"You can have mine. You need it more than I do."
Orion sighed at Vanessa turning down the waffles, although not surprised in the least.
Oh well, gotta just keep trying to find a way in, not like giving up on her's an option, probably had too many people give up on her already Orion thought bitterly, noting how he never really learned much about her history. He figured there's probably something of interest behind her. Worth finding out. In this state of deep thought he barely paid attention to his surroundings until he heard his name.
"You really know how to make waffles, Orion." Paisley smiled. "They were really good."
"Hmm?" Orion asked, not having touched his own waffles yet.
"Yeah, thanks Paisley," Orion smiled, looking at the waffles and his mind processing everything that was happening.
"I'm gonna go see if Vi's alright," he said, taking his waffles outside of the caravan and running over towards the road, seeing Vi standing in the middle of the road.
He watched as the truck came and barely missed Vi, frozen by a touch of shock and as the dust settled he ran over to the other side of the road where Vanessa now was, still holding the plate of waffles.
"You really should be more careful, if you don't keep an eye out for stuff like this you could get hurt or worse..." Orion drifted off and looked at Vanessa, continuing.
"I.... um.... I mean.... I don't think Paisley would be too impressed if you left her all alone with a bunch of hormonal stupid boys," he added with a small smile, wanting to remind her that everyone cared but embarrassed to say anything that could be interpreted as personal, individual care.
"So make sure you keep safe, you're part of the gang after all," he finished, feeling like he might've dragged on a bit too long and sound like he was lecturing her.
