Hope laughed at the words, but it was a bitter, hate-filled laugh. She just shook her head, and said
"You think me caged. But I'm not. I don't feel guilty, nor do I feel fear. You think they will all be safe. We thought so too, for those few years of home. Sooner or later, this will all be taken apart. Because they fear us. And maybe it's time to show them that we have teeth" She bared her own, which were sharper then a normal humans.
"You are so...innocent as to think that if we leave them alone, they will leave us alone. They fear us. And people always get rid of the thing they fear" Solias looked over his shoulder at the Kirihaya's, and shook his head,
"no. She lives were we live. You must be thinking of someone else"Solias sighed, hearing what Hope said, and as Yuki stepped towards him, he said
"She's right. You don't know what it truly is like, back at the city. Raids, hunts, and killings or kidnappings. They will come here, when they know you exist here. And then they will hunt down all those you have helped. Right now, our stealing and interference keeps them on their toes. So maybe you should be thankful to us, and increase your protection or move somewhere else"He walked over to his sister, wrapping an arm around her for a moment, before they both darted off, back the way they had come, moving as one. Neither of them considered splitting up an option. They moved smoothly, and not once did they look back. They used their senses to make sure they weren't being following, or that they would come up to someone.
When they were nearly back to their shelter, both stopped smoothly, alert, tense, eyes flickering to the left and right, ears flickering at every sound. Something was wrong, as Hope crouched, Solias stood over her, both wary.
They made no sound as they carefully stepped about, and Hope was the one that had smelt the blood, dipping a finger in the pool of it, she growled, and Solias echoed her. They moved smoothly, and swiftly, and within seconds, they could sense a large group of people. Both stopped, moving to a wall, leaning against it, they listened. Footsteps echoed, to a disciplined march.
They darted down the street again, and soon found a way to a roof, running across it, they lept without hesitation, silent and quick. They were deadly, as they hunted, eyes piercing the darkness, they stopped when they came upon the large force of human soldiers. Their eyes darted over them, sniffing the air, fresh blood making Hope growl again.
They darted off, silent again, and now they split, swinging down back to the ground, they darted off in opposite directions, silently opening doors, they moved to wake and warn cursed children, soon coming back together. They searched for any more cursed children out and about, both surprised when they came across a boy, and girl, the girl seemed to be hurt.
"are you two okay?" Solias asked softly
