Journeys Across Gielinor, a Runescape RP

This will be a story revolving around the beginning of the Sixth Age in Gielinor. (I've never posted an interest check, so I'll kind of improvise here.) Sliske has murdered the God of Balance,Guthix, causing most of the other deities to abruptly return to Gielinor. Not long after killing Guthix, Sliske hosts a game of sorts for the most powerful artifact in the universe, the Stone of Jas (an artifact that contains a nearly limitless supply of energy created by one of the Elder Gods). Now, heroes and adventurers of all kinds gather at the Legend's guild to discuss these events, declare their 'holy' allegiances, and perhaps seek the power of the Stone for themselves.

Good luck trying to get a RuneScape roleplay off the ground on this site, @Balmung1100.

I have tried several times and attracted little attention. Oddly enough, I used the exact same storyline (calling on RuneScape lore etc.) for a later roleplay, but purposely made no mention of RuneScape and changed the names of Gods and cities... That one took off! RuneScape has a definite stigma around it and that really sucks.

That said, I hope you have better luck than I have, and I'd like to express my undisputed interest. I'm also going to be upfront and mark my territory in saying that I would love to play a Moonclan mage who is exiled for turning to the teachings of Zaros.

Sounds interesting. Can I get a basic plot setup for what we're going to be doing?

@Earnest Evans essentially, the characters in this story are going to be caught in the middle of a war between the gods. The object that all of the gods are fighting for is a relic called the Stone of Jas, an object that was created by an Elder God(which is on an entirely different tier compared to any God that is currently active). The stone is the object responsible for many of these gods' ascensions. It is more or less a battery that allows the user to absorb insane amounts of power, the only cost is that the guardians of the Stone, the dragonkin, gain the same amount of power whenever the Stone is used(and these guardians are already powerful enough to kill gods). The current holder of the stone, and the one that has been using it as motivation for the gods to kill each other is Sliske. Sliske is a mahjarrat that is more/less the master of shadows. His motivation is, according to him, not selfish. He simply wants to keep the gods busy enough to allow his god Zaros to return to the world unchallenged. (I guess there's a lot of stuff to wiki here as I could go on all night)

@Balmung1100 Oh no, I'm a big Runescape lore buff. What I'm more looking for is a general idea of what we'll be doing in the RP. A general skeleton of the RP's plot.

@Earnest Evans Oh, that's much easier to describe. Essentially the plan is to find a way to stop the conflict and do what RS adventurers do best. Fix/screw stuff up. One of the best ways to do this would be to take the Stone from Sliske, or find some other way to bring some semblance of peace. (Well at least that is what my character intends to do, everyone is kind of free to make their own decisions on what they want to attempt) This is essentially the Sixth Age without the World Guardian. I kind of figured having one person be that important would take away from other people's characters. You know how folks are when they have an excuse to claim that they are more powerful/important than everyone else.
