Sein Academy

Enna Raine

Sighing softly as she makes her way down to the Dining Hall, her hands in the pockets of her favorite pair of faded jeans, she could feel the excitement in the air from her dorm room. Shifting her gaze around as she dodges around a cluster of other students, Enna made her way towards the line, absently picking food to eat, reaching the end and offering a tired smile to the cashier she made her way to weds an empty table.

The Greeting will start soon...let's see how this goes shaking her head in an attempt to dislodge the last rements of sleep, Enna begins to dig into her food, her attention zeroing in on the action, the soothing chill of her power wrapping around her frame helping her relax further. The familiar feel of metal sliding against her neck as she swallows tugs a small smile from her lips, her left hand reaching up to caress the collar as her right continues to cut her omelet into bite seized pieces.

She knew that she wasn't supposed to wear the Solar unless she left the Academy, however she found it helpful in keeping her calm and her power and bay, she hasn't even shifted in a full three months. Finishing the last of her breakfast, Enna rose to her feet and began to make her way towards the Auditorium, even if she was a First-year it didn't hurt to be a bit early, besides after the Greeting their first class would begin. @SomeoneSomewere

Adrian slowly made his way to dinning hall, his hands shoved deep into his pockets. His eyes seemed a light with fire, dancing in his eyes. Gazing around, his jaw clenching then unclenching rapidly. He didn't know how to handle his anger. He just buried it inside him when in public. Of course, when he's alone it can tend to be a different story. As soon as he entered the room, the facade of collectiveness was achieved, his body relaxing, a light look on his face. His eyes tended to give away his internal anger, but most didn't focus on his eyes, or know enough to understand the emotion in the raging depths.

He quickly grabbed some food, offered a polite smile cashier, before moving to sit down. He tried to sit down away from others, but he was forced to sit near another girl with brown hair. He didn't interact with her, sparing a quick glance her direction as he began eating. The collar on her neck quickly marked her as being an Xeinae. He glowered slightly down at his food, before masking it. He hated the stupid collar they gave his species. It made him feel like a pet that was supposed to run around to everyone's demand. With a quick shake of his head, he finished his food, looking around slightly. He stood up and threw away his trash, walking outside. He ran his hand through his hair, licking his lips clean at the same moment.

He headed down the hall, letting out a puff of air, which had some steam accompanied with it. The difference in temperature often causes steam, much like for normal people in the winter. He slowly entered the auditorium, looking around at the nearly empty room. Appears he was a little early. He looked around briefly before going and sitting down, getting comfortable in the chair, leaning back slightly in it. His eyebrows furrowed, looking at the stage. He hoped this wasn't going to be boring and stupid, and was quick. He just wanted to get to going to classes. Hopefully they were exciting and allowed time to vent.

Enna moved to the front of the stage, taking a moment to extract her hands from her pockets, a small smile tugging on her lips as she takes a deep breath and shakes her head slightly. She has time, she was going to use it. Moving a few strands of hair behind her ears, Enna couldn't 5help the shiver of anticipation at releasing her pent up power for a bit.

Releasing a burst of cool air, Enna began to move her hands, ice shards forming in thin air and seeming to dance a few inches above her skin, her breathes coming out in puffs of white fog. Stopping her gestures Enna allowed her eyes to scan the room, the feeling of ice seeming to draw her attention, blinking in confusion when she spotted a figure sitting in one of the seats Enna huffed slightly and dropped her head.

Snarling softly at having to pull her power in once more, Enna glanced up and watched as the front half-fromed crystals hanging from the ceiling and empty chairs fade, she felt a frown tug on her lips. She knew that releasing her power could harm others but, she needed an out. She could shift but she didn't want to attract the attention of the Custos, nor did she want to deal with other students murmuring of her fo and how special or dangerous she was. She may be a Xeinae, but damm it, she wasn't a beast that needed to be ogled all day. @SomeoneSomewere

Now this was certainly interesting. He watched the girl he sat near earlier while eating. He watched her move, eyeing the ice that formed in the air. She obviously thought she was alone. He watched her, his eyes shinning in the darkness. He enjoyed watching her movements, it looked so carefree. Until she spotted him in the crowd, that is. A small grin formed on his face, and he gazed around the room, checking for anyone else in the room.

He stood up, slowly moving his hands. Small streams of fire formed, arching over objects, careful to not let the fire touch anything. It flowed through the air, his eyes lighting up further as he worked. His hands started to shake soon afterwards, and he let his hands fall to his sides, the fire disappearing. He found that his anger started to rise as he used his powers, and not desiring to have a flare up, he let the fire die out.

