I've got to sleep in about ten minutes, so the probability of an Eve post is unlikely...But! I do have to wake up ridiculously early tomorrow nonetheless, so it might be up here before you all wake up anyways.

@Loony lol This is late for you? Regardless it's cool that you're on. We'll probably be the only ones here for a while. I think that we should start a segment called bug talk with Spinel and Loony so the mornings will be less slow.

@Loony I know what you mean, I was supposed to be up earlier to. I'll be sure to hide stuff if I post images. So yeah, um, I saw a green cicada the other day! Green cicadas are babbies and I love them, I always get excited if I spot one while doing yard work because I usually never get to see any.

Edit: And after looking it up, being large and green apparently means it's from Australia! I wonder how it got here.

We rarely get to see those here as well. In fact, I've only seen them dead, which is quite upsetting because I love cicadas, and like you said, they are sweet little children. TT__TT

I saw this pretty big fluffy moth about two days ago, had no idea what kind it was but it sort of reminded me of a black arches moth. And then I remembered how cute those moths are. Not that all moths aren't, but ye.

@Loony It's not surprising you mostly see them dead since they're originally from Australia, I doubt they'd have an easy time surviving so far up north.

Oh wow those are some beautiful moths! You'd seriously have a hard time convincing me that that first one wasn't deliberately posing for that photo. I think I'm going to start incorporating the term moth-eyed into my writing, because moths have some of the loveliest eyes ever.

@21308 No kidding, and even then I've only seen them once or twice. And they were always dead. TT__TT

Moths are actually just nfndgskfndkvj please save me from them are their fluffy little bodies and antennae and their eyes and pretty dneabfsnkdglhttp://theloonyone.tumblr.com/tagged/moths

Yes, moths truly do have some of the more gorgeous eyes, as do jumping spiders and damselfly eyes. Dear god, damselfly eyes are like actual gems.

@Loony I can't believe this is the first I've heard of those! I still think moths are the gentlest beings of the insect world, they're like little flying lambs, but damselflies may have the most beautiful eyes of any creature on earth.

@21308 You've never heard of damselflies? They're like...Everywhere but Antarctica. XD
They're closely related to dragonflies and a lot of people get them mixed up or aren't even away that there's a difference, just like moths and butterflies. The two best ways to tell them apart is that the wings of damselflies generally fold when they land while dragonflies generally don't, and that, if you can get a close enough glance, the eyes of damselflies are spread wide apart while dragonflies aren't. And as for me, I think of millipedes (which, fun fact, are the oldest land animal fossil that we have, meaning they've been around for pretty much forever) as the gentle children of the creepy-crawly world, but moths are a close second.

And yes, their eyes are truly gorgeous.

On an unrelated note, getting vaccinated for something as it turns out, so I'll be gone for a while.
