Now you might (but probably aren't) thinking if my sketches digitally are any cleaner than my traditional ones.

The answer is no. But at least it'll be way cleaner once it's finished.

@Loony I know how that feels Loon. Maybe just try starting of with a very small amount of something? Something mild that you think you can handle?

@21308 I've pretty much lived off nothing but small amounts of fruit, nuts, soymilk and water the past week. I'm trying to bake some kale chips so we'll see how that goes.

@Loony I'm glad you're eating healthy but it sounds like that diet might possibly be deficient in things you need. It's very good that you're eating at all though, and I totally understand. I've been in states where I hated the sight of food, it was quite bad. I hope the kale chips turn out well for you.

@Loony

Just take it slow. Start with light soups and small fruits before working your way up to the heavier things like breads. It is just a slow process to heading back in the right direction

@21308 Well it's not like I can really eat unhealthy when unhealthy usually equals heavy. Plus we don't get much access to unhealthy food in this house, especially since I'm a vegetarian and most of the unhealthy foods her contain meat. And I'm still hating the sight of food but I'm trying to eat anyways. This is a bit of a jump. A few days I tried cooking lentil soup but I couldn't manage it and just gave it all to my friend since they loved it. So hopefully this will go better.

@Loony

If you can start with some kind of broth only. Something like miso soup which is just broth and tofu. That would probably be best. Milkshakes are usually a good jumpstart too or smoothies. Blended they won't be as hard on you

@Loony In some ways I kind of envy you, pretty much the only foods I have access to are snacks. For some reason the idea of your friend just eating a whole pot of lentil soup is really funny to me. Cooking for friends is kind of hilarious in general though. Anyways yeah, it really puts my mind at ease to hear that you're trying to eat even if you don't want to. The alternative is something I strongly don't recommend.

@21308 They had six bowls of the soup in less than an hour. They really, really liked the soup. XD
Which actually meant a whole lot since everyone's scared of my cooking for some reason. The only other person who likes it is my sister. The only person who ever asks me to cook for her or give recipes (which is sort of hard to do since I never go by recipes or take measurements). Orz
The thing is even if I avoided food altogether, my mother would snap and that's something I'd want to deal with even less than eating. Angry Kurdish people are people to be avoided.
And I'm sorry all you have access to are snacks. College, I'm guessing? My sister's always insisted on healthy foods only so she'd go days without food just to avoid unhealthy snacks. I might be living with her and since I have little apetite or general wants (My room is comprised of nothing but a bookshelf half made of cardboard, pens, and a mattress) and I'll be working too, hopefully that'll be easier on her.
@Akayaofthemoon Never tried miso, just might look it up.

@21308 Oh, and nuts and seeds are always available in my household. In any Kurdish household really. My mother bought 50 kilos of shelled walnuts when the limit was ten by pretending we were five different families XD
So we literally have this huge crate of walnuts in the basement that's slowly becoming more and more like a jar because we spend hours together just cracking and storing them, along with two boxes filled with pecans, bags of pischatios and sunflower and pumpkin seeds, a jar of cashews, a plastic container for almonds (though admittedly it's usually Jade who gets them, not the humans) and when I request them, a small container of hazelnuts or brazil nuts.

So jealous of your nut stash XD

Heads up, not sure what is in miso paste so might need to look that up. I don't think it has any meat in it but it is a traditional Japanese soup and they sometimes have some strange stuff I wouldn't think about. Wouldn't want you to try something that goes against vegetarian but the tofu is what makes me think it should be safe XD

@Loony And you just watched them eat it? XD I used to be pretty great at making fried eggs, which a friend of mine would insist I do for them. I have a little sister who likes my cooking a lot too, I find that cooking for younger siblings is pretty nice as opposed to cooking for parents who often harp on the little details instead of just letting you make the dish they way you make it.

I know a thing or two about snapping mothers too, my mom can get pretty awful about it sometimes. And yeah college is a big part of why I can't get better stuff, mostly I just can't afford it. I don't know if I'm looking forward to getting out so I can finally get a job and start paying 200$ a month on my loans or dreading it.

@21308
What else would I do? XD
My little brother's actually the fussiest one out of my family and won't touch anything I make but tofu. My older sister's a real picky eater but she loves my stuff, so that's great. Mom doesn't touch my stuff even though she's not picky, Dad are the opposite of picky but they never eat a dish of mine more than once. Like, ever. Every recipe I've made for him he's only had once in his life. I definitely like cooking for my older sister best, and my little brother the worst. Orz

And I wish you luck. I wouldn't know whether or dread or be excited myself. Probably dread in my case solely because I'm quick to panic, especially thanks to my good old friend, Generalized Anxiety Disorder.

@Loony I'm glad that your sister is nice about eating your food at least. The situation with your dad sounds kind of weird though, like he'll eat anything you make as long as it's the first time you've made that dish and then refuse to have it ever again?

Ha well I guess whether or not I should dread it depends a lot on whether or not I actually manage to get the job I'll need. I'm really looking forward to earning something like a decent income at some point but yeah, I know a thing or two about being anxious about it myself.
