oddly enough i seem to be the only one who snagged a pipboy out of everyone here >.> didn't even see anyone snag the classic hand held pipboy 2000 or even a Pip-Pad.

Also an odd fact, despite having a number of marksmen/sharpshooters we only have one or two with actual sniper rifles. The hunting rifle is more of a medium to medium-long range rifle.

True. Still pity anyone who gets close though. pistols, shotguns, and maybe a supermutant if that person writes a backstory good enough to be approved.

@Balmung1100 would you mind doing a post with your "first impressions" or "general opinion" on each of the character profiles so far?

@Xartarin Memphis isn't really a settlement, but I guess it probably has one or two settlements within it of course. There are UAF outposts, Supermutant territories, and a few raider bases. I'd have to ask Valais if there was much else.

Ah, I think I just assumed that it was populated in some way if it was the hub of the RP. I still assume we're starting in Memphis so I'll go and rephrase why Sophie got pointed in that direction.

Alright, here's what I've got, and pay attention because I won't be repeating myself and any changes that need to be made are non-negotiable.

I will edit this post as we go along so always come back here to look at the situation report on characters.

Andrei Pasternak - My character, don't see why I'd need to approve myself, but he could use some touching up, which I will do eventually.

Raid-Bot: Approved

Esmeralda: This first part isn't the most important, but you don't have to point out that she is 'short' if you've already given the height, and neither do we need the clarification of 'just Esmeralda'. I'm sure we could figure it out for ourselves, let's keep it a bit more professional.

Second, I'm not so certain about the 'sharp shooting' abilities of an Uzi and a handgun, the only sharp shooting you'll be able to do with those is at close range. If close range is what you meant, then clarify.

Malcolm Crowley: Approved

Fallan: Approved

Rudy Rodgers: Approved.

Henry Direson: Approved.

Vincent James Clarke: Approved.

John Bridger: Approved

France Kota: The only reason I'm approving this character despite the completely made up information regarding North Carolina and this Kannon City is because it is well-written and doesn't have a big impact on our story. This is the only time I'm letting this happen, any further character info has to come from the lore in the Information Post or the official lore, no exceptions.

That goes for all of you.

Sophia Quilla: Approved

Sarah Sinclair: Approved.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And for fuck's sake, stop using art from other games as a reference for your character. The picture for Henry is from Dirty Bomb, and the one for Sarah is clearly a female rendition of the TF2 Sniper. It may only be two of you that have done this so far but I don't want to see any more of it. Unless you drew the pictures yourself (and have proof that you did) keep it out of here.

Fixed.

Kept the Vault-Hunting but will probably rename if that's something in Borderlands. Never played it before. But I ran it by Balmung before I posted and he said it was cool. (He did say it was unlikely you'd allow me to keep the guns but it's fine. I'll just have to use something else, not my rules after all.) I just like the concept of it, because it's always bugged me that people know these Vaults exist, but never stop and think: "Actually there might be some shit I can sell in there." Whether it yields results or not is a chance they'll take.

@Valais 66 Ever seen someone take one down with brass knuckles? Fun times... No, definitely not an easy task but it is possible. That said, it was just a little puff piece to throw some flair in there and will in no way reflect upon my actual RPing.

Also, I had asked He Who Walks Behind and they said they would be dropping out.

ALSO, What's wrong with fedoras? 50's culture, baby. Plus, a ghoul has every right to have a bit of style. What better way than a trophy of a hat?

@Viscerous

Possible in the games, maybe. But this isn't the games. From a realistic standpoint that'd be like trying to strangle a tiger with your bare hands.

The problem with the hat is that you can't get away with mentioning fedora on the internet without immediately thinking of neckbearded trilby-wearing land whales chanting 'm'lady' up and down the streets. But whatever floats your boat.

@DirtyDingo

A Vault-Hunter is a self-explanatory group of characters from Borderlands, most of which are the playable characters from the first two games. The word itself doesn't belong. Wasteland 'prospectors' fit the role that you describe.

'Vault Prospector' would be fitting.

