stated above. I have a lot going on, and I don't need someone messaging me every day and night asking if I'm going to continue. If I need to drop or don't feel like we match, I'll let you know.
-- OOC chat is great! I like writing with someone that I can get along with and nerd out when something cute or sad or whatever happens in the RP. That's half the fun!
-- If you've managed to read all of this too, ignore the rule about sending me your favorite fruit. Tell me what your favorite kind of ice cream is instead.
