[NOTE] - Innerscape is a Solo-RP, the following OOC is a formality, additionally I really enjoy structuring OOC OPs so there is that too. Just to clarify; I am not accepting anyone, if you are interested in the RP feel free to PM me and we can discuss things further, but do not hold your breath.
Innerscape ; Deity of the Mind
Introduction
Greetings, this RP will explore concepts such as religion, morality and will have an emphasis on a dark atmosphere at times. The genres covered in this RP are Modern, Supernatural, Slice of Life, Psychological and Horror. The plot is centred around a unique ability that for a long time has laid dormant within all living beings capable of a certain degree of cognition. This ability demands a zealous nature in most who obtain it, rewarding the user with unique abilities and powers for their ability to uphold their own moral code and follow specific routines, such as praying regularly or leaving offerings.
The RP kicks off with strange phenomena happening that triggers civil unrest all over the world, odd and twisted creatures are coming into being and going berserk. Although not entirely useless, the arms of the local law enforcement and military in most areas have offered little resistance to these creatures. One thing has been proven to destroy these creatures quite swiftly, despite their diversity in size, ability and behaviour, and that is the use of a mysterious power only shown to be present in some humans so far.
Mysteriously, however, many of the practitioners of this power have taken to committing crimes or harming others, often claiming that such acts make them stronger, no concise observations have yet been made to validate this claim, however. As for you, well there isn't anything really special about you. You don't have access to this ability, it seems, however, as a concern for creatures being spotted near your local town grows more frequent, so to do these odd dreams of your own little world.

Powers
Your powers will originally manifest themselves as simple 'force waves', simple bursts of energy that resonate from a desired body part, these bursts have no appearance beyond a slight distortion of light there they are used. All users of this ability are only capable of this type of power at first, it is not until a person starts to explore their 'Innerscape' that their powers become refined, specific and unique.
The Innerscape is a mental plane that is the source of one's powers, it can take any form and will often at first have no form and be a mere black void of nothingness. The only exception to this is found in those with really strong religious beliefs, so far what is known of the Innerscape is that concepts such as faith and belief seem to influence it and once it has been influenced, it is very hard to change, but not impossible with a very few exceptional methods that can change a persons Innerscape nearly instantly.
For the reasons above it is easiest to refine, train and strengthen your Innerscape by adopting a religion or creating one, however, the religion one chooses is very important, as it also highly influences a persons capabilities in regards to their powers. A religion such as Christianity offers very little in the way of utility or practicality powers, due to the religions edicts that ban the use of magic, a person who has abilities and is Christian will likely have powers that 'appear' holy in nature, using visual affects such as divine light, white feathers, halos, ect. ect.
Additionally, it appears the more devout one is to their religion and the firmer their perceived knowledge of such religion, the more powerful they become.

Creatures
The creatures of this story take unique and unusual forms, however, they follow an odd theme in that an odd glyph is etched into every single one of them. There are currently four know types of glyphs and current observations seems to denote that the glyphs denotes the creatures capabilities and deadliness. More about the glyphs and their meanings in the glyph section bellow.
The creatures have ranged in varying sizes, from being as small as the common cat to as big as fifty story buildings, additionally their appearances are also subject to vary, however, there are some themes that can be observed relating to their relative glyph, more on that in the glyph section bellow. So far what has been displayed is that all the creatures, regardless of their appearance, glyph or behaviour, regard living beings as a source of food. Creatures are most often found due to an attack on a human or pet, additionally these creatures are extremely resilient appearing to have no discernible vital spots for projectile weapons to take advantage of. Instead stopping power and overall structural damage are what counts, still making several firearms useful, however, anything that serves to merely pierce the body is rather useless and only serves as a hindrance to these creatures.
The creatures also exhibit very fast regenerative abilities, being able to reattach limbs and heal wounds in a matter of minutes or sometimes seconds. Luckily it appears the creatures are only capable of physical attacks, in the form of melee attacks or projectiles, that is to say, there has yet to be a creature that has shown an ability to use powers like some humans and animals have. Finally, these creatures seem to show an insatiable appetite for beings who have the ability to use powers, often times triggering them to go into a frenzy.

Glyphs
Glyphs has offered some useful references for those hoping to combat these creatures. Firstly, it confirms that somehow all these creatures are related, secondly the glyphs seem to imply a hierarchy amongst the creatures and lastly but most importantly, it serves as a good assessment reference for those challenging the creature or assessing it's danger.
As previously stated, there are four known glyph types, each one seems to indicate that creatures capabilities and strength, for this reason the glyphs have been listed as 'Ranks' for the creatures.
Rank 0 ~ The weakest of the creature types, they are the lowest on the hierarchy and are often the size of domestic dogs, however, they can rarely be as large as a human adult. Rank 0 creatures follow similar themes in appearance of having dark grey flesh and quite a random body structure, usually with an odd number of limbs or limbs in places that offer no evolutionary advantage. These creatures are relatively weak and any average joe with a baseball bat could probably fend one or two off, their main advantage is in numbers and they can quickly become a very formidable force when hunting in a pack.
Rank 1 ~ Ranging from the size of a human teenager to a full grown elephant, these creatures are next in the hierarchy and this is when they start to gain quite unique appearances. These creatures are often somewhat clumsy but are still very dangerous, a human would need to be well armed and trained to fight one off by them self and killing more than one of these creatures would be near impossible for a single person without the use of abilities.
Rank 2 ~ Similar size range to Rank 1, these creatures are an extreme danger to the local population of wherever they are, even a single person with the use of their powers would need a high amount of skill to actually succeed in slaying these rank creatures. They often possess very high skill in hunting and are often ruthless in their pursuits. They can be quite intelligent, some knowing when to retreat, ambush and make use of an advantage.
Rank 3 ~ Only very few have been spotted, each being colossal in size and exhibiting extreme destructive power. Even Rank 2 creatures have been observed to flee before their arrival, the Rank 3 is a formidable foe whose size and regenerative ability makes them near immortal. One such creature was the source of a horrific event that caused the destruction of an entire city.
As a final note on glyphs, an odd behaviour that has been observed is that the glyphs will sometimes glow when a creature is eating, if a glyph is glowing, this will often mean that the creature is going to evolve soon, becoming a creature of the next rank up. It is unsure how exactly the system works, but this has been observed in Rank 0 transitioning into Rank 1 and Rank 1 transitioning into Rank 2, no such process has been seen from Rank 2 or to Rank 3 and current consensus is that such a transformation is impossible, given the extreme size difference.