He looked at her with a small smirk," you don't need to stop because I'm in here, I doubt you'll hurt me." He sat back down, his hands shaking slightly still. He took deep breaths, covering back up the anger that threatened to rise to the surface with the use of his powers.

Emma blinked in surprise at the words, her hands lifting once more and beginning to move almost on their own accord, a feeling of warmth filling her stomach that had nothing to do with the fire the other boy controlled.

A full smile pulled her lips up, her shoulders shrugging in an effort to release the sudden spike of tension that rolled up her spine, the ice forming above her arms solidifying before rising into the air and beginning to spin. Enna watches and stills her hands, for the first time in awhile she felt...free somehow, she didn't feel heavy with regret or self-hatred for what happened several years ago-

A burst of mist filled the room then, the small crystals stilled and seemed to melt before reforming again, the warmth that filled Enna just moments ago vanishing with a strangled noise that came from the back of her throat. Her hands begin to twitch, her throat swallowing repeatedly in an effort to get the smell of copper and death to leave, she couldn't breathe, why couldn't she...breathe?

The mist now seeming to form a blizzard with the Auditorium, the crystals that were the size of her palm now twice as big struck the ground and slowly spread across the stage, the feeling of her knees trembling had Enna forcing out a weak whimper from her lips. She was either going to shift or loose control once again...why couldn't she forget that night? Why couldn't she learn to move on and be glad that her grandmother was now at peace?

A deep breath was drawn in, simply watching the ice move around. It was almost peaceful, the ice gently floating around. He generally wasn't fond of ice or cold, but this was different. He turned his head to watch the expressions on her face, she seemed happy, as if she felt at peace by the simple notion of using her powers. His eyebrows furrowed, however, as her expression changed, and mist filled the room. By the panicked expression on her face, he knew what was happening to her. It often happened to him, and is a main reason he doesn't use his powers for long.

He rose, raising the heat around him to quickly evaporate any mist near him, to allow himself to see. He made his way to her, carefully winding his way between the chairs. He used his powers to be able to see, even as it became increasingly difficult to see. He suddenly began to hear crashes, and he created a fire over his head a few feet, to evaporate the ice coming towards him. He climbed up onto the stage, grunting as he tripped over some ice on the stage. Spotting her on the stage, he made his way over to her.

He slowly walked near her, losing the temperature as to not hurt her. He kept the fire above him, for his own safety. He reached her and gently took her hands into his, a breath being drawn in at the difference in temperature between his hands and hers. He said," hey... Come on, it's alright. Just focus on me, look at me, there is nothing else going on around us. You are safe." He ran his thumbs over her hands, looking her straight in the eyes.

Enna whimpered softly, her attention focusing on the warmth from the boy now in front of her, she took a deep breath and tried to focus on the present. Shivers and convulsions starting to rock her form, the ice evaporating into pure mist, causes a chocked whine to come from her lips.

"Damn it...I don't normally lose control...but I started thinking of her and... I'm shifting and I can't stop it, I haven't shifted in three months so I can't...I can't be here for the Greeting - I need to-" Another long whine tipped from her throat as a pulse of pain pain shoots through her body, her vision backing out for a few seconds.

The soft sounds of footsteps coming through the main entrance, towards the Auditorium had snarl from her already slightly shifted face, the feeling of her muscles shifting under her skin had her jerking and slumping to the side.@SomeoneSomewere

He allowed the fire to disappear as the ice fully changed to mist, nodding slightly as she talked. He softly ran his thumbs over her hands still, trying to provide some sort of comfort to her. He nodded softly at her and said," I understand, it happens to me often. I'll get you to somewhere safe, don't worry. But don't fight your shift, it will only make it hurt worse trying to stop it."

He gently supported her as she slumped over, and he moved, picking her up carefully, his muscles straining slightly as he did. He glanced around, looking for another door out of the auditorium. Going out the main entrance isn't ideal at this point in time. He soon spotted a side door and he made his way to it, adjusting his hold on the convulsing girl. He turned and pushed the door open, quickly exiting the room. He ideally would like her to be further away from the auditorium, but it's not easy to carry someone who is in the process of shifting.

He gently lowered her to the ground, crouching beside her. Three months without shifting. He would probably have gone insane by then, and would have had a melt down by then. He just knew he needed to get her away from the student population at least to help keep her calm as she can be. He was unsure how she would react to his own presence, but he wasn't going to abandon her right now.

