@Akayaofthemoon Sure if you'd like! XD
Right now I'm doing some Talc sketchies, as well as Galena and Microcline, whom in this RP's lore would be very big influences in her life, as would Bloodstone, of course, though it's those two that convinced her to make the switch. Or so I was planning, because I've been thinking that maybe they're all Homeworld gems thanks to an idea Kronshi gave me.
I'm also thinking of something,
@Kronshi, since evenkite is a unique mineral in that it's the only hydrocarbon one, I was thinking she wouldn't be made from any gem-shards, but if you decide that they all are made from previous gem shards, it'd be sorta cool if she were made from those of Microcline. Mickey was written as a foil to Eve but both started off very similar when they were young but grew up to be near polar opposites, and her being made from Microcline would explain a few things that I swear weren't intentional but make a lot of sense now that I think about it:
- When Sodalite offers the gems to use her weapons, Eve mentions that they're mostly too big for her, but is instantly drawn to a sword (dagger to the others), which is odd considering Eve's weapon is a pike (lance to others). Doesn't it seem a little odd? I wrote it on a whim and just decided 'meh it's small enough why not', but the thing is, Microcline's weapon was a sword (a Pulwar to be precise, though of course this is relative to their size), and so it might make sense as to why she was naturally drawn to it, rather than a weapon more akin to her own. It'd also be funny if she felt more comfortable with the sword than the pike for this very reason, especially since she'd probably feel like the pike was way too huge for her until she got accustomed to it, but would naturally be accustomed to the sword.
- Both of them are incredibly smol, Microcline being only five inches taller than Eve.
- Evenkite's first feelings when emerging
or rather realising she wasn't a wall were that of fear, which would be Microcline's emotional strength, and many of their actions were committed out of fear, though this also caused them to hold back a lot, while trust would've been their weakness, which being that they were very much a trusting gem, it was a bit of a safety mechanism, so to speak. Bloodstone might've tried to give Eve's emotional weakness as restraint to counter this, though did not forsee trust becoming such an issue.
- They both have the same eye shape and colour, and similar colour schemes with their three basic colours being white, pale yellow, and green, except Eve leans more on the warmer side while Microcline leans more on the colder side.
- Power wise, Microcline could manipulate (but not create until much later on) mist, while Evenkite can create (but not manipulate until much later on, probably never in this roleplay) smoke, which you can see as sort of parallels to each other. They're also triggered for parallel reasons, Microcline for when they're riled up (not a very common occurrence) and Eve when she's burnt out (a much more common occurrence thanks to the events in the RP thus far).
- Both relied heavily on speed for their battles.
- Though Eve is mostly a cautious gem thanks to Talc, she was naturally wary since emmerging, again, possibly influence from Microcline, though she's beginning to grow out of this (more of her own self, I guess?).
- Also it'd be super cute and sad since Microcline would look out for Talc when she was a newborn and Talc would do the same for Eve now, and the older ones of the equations died earlier than the younger ones expected, and without them knowing or being present.
