@Letter Bee firstly, you'd have to tell me why he would be 'used to' orcs/half orcs- and why there would be a community of them in Giray. I don't really know if orc culture would do well in Giray.
@Lucius Cypher these are a lot of questions. .. hopefully I can answer them. To be fair and honest with you, when I created the world, I never did so with orcs in mind. So I truly don't know where or how they would fit in. That being said, I might be willing to give you full reign on the lore and background, providing that you can fit them in somewhere.
While Waeldeshore is made up predominantly of humans, they do tolerate otherworldly races, as long as they don't start trouble. Orchid may have an easier time than I originally anticipated, considering she is a half breed.
1- I would assume at this point it is the stereo type. And the fact that they've become skittish to anything different and rarely seen?
2- she is accepted, I just want to clarify if she is from somewhere on Silver Lily Isle, or not.
3- I don't think that Waeldeshore would have been famous for anything other than their trade. There were the underground guilds, as mentioned in the first post. But if there is anything particular you have in mind, I do not mind as long as it makes sense. I may be wrong here, as it was so long ago since I posted it, but I think Waeldeshore was once upon a time famous for their blacksmith skills. If that is something she is interested, perhaps she traveled there to become an apprentice.
4- I will not require you to tell me how well off your character is in game. I'm pretty sure the currency is gold, copper/silver is the currency. But unless you wanted your character to be poor, and or revert to banditry, she should have enough on her to cover the cost of a room.
Throughout the entirety of the rp there were 2 things that remained out of the scope of focus- religion and gold. For a couple of reasons I did this, but mainly I did this because this is more of an adventure rp where I as the gm push the plot along. This is not a sandbox rp. And the one thing that I ask from everyone is to create something with a sense of reality to it. Create something that makes sense. If you do not want your character to know something, or be able to do something, or whatever, that choice is left completely up to you, as long as it makes sense. I look for balance. So, if I may speak frankly, if you don't see it in the cs, then I don't care. And I leave it to be determined by you.
So to answer number 5- if that is a direction that you want to go in, be my guest. There is a bandit group, I believe they were named in the first post. So they are out there.
I created a base world for a plot line that I wanted to put forth. That's all. I am strict with the character creation part because of the story line and setting. But that is about the only thing I am strict on. Everything else, to me, you are all collaborators in this huge, great and epic story. I do allow world building, as long as it is plausible, that's why I ask you to run it by me first. You'll realize, the only time I say no to something, is when I don't find it plausible. If you can explain it to me though, and it fits- go right ahead.
Edit and add on- I am not good at world building, and this was my first rp. I never expected it to last this long, and the only reason it has was the exceptional group of people that have been going along with my shenanigans this long. :p