Enna nods and attempts to relax her body, her head turning away when a familiar feeling of food returning from her stomach, she chocked slightly when she finished and forced her aching lungs to draw, slow deep breaths.

The feeling of ice water filling her veins has a gasp spilling from her lips before a long, low whimper fills the quickly disipating silence as the sounds of students and staff nearing the main doors of the Auditorium fill the air. Trying to roll on her side and failing with a grunt, Enna shivers when the feeling of her muscles rippling and the sound of her bones shifting and breaking before reforming fill her ears. Her vision fading to nothing as her shift takes over, her hair darkening and sprouting along her skin, her face shifting into a snout and her ears shift higher until they twitch weakly as a half whimper, half whine escape her now fully formed maw. Her arms and legs shift, bones breaking and reforming until their paws instead of hands and feet, her back arching once as her tail emerges from her lower back and her maw parts to release quick, uneven breaths.

Enna remains on her side her eyes closing as the last of her convulsions fade until she's left attempting to empty her already empty stomach. Her paws twitching every few seconds as she attempts to calm down, she'd just competed her shift, she didn't expect it to hurt so bad. @SomeoneSomewere

Adrian watched her, practically helpless in the situation. He was simply forced to wait it out with her. He tried to help the best he could, helping her roll onto her side when se struggles. The sounds of the bones breaking inside her body was nightmareish, the sound of the shift filling the air.

She slowly finished shifting, and his eyes drifted across the wolf that now was laid in front of him. Small, he thought, at least compared to his own form. But Sabertooths are nearly the height of a human, so not quite a fair comparison. Once he was sure she was fully shifted, he reached out carefully and gently ran his hand through the fur on her shoulder.

He then spoke, his voice soft," you're good, you're safe now. Don't worry, just take deep breaths. I know it hurts, shifts like this are terrible. Happens to me too often then I'd care to admit. Just let your body relax..." He watched her, gauging her reaction to him still. On his forced shifts, he can be quite violent, so he is being slightly wary as of right now.

Enna weakly presses herself into his hands, he body relaxing as the last remnants of her shift fade along with the mist that had hovered above them both. Flicking her ears when a pair of footsteps stop a few feet before the Enna's maw parts to release a low rumble, her tail lifting to flick in irritation. She didn't need anyone seeing her like this, she couldn't move and didn't want the boys hands to leave her fur, the thin icicle coating melting away.

"Is that?" The voice began, a female by the sounds of it, the smell of perfume and irritation filling Enna's nose, her rumble shifting into a low growl as she takes a step closer, the sounds of a camera shutter filing the air.

"No way it is!-but why is she on the floor?" Another voice asks, male this time. The disgust and hidden laugher clear in his voice. They may be held as royalty by some, however some even of their own race judged their own it seems.

He gently stroked her fur as she pressed into his hand. He softly ran his hand over her coat, watching her as she relaxed. However the quiet was interrupted as two people began walking towards them. He fixed them with a glare, but that didn't halt their movement towards them, before they stopped mere feet from both of them. He watched them closely, a low grumble beginning to sound deep in his chest.

Adrian was standing, slowly removing his hand from her fur. He then let out a low growl, the anger in him beginning to boil at the stupidity of these two. He widened his shoulders, moving between the girl and the newcomers, effectively blocking the picture taker from taking any more. His growl grew louder, staring them down.

He spoke, his growl interlacing with his voice, his lips pulling back over his teeth, even though there was nothing special other then human teeth," if you enjoy not being shredded to little tiny pieces, I would suggest you leave and stop being so high up on your horse. Your lives must be pretty pathetic to pick on your own kind." Fire started to form around his hands as his anger slowly built up, the air around him warming up aswell. He hated people like this, acting like they are so much better then everyone else. @Arista

Enna whimpers softly as the boys hands leave her sidess, her head lifting to watch as flames begin to lick around their small hide-a-whide-a-way, her saw pulling back to reveal her now jagged two rows of teeth.

Forcing her paws under her belly, Enna rose shakily to her feet and gently took his shirt in between her teeth and tugged gently, her wars flattening against her skull as both Xeinae backed away and lowered their bags. Releasing the fabric from her teeth, Enna moved forward and snapped at their feet, lifting her head and then snapping at their stomachs. The collar moving fluidly as she steps back and snarls, both step away and gape, their eyes shifting in color before fading.

