Unless I misinterpreted ryan's post, at the end it reads to me like he is stabbing another guard. So unless there will be some clarification, I assume we're fighting, and I'll edit my post tomorrow accordingly.

We're practically killing people because they were just a bit touchy with the waitress.

Well, they're pushing the line between sexual assault and rape.

What's more important is that we're like, a level 3 or 4 dnd party in a tavern in a city occupied by an army trying to take a fight against members of that army when we are not the top of the global food chain. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure our characters handle this fight with minor cuts and bruises. It's these guys couple thousand buddies I'm worried about. Discretion is the better part of valor, actions have consequences, and always kill everything eventually leads to a level 20 paladin asking your party what the world looks like swinging from a tree with a new rope necklace.

Not to mention that since they're currently occupying the city, the officers in charge may strung us up as an example to keep the peace. We're pretty much jumping the gun with the weapons and stabbing. We could have tried to make it look like a bar brawl if a fight was inevitable. At least then we have a pretext of not looking like rebels or saboteurs against the army.

Hmm, maybe our membership to Iron Mountain could help us out...

Sorry about the whole situation guys. Eren is more of an attack first, think later type guy. The fact that they were dishonorable Niratremi only made it worst. I also kinda misinterpreted Hexa's post, as I thought that that was where we were going. Sorry! Looks like Pumpkin may have just fixed things, though.

It's fine, play your character how you want. But if you've ever played a tabletop rpg, just because a dm sets the scene and points it in a direction, doesn't mean the party has to go that way. He set tension, our characters can attempt to defuse it.

The problem was I asked people to hold off, so I could try to make a defuse post, but Ryan posted right before I finished. So it invalidates it, and I need to edit my post, which I'll do after work, in about 12 hours

Sorry about my post, but if you check the end, I made it open-ended on purpose. Jericho has his blade out, but he's not attacking (that's not his combat style anyway). He is kind of like moving out of the way of the commotion caused by Eren but ready for what happens.

I can throw out that last one sentence if you guys want - I was actually trying to leave it as open as possible (one of the guard's hands was already impaled on the table) to see what you guys wanted to do. My problem was that I was writing that post intermittently for a couple hours after ulster posted and then I only checked the IC before hitting post. My bad.

I'm sorry everyone and @Lotta Pumpkins. I feel like your post still works if Jericho's only standing at the ready.