Alright. I'm in London at the moment so I'll change it when I get back tonight. Thanks for giving me a better name, Vault-Hunter sounded a bit silly to me anyway.

People who hunt down vaults and otherwise sealed buildings are simply called prospectors in the fallout world. they specialize in breaking into sealed old world military instillation. this can be affirmed by every game, you normally find a few prospectors in every underground bunker, military instillation, or vault you go to. normally they are rather deep in the area signaling they did indeed make it quite far, but the baddie around the corner got them. sometimes those baddies are crazed vault dwellers, and lets just say a slasher/rocket junkie wearing a pipboy 3000 series is a true and immediate threat even if they appear to be unarmed. most prospectors are whittled down over the course of their "digs" as they call them and can be attributed to why the player character never encounters any real true resistance inside the vaults (vault 13 being the acceptation to this rule... deathclaws aren't very good house keepers or hosts. fuzzy deathclaws not withstanding.) The Prospectors always deal with the full brunt of an area's hostile forces leaving player characters to deal with maybe a 3rd of what used to be there.

many prospectors die because they simply cram too much stuff in their backpack and find themselves overburdened with weight, so escaping the vault/military instillation gets them in the end.

Also scary thing about deathclaws. They have the ability to parrot speech. yes, they can sound like a wounded traveler, or a merchant out on a caravan ride who got separated from his guards, drawing in more potential prey to an area before they strike. they can sound like children crying and calling for help. Deathclaws aren't just big, hard to kill, and have long claws that can reduce even armored troopers to giblits in a single pounce, they're also cunning and highly intelligent. The player always seems to run into deathclaws when they are NOT hunting. they always run into them when they're just milling around minding their own business. When they are hunting though that's been recorded in logs as being an entirely different story, one truly worthy of all of the nightmarish tales of them combined. These are creatures who can leap several meters in the air at great speed, tear through power armor with their claws alone, and depending on their diet, dormant genes can become active again! Deathclaws are Genetically engineered bioweapons from pre war times using a chameleon as the starting point. If a deathclaw starts to dine heavily on nightstalkers (who naturally thanks to BIG MT generate their own stealth field and were also designed as bioweapons for troops to use like a K9 unit.) they can get their camouflage genes working again, mutating the ability within a couple of months of concentrated diet. You can tell what a deathclaw has been eating by it's size, color patterns, what type of horns it has, and even the spines on it's back. What's worse? they're a byproduct from the FEV so they are entirely immune to radiation. Radiation just makes them bigger and speeds up their mutation process. If you want to know how scary they can get, Look to the Matriarch for all of your examples. This is a deathclaw who convinces a brotherhood of steel elder to allow her and her pack to join the brotherhood. And given that bethesda has said that yes, these events are cannon, you can bet everyone in the Chicago area, suddenly decided, "yeah, we're not fucking with the brotherhood anymore. taking on dudes with power armor and big guns is one thing, taking on dudes with power armor backed by intelligent deathclaws as an entirely different matter!"

Deathclaws are by far, the scariest creatures in all of the fallout series. Used to be an old mod for fallout 3 and New Vegas that took these things into account. made deathclaws hunt for food and added hunting behaviors for them, ala mimicking voices and staying out of sight of the player, always stalking around to the sides behind cover. when deathclaws were hunting, it almost made the game neigh unplayable. not because of bugs or lag or glitchy issues, but because you couldn't leave town! litearly you'd hear their mimicked cries off in the distance, sounding like raiders or merchants or a bramen's bell... you'd normally go over to those sounds to either shoot the raider to loot his gear or go over to the merchant and the bramen to trade.... But then you ran into deathclaws! Loved that mod but scary as hell if you ever played it with one of the darker skies and realistic lighting mods.

Thanks. There’s very little info on the Carolina’s, so I took some liberties. That being said the city is based off a real location in NC.

Also, I’m going on vacation from the 13th to the 19th. While I won’t have a ton of time to post, I’ll see about putting some time aside to do so if this starts in that period.

Well, Fallan has no bio, and RogueDetective doesn't have his negative attributes section. Esmeralda needs to edit her stuff too.
