He chuckles a little at Spinel's attempt and doesn't seem to be going anywhere soon despite Reggie's threat. He'll take that tackle. He's Gilles. He ain't gonna listen to no one if he don't wanna.

Gilles is such a mess honestly Reggie he tried to get close to what he assumed was a ghost and tried going more close to the Red Eye's track so he could get a better shot of it on camera like.
This kid would greet death incarnate with a great big bear hug and offer a cookie.

Lol talk about a spoopy fail, Spinel was intending to frighten Meave and now she's the one who's scared. And it actually gets me thinking, we know that gems can change their appearance, but does that include turning invisible? I don't think we've seen that happen a single time yet, even when it would have provided a strategic advantage.

@21308Well, if their bodies are made of light,I guess it's possible, but I don't think it'd be an easy thing to accomplish, probably taking a large amount of time that would probably be better suited to learning something else.

@Raijinslayer Hm, that kind of makes sense. It must be fairly difficult because we haven't even seen Amethyst do it once, as much as she loves pranks. There's also the added issue that their gems would still be visible, which is a problem Spinel doesn't really have to worry about, since her gem is almost totally transparent.

There are one invisible Gem but it was a corrupted one. It was the one that Sadie poofed when they were "trapped" on the island.
I think it would still be something only certain gems could do.

On another note, Maeve has the ability to manipulate light so she could "disappear" if she wanted too by bending the light in a certain way but that would take way too much skill than she has and also would be really draining so it would be extremely difficult to hold something like invisibility for long

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to upset you. It isn't truly an invisible thing according to my dad. Honest...it is more like...fooling the eyes? Ummm someone help me out here?"

"Spinel, Sunstone could not turn invisible. She could manipulate light in such a way that your eyes could not view her from the direction you were looking and it was near impossible to do such from all angles. It was very draining on her where as it is easy for you since it is a natural ability. You have nothing to worry about."

@Akayaofthemoon "Ah, it's alright. You didn't upset me, it's just that stealth is kind of my entire thing, but that wouldn't mean much if my primary ability was something just anyone could do. Thank you Aquamarine, I feel a lot better now, and this Susntone sounds very interesting."

Hm yeah, I remembered that one gem but wasn't sure if it really counted since like you said it was a gem monster. If a monster who was made to was able to do it but we don't see competent gems using the same ability as soon as it becomes useful, maybe Spinel really doesn't have anything to worry about.

I doubt she has anything to worry about. Though the body is composed of light, it acts as a solid and thus ruins any potential to be able to make invisibility but that is just my opinion since it would be all theory and it would be impossible to prove.
