Also I just saw Too Far an it was amazing! I'm really loving all of this exposition Peridot is giving, it's giving me so many ideas for my own characters and the cute stuff with Amethyst was also the best. Now she just needs some cute moments with Garnet and the cuteness trifecta will be complete.

Pearls, as we've pretty much known for a while are servants to higher ranking gems, and Quartz gems are the soldier class.

What would the non-canon ones for this RP be? I guess Spinels would maybe be for combat as well, but they'd have more specialized jobs than Quartz gems, like stealth or defense. Maybe Beryl gems could be teachers or something?

Peridots are Technicians and Mechanics. Possibly watchers over Kindergartens (or at least the mechanics running them)

@Akayaofthemoon Oh yeah, duh. I really wonder what kind of job Ruby and Sapphire would have had now. We've already kind of been told that they're "weak gems," maybe they weren't meant to fight?

My guess is yes, they were not meant to fight. It sounds like fusion is looked down upon and is a last resort option for those weak and caught with an enemy or if they needed more fighters and the weakest fuse to make stronger warriors but is still bad in others eyes that you can't fight alone. It isn't something they view as good because I don't believe they understand the necessary trust factor in it because either one could be trapped or in control depending on the fusion. I can see how most would be weary or frown at that. They might think like Jasper and forget the other gems feelings on the matter

@Akayaofthemoon Yeah, that sounds about right. I thought it was really interesting how Peridot was uncomfortable being around Garnet and I think it ties into that, the idea that someone could permanently be comfortable as a fusion really weirds her out.

@Akayaofthemoon I think Rubies and Sapphires and other small Gems like that (Including Peridots) are more like the workforce of Homeworld. MEAAANNNNNWHILE, who wants to hear about Emeralds as a species......variety................thiiiinnnnnnnnggggggg?

I think Ruby is a work force. I am not so sure about Sapphire. I don't know but something about her makes her seem like a noble. Kind of an even more forbidden love kind of thing than they already have in HomeWorld's eyes but that is just me

@AkayaofthemoonTiger's Eyes are supposed to be shock troopers, meant to rush in and wreak havoc with their abilities, which is why Mars would be a fine specimen and Tiger was a strange oddity.

I've already stated this in the IC but Bloodstones are Scientists, Teachers, Experimenters, etc. They're knowledge oriented inside and out but the war has turned my Bloodstone into a full-scale warrior who learns all about his opponents so he can copy them and use their strengths as his own.

@Kronshi@Raijinslayer Emeralds are a sort of experimental soldier (Not to be confused with super-soldier) that vary wildly from one to the other, and can have many strange oddities, like my Emerald's weird personality-things. The variability is mostly to figure out what works well, and the new specimens are altered to try and keep the good stuff and not the bad. Basically a bunch of lab-rat prototype-soldiers.

@HaltingBlooper Makes sense, Bloodstone took a lot of oddities with him on his mission and it would make sense that he would experiment to understand what causes these oddities to occur if it can even be explained by science. Emeralds may have been his first experiments and your Emerald stayed in way too long (I think you've already said this).

I've never really thought of Aquamarine's position to be truthfully honest. Some of the things Blood has said has kind of shaped my opinion of her role, that Aquamarine was kind of unusual and looked down upon at HomeWorld. I don't think Aqua was suppose to be a fighter. I think she was made for helping those in Kindergartens understand what they would be, giving them the needed information of their job and healing those in combat. I think this is why Aquamarine is so sensitive when it comes to knowledge or fighting skills being thrown at her because she has come a long way to be where she is and as strong as she is. She literally went against her every being to learn how to fight and the war was just that hair too much, hence why she did fusion so she could be lost and the others would be stronger and have more of a chance at living.
