@ArenaSnow, those all seem reasonable, albeit I believe anything more than approximately six to seven players will prove unwieldy. Much of the game, already as we have witness previously, will be greatly invested in awaiting posts... unless of course you split the party, which is never a good thing unless you're accompanied by appropriate non-player characters who are played competently.

That is just my observation and opinion, however.

If and when the interest check, as well as its expectations are posed, if we could be mentioned in the post and or this topic, that would be excellent. I would rather not lose my chance to continue on this venture by not having a reserved place, something of which I believe should be an entitlement to the pre-existing players; unless they've denoted departure, they should have a spot by default, given they've logically been awaiting the revival of this topic.

All in all, everything seems most reasonable, and the option of playing an evil character is quite tempting.

7-8, then? Sounds solid enough of a base, giving ample join opportunity and keeping the ranks down.

There is a possibility to make existing characters go evil via corruption that occurs by mere association with evil. So if you want to go that route with an existing character, it's open.

A Jan 1st reboot seems to be the most likely course. @IcePezz wants to start no sooner than the new year, so there will be a few more days.

If you folks want ot get ahead a little, you can keep the original CS but update it in the meantime to reflect 25 years. The world itself has gotten darker in the meantime, so there's that element if you intend to add the years as years of hunting demons. Note that hunting demons for too long exercises a certain mental and spiritual strain. One character from the original RP here will re-enemerge considerably different already.

Expect a smaller town than Waeldeshore as the starting point for simplicity. There is a possibility of a map being made for it.

Right now, the most likely start of the RP will be a reunion of sorts + new characters we pick up over the course of a week in the new interest check.

Dedicated players from the what is now a prequel will definitely not be booted in favor of throwing a new player in.

There is a revised CS in the works; but so long as the old one is updated there shouldn't be any revision of existing ones necessary.

There's the possibility of a wiki to compile lore, but a lore posting on this site should be good enough for now until content gets to be of a massive size.

Thank you for providing us insight as to what is transpiring, @ArenaSnow. It is good to know these things in advance, at least as far as my own plans are concerned; I am sure many others were wondering what the current progress and thoughts were as well.

Okie dokies. Arena and I have discussed and decided upon a story line that will conclude this part of the story and lead into the next. However I would like to know who will be participating in the next saga and what are your ideas for your character (s).

So to end this, our heroes were victorious. The ambush that was waiting for the group in the mountains retreated due to the horrible defeat they suffered in town, and needed to regroup. When the group makes it back to town, they hand over the artifact to Genevieve. Most of the group go about their own business, whether it is to leave town, or linger, go about their duties as guardsmen, etc. @Letter Bee, what transposed in your collaboration will still take place.

Genevieve tells the story of a another key, and rumors of where it is hidden. She would assign Isabeau the task of searching for this other key. Isabeau would have the option of going alone or taking a small group to aid her. ((These are all details of the aftermath and in between, so should any of you decide to accompany her, it would only be reflected in the 25 year gap additions to your characters.)) Isabeau would spend the next 5 years seaching, chasing lead after lead, and always coming up empty handed. She would return to Waeldeshore, but ahh, there is something different. During their time away from the port town, any who stayed by her side would've noticed a change in Genevieve. She grew aggressive, and had much more of a presence than she once did. She even took it upon herself to track down and kill Jeltheor. Waeldeshore praised her as a hero, and even awarded her title of advisor to whoever ended up taking the mantel of Lord Marshall.

An argument erupted between Isabeau and Genevieve, one that struck such a chord that Isabeau stormed out of the town, and hasn't been seen since. Coincidentally, some very important items went missing from Genevieve's private chambers. Things that Genevieve spent the last 20 years searching for, disappearing from Waeldeshore and the fame she acquired.

Now into present time of the next rp, Genevieve would send out personal letters to each of the surviving warriors that helped save Waeldeshore all those years ago, asking for their help once more. Characters are to gather at the location disclosed in the letter (details to be determined). I believe some of you had stated intentions of making new characers so I just wanted to check on that, as well as what everyone thought of this.

Unless there's a very plausible, detailed and sense-making explanation behind it... not really something that would fit in the context.

I would not say "coexist" so much as "exist on planes that intersect at many levels and exist by some greater forces' machonations.". My take on it, at least and that is viewing it with the classic Dungeons and Dragons perspective.