The slowly reached for their bags and turned, their quiet murmurs filing the air, Enna chuffs and allows her now aching legs to fold until she's on her belly once more. She was so tired...so tired all of a sudden.

"Sad how low Enna Raine is when you see her on the floor" Come the soft voices from the inside of the Auditorium, Enna blinks her suddenly heavy eyes and feels herself relax. @SomeoneSomewere

Adrian glowered at both of the people in front of him, having full ability and most likely intention to carry out the threat if they did any more stupid things. He took a deep breath, trying to keep a reign on his emotions before they break free and run away to cause havoc around him.

The light tug on his shirt caught his attention, glancing back at the girl, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion at the action. As she released him and moved forward, a small smirk formed on his face as she moved to bite them, most likely attempting to miss, only desiring to scare them off. It worked, though their mumbles were still audial as of right now.

Small growls still rumbled in his chest, eyes narrowed slightly. He shook his head, crouching back down next to her. He said," Let's get outta here, don't want to deal with any other idiots like them." He gently picked her up, standing as well. He walked, trying to consider where to go to. He felt like his dorm room would be inappropriate, but he didn't know much else about the school.

He looked down at her again, wondering if she had fallen asleep. She looked ready to pass out after the Xeinae left. He let out a huff of air, grumbling slightly as he tried to decide what on earth he should do. He didn't know any places yet that were tucked out of sight. His frustration was mounting, scowling a bit again. @Arista

Enna's ears twitch at the faint rise of heat, shifting until her snout touched the boy's chin, Enna wiggled herself free and moved toward the main stairs, her tail wagging twice as she waited for him.

The faint sounds of the Greeting beginning drawing her attention for a moment before she shook her head and gestured with her snout that they'd go up, her front paws landing on the second step in her sudden flare of excitement and playfulness. @SomeoneSomewere

His eyebrows arched in surprise at her sudden rush of activity and he nodded, setting her down gently. He watched her nearly bounce towards the stairs, shaking his head slightly in amusement at her actions. He watched her, quickly gaining onto the hint that he should follow her. He nodded slightly, walking after her. He looked down at her as he started up the steps, his feet lightly brushing over the stairs as he walked. He walked at a speed to be able to keep up with her pace, figuring that he would need to go up them, but not knowing where to head after that.

Enna barked softly as she bounded up the stairs, her legs wobbling slightly but easy to ignore for now. Pausing in the center at the divide between the two halves that signified the boys dorm -on the left- and girls dorm -on the right- she began to make her way towards an empty wall on the boys side of thr dicide, that only held a picture of a garden and a statue of armor. Pausing before it and lifting a paw, Enna pressed on the statues left leg before patenting away and sitting down on her haunches.

The statue shifting to the right to reveal a small entry way, the smell of flowers and fresh water filling the air. This was a secret garden thar she'd found a month ago, gesturing the boy to go first, Enna flicked her ears once as a yawn parts her maw. @SomeoneSomewere

He watched her curiously, head tilted slightly to the side in question. He walked behind her, looking at the armor stand and trying to figure out what was so special about it. His eyebrows furrowed further as she pressed something on the statue and moved backwards as if to avoid it. He said," what is this?" He spoke half a second too soon, for the stand began to move to the side.

He stepped forward curiously, inhaling the scents that floated from the opening that was created. He peered inside, wondering what was hiding behind the wall. It's smelled like a garden type of thing, but why would there be a garden inside of a building?

Enna softly bumped her head against his side, a shiver running down her spine at the small burst of power that flowed through her.

There's a garden outside if you'd like. This is an inside garden meant for those who want to be near the flowers without the cold air around them. I love the cold but I'd rather not come face to face with the Custos right now. She whispered softly into his mind, her eyes feeling suddenly heavy once more, her head dipping slightly as the world spins slightly.

She could smell the rain that was gathering in the sky above, as well as the flowers and water from within the garden. She felt sleepy once more.@SomeoneSomewere

He flinched slightly at the sudden pressure against his said, looking down at her, blinking in slightly surprise as her voice popped into his head. He nodded slightly as he listened to her, noting his understanding. He then said," no, it's fine, interesting really. Don't tend to think of indoor gardens, really. And yeah, wouldn't want to run into them either. Terrible people, had my close brushes with them more then once."

He gazed around the room, looking at the variety of plants that was surrounding the area. It was rather neat, and peaceful. He'd need to remember this place for other times when he is out and about, and needs to be alone. It's definitely good that this place is pretty unknown.
