Evelyn was in her kitchen, wearing nothing but a tank-top and her underwear. She was drinkinga cup of french vanilla coffee.

He stretched and yawned, after standing up from his spot in the bed, nearly slipping on the blanket he threw to the ground in his sleep. He looked in the mirror, his brightly coloured eyes widening at the sight of his face. Jack fumbled around, searching for his mask. He ran to his dresser, grabbing it and putting it on. "F...F-Finally... I don't have to feel so... Insecure." He walked out of his bedroom, blushing because he felt embarrassed without his mask. He opened the cabinet, grabbing a cereal bar.

Evelyn day her cup down, sitting on her black leather couch. She turned the T.V, switching to the news.
"BREAKING NEWS: MARK FISHBACK GONE MISSING!!"
Evelyn rolled her eyes. "Tch,"

He grabbed a deep red apron, put it on, and starting to cook, his mask lifted above his mouth and the cereal bar in it. Every now and then he held the bar with his hand, biting it. Jack was making some french toast, eggs, and bacon for himself and a roommate that only showed up in the mornings for breakfast. Freeloader he thought to himself as he cooked.

Should I visit Markiepoo now? Should I visit Jack? Jack... SHUT UP MIND!! DO NOT THINK OF JACKIE. Wait... What did I just call him..?

He starts humming, thinking to himself. Isaiah is a freeloader. Wish I could be doing something else right now... If I was, he'd start bitching at me about stupid shit and how I have to have things done for him right now. Wish I could be with Evelyn... WAIT WHAT!? The cereal bar dropped from his mouth. He dropped the spatula, slapping himself. "I thought nothing," he muttered to himself.

Evelyn sighed and got up, grabbing her phone, and calling Jack. "Hey Jackie~" she greeted when he answered the phone.

His mask flew across the room, and he sighed angrily as his phone rang. His dark skin had a deep red mark on it now. "Hello?" When he heard her call him 'Jackie' his eyes widened. "Don't call me that." he said through grit teeth. He sighed a little. "Well, anyway, what's up?"

She shrugged. "Nothing, just wanted someone to talk to; and you're the first person I thought of."

"W-Wouldn't it be be-better to talk in p-person than on th...the phone?" his face dusted a light, well, dark shade of red. He tried to hide the nervousness in his voice, but it was all too obvious and shaky.

Evelyn chuckled at his nervousness. "Sure, that's fine with me. "

"A-Alright." He told her his address, let out a "Good-bye," and hung up. He forgot he didn't have his mask on, and continued cooking, after picking up the stuff he dropped and washing the spatula to use again. He finished cooking but made more for Evelyn. He waited silently after finishing by watching TV.

She smiled. When he hung up, she almost walked out in her pajamas, until she remembered she was wearing only her under underwear. She giggled, and rushed to her room.
She undressed and but on a white tee-shirt, dark skinny jeans, black converse, a white baseball cap, and black-and-white stripped, fingerless gloves.
She then began her journey to Jack's house.

When he heard the knock on his door, he stood up, and didn't care if he was in his pajamas. He opened the door, waving. He had already taken off the apron, and stuffed it in a cabinet. He was confused at her shocked reaction. He touched his face, shocked to feel skin. His scars... They were hideous. His mouth slightly exposed his teeth. He slammed the door with a swift movement, rushing to grab his mask. He felt himself start to cry. On the inside, he felt like killing himself.

Evelyn stood there, and shook her head. He's special. I know it. She knocked again. "Jack? It's alright if you want want me to go..."

He opened the door. He forced a smile on himself. "N-No-o..." he stuttered shakily. "I-I-It's fine... Pl-please come in..." He had tears streaming down his face. He didn't care. Something was special about Evelyn.

She nodded and steoped in. He had it worse than her. "Jack." She pulled back her hair, revealing her scar. It began at her forehead and stopped under her left eye. She chuckled. "Must've forgot to cover it up..."

Why am I crying...? I-I'm not a baby... It's... Just scars... Right? But I'm hideous... I... I have no life... All I am is a man trying to cover up his feelings and himself. "P-Please excuse me..." He walked into the bathroom, cutting his wrists, and wrapping them in bandages. He grit his teeth every cut. The tears streamed down his face like a waterfall. He walked across the hall, his mask off, and grabbed a bottle of alcohol, and drank it. His alter-ego showed through. I'm here, Jack... a voice in his head said. "Jackknife..." he muttered. Red pupils appeared in the black eyes of his mask after he put it back on. "Jack, why must you damage your body even more? Do you want more scars?" He sighed. "We mustn't keep our guest waiting." He walked down the hall smoothly.

Evelyn just stood there, running her finger on her scar.

"Let's make sure you remember us..."

Evelyn's eyes widened and she quickly moved her hand from her scar.

He had a constant smirk on his face. "Well, what's up?" he asked. The red pupils were noticeable. Jackknife was curious on what this 'Evelyn' girl wanted.
